I was so excited to get this and the whole build has been completely delightful. There are so many easter eggs throughout the set that it's clearly designed with love. Even parts that will eventually be covered like the roof get special treatment! My only gripe, an it's a very minor one, is that Ginny's room isn't accessible to play once you build it which is a shame but you could always take off that part of the build as it's very modular. In addition, the colours are beautiful. Everything is very cosy and not harsh or overly bright. It feels like a family home.Favourite parts:- The kitchen table. It's so colourful and cosy you want to sit down with them- The pigsty. This set unfortunately isn't great value for money compared to many of the past Harry Potter sets produced. The build itself has some interesting techniques throughout, but unfortunately as you build the many small rooms for the various family members within the house, you end up covering up all the detail as you go along as the size of the build doesn't allow for much access due to adding roofs on top etc.The enjoyment of the build quickly disappeared as each room was completed and added to the build. There is very little acces to even place some of the minifigures.I appreciate the house is meant to be crowded due to the number of bodies within the family, but I found this set to be disappointing due to the size in the end and feel that just a couple more studs ... MoreThis set unfortunately isn't great value for money compared to many of the past Harry Potter sets produced. There is very little acces to even place some of the minifigures.I appreciate the house is meant to be crowded due to the number of bodies within the family, but I found this set to be disappointing due to the size in the end and feel that just a couple more studs hight or width would have turned this set into something more playable.

I love this set. Each bag of bricks tells another story from the perspective of one of the Weasleyâs lives. Each personality has their own corner or room of this house and I was sad to finish building! The build is a lengthy one, it is definite value for money. Each minifigure is instantly recognisable (although Fred and George are very similar- but that makes sense too- I canât tell them apart in the films either). The details in the kitchen are my favourites although the bathroom and posters come close. It is my first ÂŁ100+ purchase and I put a lot of thought into it and so I am very happy that it lived up to my expectations. If you are on the fence about saving ip for it- in my opinion, you wonât be disappointed.

The reason I am give a four LEGO rating has to do with the fact that as you go from the bottom up, the rooms get small to the point you can barely put a figure in to the bed. Percyâs room is only access through the door but would need tweezers. Seems rooms were supposed to be removable with the LEGO piece 6257592, but would likely destroy the room you are trying to remove(resulting in rebuild). Seems there was more thought put into to adding as much as possible rather than any reenactment of scenes. The room behind the bathroom is not accessible without removing the chimney. Seems this should have also been a part that could have been opened like the house itself. Seems this should have also been a part that could have been opened like the house itself. I really enjoy putting this together and had some positive features; such as the unlevel part of the Burrow, slanted windows, flue network, turning clock, and bewitched kitchen. Instructions on how to access each hidden room without separating the set would have been nice. Unlike the collectors Hogwarts train, this set leaves some playability behind such as, the hidden room, Percyâs room, small twin room, Ronâs room, front room right of the kitchen, and the chair in the living room. Still love Harry Potter Sets but lackluster about the playability to make scenes.
Iâve built 40 different sets the past 2 years including the avengers tower, daily bugle, and the latest great hall. The burrows was definitely the most enjoyable build Iâve done yet! So many intricate building techniques, the lean to the building, all the references from the movie, no waisted space, nothing felt repetitive. This was so refreshing and exceeded my expectations! Playability is fantastic, I didnât feel like the whole thing was gonna fall apart when I took rooms apart, fairly sturdy! Five stars all day âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸I hope Lego can keep the momentum going because all the new sets that have been coming out are looking fantastic! Great job Lego!
I really enjoyed building this set, itâs much bigger than the Attack on The Burrow set I already have and didnât feel like I was just doing the same build again. I donât mind the small rooms not being accessible for playing but it does feel a shame to cover up all the details. I do love being half way through some instructions and suddenly clicking, like oh itâs the twins room! Itâs great to have Charlie and Bill and the alternative face of a dusty Harry. I did miss a frog and some wands from previous builds. Must have been a very peaceful day at The Burrow. Great addition to my collection. Fitted nicely onto the shelf after a rejig. Time for a bigger shelf.
Got this delivered today from Lego.com and it looks brilliant and I canât wait to build it, Iâm still waiting for my arm to repair after shoulder and arm break and I just really want to enjoy this build without struggling or pain so unfortunately I still need to give it a couple of months to get better. This set looks like such a nice build focusing on all of the nice things in that scene from the second film where the boys arrive at the burrow by flying car and (after a brisk telling off) all sit down like one big happy family. Itâs nice that we are still seeing new sets even from the early films reimagined in new ways. This just seem like such a happy set even includes a rubber duck which is a nod to Aurthur Weasleys muggle question to Harry where he asks him ... MoreGot this delivered today from Lego.com and it looks brilliant and I canât wait to build it, Iâm still waiting for my arm to repair after shoulder and arm break and I just really want to enjoy this build without struggling or pain so unfortunately I still need to give it a couple of months to get better. Thank you
Hey, I just ordered this. Watched many YouTube videos and as this may not be the consensus choice for a UCS Potter set, I think itâs pretty incredible neat build with all the angles from pictures. The three gwpâs is what sold me on it. My sister went to the movies today and told me she was sad and Dumbledore died in it and she said that the Burrows burned down, the set you are getting. Also, The bill minifigure has a ponytail red hair piece and when I was younger I had a ponytail and I will use that hairpiece to build my sig fig.
As a major Harry Potter fan, I always have had a love for The Burrow, and despite Lego having made two prior sets, neither of them were really as close, detailed, or to the scale that this set is. My only critiques of this set is the lack of detail on the mini-figures, the lack of printed Lego pieces, and the exclusion of a printed quote and minifigure stand as found in the Diagonal Alley set I also have. These few details really disappointed me as this is meant to be a Collectors Edition set, so naturally one would expect these few minor details. The price to include these details would not be too much more expensive and could easily fit in the large markup per brick this set has.
Sadly this is the first Lego set Iâve ever been disappointed by.Iâll be honest - this was an impulse buyâŚthe idea of having a set with all the Weasleys together (plus Harry) and their magical home and the return to hogwarts special offers are what sold me.The build itself is fairly straightforwardâŚnothing overly complicated. I do like the wonky look and the ability to swap the two parts on the base. But thatâs where the magic ends. The burrows is supposed to be a quirky magical place filled with years of memories and random artefacts collected over the years. With each new member to the family the house was extended and to help keep on top of things a lot of magic was used. Yet none of this has been captured in the LEGO set.My first ever set was the Friends ... MoreSadly this is the first Lego set Iâve ever been disappointed by.Iâll be honest - this was an impulse buyâŚthe idea of having a set with all the Weasleys together (plus Harry) and their magical home and the return to hogwarts special offers are what sold me.The build itself is fairly straightforwardâŚnothing overly complicated. Yet none of this has been captured in the LEGO set.My first ever set was the Friends (TV show)⌠that had references to many aspect of the show and instructions had bits of trivia as you went along â this set has a handful of items and no trivia. Most of the bedrooms are inaccessible even when you open itâŚno stairsâŚvirtually no where to put the mini figuresâŚand the only things that move is a brush, a clock, and the floo fireplace. That means thereâs virtually no playability. When comparing this with the mini hogwarts and ground set with a similar amount of pieces I found that one more enjoyable to build, it looks better, and even hid moments from the movie - and itâs cheaper. For the price the set should have been slightly bigger with more magical elements. I also feel more thought needed to have gone into the set. For me it feels like it was rushed to market and didnât receive the same level of love other sets have had. It certainly needs a price adjustment - even comparing it to the family reunion celebrationâŚthis set has 13 mini figures, granted just under 2000 pieces but that is almost 3 times cheaper. In short -An ok build, completely Weasley family, but lacks magic and playabilityâŚwith and overpriced price tag.
