I’m going to start this review by saying the Botanic Garden is easily the best Lego friends set I’ve ever seen or built and a phenomenal Lego set in general. I’ve loved building it and found it really relaxing and joyous. I bought it for myself but as I’m also a parent so it will get played with as well.Overall it’s really fun build, not at all repetitive with some really great building techniques. The part use is super innovative and includes some fantastic recolours of previous pieces. The green saxophones for example, make a fantastic monkey jar plant and it’s great fun making all the plants. I love the botanical Lego collection and this appeals to me as an adult in a similar way, but it would also will fit superbly in with my Modular buildings. I could also see it in a Winter Village with a few snowy extras. It’s interesting enough for an adult builder and very relaxing, but I think a more capable child could easily make this set unaided (my daughter is ten and could manage for example). There is loads of play value here for kids, she loves all the plants and the butterflies in particular. However, we are now planning to put two together and make a bigger garden. The mini dolls are lovely and the colour scheme is wonderful, gone are the old bright garish pink and purple colour schemes of the old Lego Friends, this is just gorgeous and visually very appealing. I picked this set up in person and was surprised by how heavy it was, you do seem to get a lot of parts for your money and lots of pieces spare.I would highly recommend this set, it’s gorgeous, fun to build, had lots of play value and would be a wonderful display piece or addition to a Lego town, especially as it’s not especially mini doll rather than minifigure sized. Perfect!

Enjoyable and artistic set with the look and structure of my local botanical garden building. This Lego Friends set combined architectural elements similar to the modular series to the museum-like qualities of some of the expert ideas sets. Loved it. Might buy another to extend and complete to combine with the Bookshop and the Blacksmiths shop. The plants and trees were fun to build. Awesome set.

This Lego Friends Botanic Garden is one of the best Friends set I have even gotten. With its beautifully structured green house and filled with plenty of exotics plants, I really wish I could turned into one of those tiny Lego butterfly in this set and fly around inside! The building part was fun too, with many new elements and techniques to discover along the way. This set has kept me entertains during and after the build.

I consider myself a bit of a Lego junkie, I have more sets than I have room for so I have to alternate them on my display shelves. As much as I also like to incorporate greenery on the shelves, I have never been able to keep anything alive. I bought this set the minute I saw it and it was one of my favorite builds ever. I learned a lot about different plants with the explanations in the instruction book, and the build itself is just beautiful. It wasn’t too difficult to build for an adult although my 4 year old tried playing with it and I had to rebuild it again shortly after.
It took my breath away when I saw this set. Took me no time to decide that I wanted to build it. The attention to detail is amazing! The architecture of the building and the gorgeous plants. This set is beautiful and was such a pleasure to build. I do think it was a little bit on the small side but overall really beautiful and fun build.
The Botanical Garden is my favorite LEGO set of all time! Fun to build and the plants are so creative. I'm rearranging my entire city to make a place for it!General wishes: 1) That we could have the option to choose traditional mini-figures with the Friends sets instead of the "dolls" 2) That the traditional min-figs could be as diverse as the Friends figures...just a thought...LOVE THIS SET!!
I am blown away by this set! The neoclassical aesthetic is just beautiful, and the use of color is brilliant. I really enjoyed building all of the plants and will definitely be rearranging my display to make sure this set gets a prominent spot. I think it complements the flower shop from UNITY Street beautifully. I also love getting the recolored pieces. Finally getting a new color for the pin flowers is really exciting. I love the lime frog and brown ducks as well. Please keep these 12+ Friends sets coming!
If there was ever to be a perfect set, it’s this one. I was blown away by the initial images and the creative NPU on display throughout but I was also pleasantly surprised by how educational this set was. Such amazing detail and the build was wonderful. This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for from the Friends line and I can’t wait to see what’s next if they manage to top this one.
Just finished building this, my first Friends set, and oh my goodness what an absolute joy. There is so much to love about this set throughout the build. Loved the lily pond and the clever technique to submerge the koi carp and the frog, it looks stunning. The plants are created from ridiculous parts usage resulting in realistic looking plants, how did the designers come up with those? There are some gorgeous butterflies included in the set which is a pleasant touch. The architecture is beautiful and graceful and the trees have a lovely organic shape. It’s got to be one of the best sets of the year, certainly at this price. The current wave of Friends sets look really good, and I’ll probably be tempted to buy another!
I admit I’ve never had much interest in the friends theme before I came across this set. It’s so beautiful however I knew I had to get it. It was a fun, creative build with great parts usage and some interesting building techniques. The piece count was high and the price is fair for what you get. My only complaint is the doll figure and their lack of mobility. Besides that this set is wonderfully designed and makes a great addition to any collection or MOC.
