I’m an oceanographer and have worked on several ice breaking ships in the Arctic, and this set got it all right! It was really fun to build and I love the addition of the ROV, helicopter and small boat. The Arctic series is my all time favorite, great work LEGO!

I never get bored with these under sea exploration sets and I have a collection dating back years and years. This set fits in perfectly and has some awesome little side builds to complete the underwater adventure. The only criticism I have of this set is that once again, we have a large ship hull that is achieved by using two half-hulls. LEGO have produced sets in the past with one big hull, so it can be done.

Our family is a huge fan of the arctic sets in general, and the attention to detail for such a large ship has made this one of our favorites. Highly recommend.
Love that Lego is making these larger boats. This one is expertly detailed, lots of play features, and well designed. Great idea to combine the arctic and divers themes. New orca is awesome. Please make the new hull piece in red as it would be a perfect fireboat!
I understand you give up a lot in the terms of piece count when you have piece with a large pre build section but this item is grossly overpriced for what you get as a far as legos go.
I bought if for the 4th birthday if my son. He made it in 2 days and now he plays with it for weeks. It's not just the joys of building a Lego set, its a discovery toy. Now he like the sea and sailing more and can't wait for our next trip with a boat
This was a two day build for an eight year old who only let me sort bricks. He also had to deal with a younger brother who kept taking finished parts to play with. As with most of our builds, talking while we work together is a big part of the build.
Pros: Lego boats are always a mixed bag...you give up a lot of part count for those big hull pieces...and often the boats themselves are kinda meh. This was an exception though. This is a good overall build. The boat is well designed and offers a lot in play features without cutting too deep on the part count. The inclusion of some new animals and a sunken treasure really rounded it out nice. It has decent figures and overall it feels and plays well. My nephew and I easily filled a full afternoon exploring the high seas. Cons: Stickers...I hate stickers in general...but Lego boats should NEVER have stickers. You know the kid is going to take it into the tub, the pool and every puddle in the yard and those stickers last about an hour once they get wet.
Lego is always a winner! Got this set for my son’s birthday at a fantastic price! Packed and sent super fast! Very happy!
