As with most sets, you establish the moving parts early on in the build. I found the elastic band section (which controls the Ejector Seat) to be a little more fiddly than usual, but once the surrounding pieces were in place, it wasn't too much of an issue. It's a robust and sturdy build: weighty enough to feel substantial but not too heavy to detract from play.Play-wise, there are many options available: the aforementioned Ejector Seat is controlled using the rear bumper, opening the roof on pull and ejecting the seat on release. Additionally, the gear stick inside the car controls the front facing machine guns and the exhaust pipe raises and lowers the bulletproof shield at the rear of the car. Some of these features are a little stiff, but they're reliably designed and not difficult to use.The only slight negative I have is that the elegance of the car it is based on is a little lost in translation to Lego, featuring far more angles than are present in its real-life counterpart. Don't expect a 1:1 recreation of the DB5. That said, it's a striking design that certainly evokes the classic car and 007's unique features give it a unique feel.Overall, I'm really impressed with the set. A (somewhat) lengthy, but straightforward build and quite a few play options mean this is a must-have for any globe-trotting spy enthusiasts. Excellent.

As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it. It has a lot of cool details from the movie car and does a good job of recreating the look of the DB5. In reality the DB5 has a rounded, curvy shape that is difficult to recreate with blocks but Lego does a good job pulling it off. I had no issue with missing pieces, the color is consistent over the entire kit and it was very straight forward to assemble with no real issues. All the gadgets work well for me and the only real issue I had was with the pop-up panel that "protects" the back window. I had an issue when I built it but after taking a moment to study the instructions and just think through the mechanism I got it all figured it out and it works fine. I must admit when I first saw photos of the latest Creator Expert Car I was extremely disappointed. It looked like a poor representation of the subject matter and I was put off purchasing it.However I ended up receiving the set as a gift for Christmas and set about building it. It's a challenging build due to the several in built functional features. I'm still not 100% sure I've got it right, as the gearstick operated front guns mechanism sticks most of the time, although I can't figure out where I went wrong.The good news is when built and on display it doesn't look anywhere near as squared off as I'd originally thought. The only thing that really stands out is the heavily squared off front end that lets it down a bit from head on.I can understand why the compromises have been made though, as the actual functional bond gadget elements have been incorporated well. Only the aforementioned guns, which may again be a mistake on my part.I'm very happy with this set, it exceeded my low expectations by a long way and if you collect the Creator cars this compliments the rest of the series really well. If you have been putting off purchasing it due to pictures you've seen, don't be.
