First of all, I love anything Batman...hence my mancave is a Batcave. So if Batman had a space shuttle, this would be it. Since this year, 2019, is the 50th anniversary of the landing on the moon, it's cool to get something space-related in honor of that. As for the product itself, very cool to have the engines and boosters removable just like an actually shuttle, and even have the extra Batsuits, since Batman is all about his different suits.

So, I ordered this because I wanted Robin and because I saw that it fit together with the bat cave.I’m not the biggest fan of Lego cars or vehicles, but I made the exception for this. I made the right choice. It’s well put together and has little details like places to keep Batman’s batarangs and other weapons. It fits along side the bat cave but doesn’t click together with it, which is slightly bumming me out, but they do fit well.(I highly suggest you buy the bat cave with this. They go so well together.)The figures are fun. I especially enjoy the Rastafarian outfit it comes with. It’s very colorful.Another cool feature I enjoyed was the spaceship opening up for a little Land Rover. For some reason I could only think of Batman fighting crime on Mars.I ... All I can say is that its about time. I have wanted a bat-spacecraft for a long time and this exceeded my expectations. Not only is the shuttle AWESOME! but the batcave landing strip is also cool. The shuttle is really heavy, heavier than I thought it would be. I like how the bat moon buggy fits inside the shuttle, but I am disappointed that a minifigure can not fit in place of it while sitting. The minifigure has to be lying down in order for it to fit. The shuttle bay is ok. I like the moving suit rack and the weapon rack. I kinda wish that the shuttle could attach to the bay instead of just sitting next to it. I like the three batsuits, especially Reggae man. I wish that the villian would have been different as in the movie, catwoman was never near the shuttle! ... MoreAll I can say is that its about time. The Batshuttle is a nice change-up for the The Batman Movie series and I liked they thought of expanding the Batcave Break-in. Building the Batshuttle was fun, my only complaint is me being selfish and wishing it was a tad bit bigger. One surprise I was not expecting was the ability for the shuttle to open up and store the Bat-Moon Buggy. Having the ability to slide the Reggae, Space and Firestarter suits was a nice touch.Overall it's a pretty quick build, 643 pieces and the instruction booklet is 119 pages with 75 steps. The shuttle does not connect to the launchpad and just slides into place.I agree with the other reviewers that swapping out Catwoman and/or Dick Grayson with some additional new minifigures would have changed this set from a home run to a grand ... This is a great set for any lego fan who loves batman. The only issue is why there are regular minifigures in there as well when they could have added more special ones. I have so many batman minifigures already and wished there were more special or exclusive ones. The opportunities for play are pretty good though. The bat spaceship is something I wanted since I saw it in the movie. Great job lego just could have used some more exclusive figures in this set.
This was one of three 2018 batman sets I was going to get first. This was a nice little build and didn't realise until I opened the instructions that it connects to the Batcave, so for play purpose you can expand you Batcave. The expansion of the cave is amazing. Really like the costume rack and area for weapons. Probably would of preferred a new villain rather than another Catwoman.
The Bat Space shuttle is a nice addition to the Lego Batman Movie vehicle collection. If you have the Batcave (70909) then it looks great joined with that, makes a very big set which is great for play. If you don't have the Batcave the rest isn't really needed although the alternative bat costumes are always nice.Overall a nice set but a bit over priced, could have done with an exclusive villan or two.
I love this set. I was excited when pictures were leaked back in 2017 and couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I bought one to build and another to keep in the box. This is by far one of the coolest Batman "rides" to date. The only issue is the price. 643 pieces for $79.99... that comes to 12 cents per piece which is higher than average. I must admit, however, if the set were $99 I would still have bought it. Hopefully we'll see a Bat-train soon :)
Pros: Swooshable set that was a fun build and looks very nice on display. I love sets that integrate with other sets...and this one connecting to the main Batcave 70909 was a nice touch. I also like the extra bat suits and the Bat-Canoe. Just some fun little touches here. The price per part seems high but there are a lot of larger parts in this set so it is actually pretty fairly priced.Cons: Stickers. I think I would have have a different villain here...Catwoman seems out of place in this set.
Wow! What an awesome set! We had a blast building this set. And it is fun for my son to play with. It had just the right amount of pieces to keep my 6 year old interested to build it, but not too many either. He was excited as you can tell what you are building the entire time. He knew that we were building the shuttle, or the boosters, etc. All-in-all, a great piece. And... ITS BATMAN!
