I bought the Batmobile on launch day because I knew this would be a great addition to my display. It took me around six hours to build and wasn't difficult so I imagine most people, young and old, would be able to build the Batmobile. Younger builders may need some help applying the stickers - they are quite small. The detail is good and the size is perfect. If you've read/seen any reviews about the Batmobile then you'll be aware there isn't a Classic Robin included in the set. This is a shame, and it would have been nice but as it isn't minifig scale, this shouldn't be a dealbreaker. If you like Batman, remember the TV series, or looking for a great build, then this is the set for you!

First off love the set! I was so excited when it was announced to come out. But beware of the stickers. I knew there would be a lot of stickers because if they did it right everything in the Batmobile was going to be labeled. But I didn’t realize how many stickers there would be. They labeled things outside of the car that are not labeled in the show but it’s so you know what it does if you haven’t seen the show in a while. There is one sticker that I hated putting on. It’s a circle tile with a hole in it, Terrible sticker. They should have made that a print piece since it is a compass and they could use it other build. Also feel like the specification plaque should be printed.Also. if you are hoping for creator car style with the hood and doors opening, sorry. ... MoreFirst off love the set! No opening doors.Other than that the set is great. The build is amazing. The end product looks great. I do wish we got Robin to go with Batman. Since the only TV Series Robin we got was in the Batcave a while ago.

I've been on a spree of trying to get every Lego Batmobile, and I've got many, including the big and small '89 ones, the 2016 BvS one, The big Tumbler, the big The Batman one, and the small '60's one. When I saw that there was only a small one for the 1960's version, me and my dad were sad because he loves the show and I love the batmobile in it. So when I saw they made a big one, I had to get it. And I am very happy with it, except for one part.I know people like to hate Lego for its excessive use of stickers, but I somewhat understand because it can be hard to do a whole mold for such tiny details. However, there is a piece in this with a sticker that is very noticeable if you misplace it even a little bit. It's the "wings" on the back half of the car. However, there is a piece in this with a sticker that is very noticeable if you misplace it even a little bit. It's the "wings" on the back half of the car. There's a red trim on it and stickers on the side. However, if you don't put the stickers on the very edge of the piece, you will see the red brick underneath and it completely messes up the design of the red trim. I'll show it in my photo and how it's supposed to look in the instructions. I'm not yet finished building it but I already love this build so much. Now I don't know the exact process of making these bricks, but I feel like a dual mold with red and black would fix this immediately and might be pretty simple to do. Lego has never let me down before, and I know it's a bit of a nitpick, but it really messes up my favorite part of this batmobile. If someone at Lego sees this review and actually gets this fixed, it would only solidify Lego as easily the best "toy" company out there.Thank y'all for reading my review and slight rant!

I’ve loved building every one of the Batmobiles I have. First it was the ‘89 Batman. Then the Batman Begins Tumbler. Then The Batman’s Batmobile/ muscle car. Then I tossed in the ‘89 Batwing and then the smaller versions of the 66 Batmobile and the Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile. Then this was released and I think I love it the most. The colors really pop; it’s a perfect size, funny cute little (sticker add-on) details all throughout and it rides super smooth! All I need now is a like-sized TAS Batmobile and my life will be complete. I’m not even the biggest Batman fan in the world or anything I’ve just been drawn to the Batmobile’s and love to build them and have them on display!
First off, if you're expecting opening doors/hood, detailed engine, and steering... you're gonna be disappointed. However, if you want a LEGO version of the coolest Batmobile ever... (That's right. COOLEST EVER! PERIOD!) you WON'T be disappointed. All the Bat- gadgets are present and you can always add your own or make these work. Cockpit glass was individually package so no scratches. Instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. Word of caution, though, watch placement of stickers on door and Bat-computer wires in trunk. Pieces overlap and could cover them.
After the 89 and 22 Batmobiles, Tumbler and Batwing, the 1966 was always eagerly awaited - especially after the two smaller scale versions.I used the App Builder for this with its 3D instructions. Sometimes this was a little frustrating when getting to some repeat building (a minor quibble), but this app is always fun (especially with the volume up)The build itself is very nice, helped with a slight change from just building up black bricks as there is a lot of red trim to the model. There's clever use of pieces to make the accessories (Bat-phone, Bat-fire-extinguisher) and an array of stickers if you like that sort of thing (I had mixed results lining some up)I love the minifigure display and the familiar Information Plate. Some assembly needs a firm hand ... MoreAfter the 89 and 22 Batmobiles, Tumbler and Batwing, the 1966 was always eagerly awaited - especially after the two smaller scale versions.I used the App Builder for this with its 3D instructions. I just love the model but one thing really bugged me when I opened the box: "Where's Robin???" Batman 1966 was always about Batman and Robin. Even your booklet pictures show Robin. So how the heck can you put a Batman minifigure alone without Robin??? It might seem overkilled but for the firs time, Lego disappointed me by omitting Robin in the box! As for the model, it's simply beautiful and remarkable.
Design is top notch. Looks just like the 1966 TV series. The "wings" on the side are an amazing touch as are the nuances throughout the build. A bit disappointed it didn't have some "trick bat skills" incorporated into the build (all labels and design of the Bat Computer in the trunk) similar to the 007 Bond Aston Martin.BUT - a great build, packaging per step was top notch, and overall well designed.
Pros1. it looks awesome2. It looks really awesome3. Wow factor wind shields4. Cool interior details (Stickers)5. Cool red trim on seats6. Nailed the design7. Mobile Crime Computer in car trunkCons1. No suspension2. No engine3. No steering4. No doors5. No Robin6. No flames7. Other than an opening trunk, no play features8. StickersConclusionIf you are a child of the 60’s or a Batman fan, this is a must have. It looks really really awesome !
I loved to built this set. I liked that the bags had not to many bricks in it. It speeded up the overall construction process and gave me a good feeling in the progress of the build. It is a great looking model, but has besides the trunk lid nothing that’s functioning. No steering. No doors, no hood. This was for me the negative part. But as said it’s a great looking model in a surprisingly big size.I still can recommend it.
