Lego Star Wars was a *huge* hit, so it's no big surprise that Lego Indiana Jones was next. It is just amazing how encompassing this game is. This is a very fun game but i am only giving it 4 stars because of the lack of originality. If you are a fan of the Star Wars Lego games then you will love this one like I do. Only problem like I said is its originality.... it seems like they took the Star Wars game and just swapped out the characters. You still have to collect the blue, gold and silver pieces and instead of Jedi you get master Adventurer if you collect a certain amount which i think they could have thought of something a little bit different to do to make it fresh. You collect gold chest items to make treasure statues like the Star Wars white barrel type pieces that build a complete vehicle at the end if you find them all. You collect gold chest items to make treasure statues like the Star Wars white barrel type pieces that build a complete vehicle at the end if you find them all. Also you need to unlock characters to go back and replay the levels to get to certain areas, like in Star Wars where you needed the young Anakin to go through the hatchways in this one you need the kid from Temple of Doom. There are a few improvements, I like how in this one you can pick up enemy's weapons and use them for a certain amount of time or ammo amount. Overall it's a great game because of how much I enjoyed the SW Lego game, and like SW its short unless you keep going back to replay the levels to find all the items and unlock the characters to achieve the 100% game completion status, so I wouldn't say it's a must have at the current release price, its actually about 1/2 the price if you opt for the PC version. Lastly, it even has a trailer for the Batman Lego game coming out in.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child and it is one of my favorite movies of all time. That being said I was looking forward to a trip down memory lane with this game and I was not disappointed.First of all let me say that this game is truly fun for all ages. While it may appear to be a kids game at first glance, it's actually a very fun game for grown ups as well. The game has the original Indiana Jones music as heard in the movies. A brilliant touch as it adds to the game tremendously. The lego versions of all Indy characters are well done and very cute. You will find virtually every character from all three Indy movies in this game and you can unlock them all as playable in "free play" mode.Another area where this game ... MoreRaiders of the Lost Ark was one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child and it is one of my favorite movies of all time. There are so many funny little moments and even some funny homages to Star Wars. The game designers have really done their homework and it shows. As far as the gameplay...it's what you would expect from a Lego title. Lots of cracking the whip and punching things. While it can get a bit repetitive at times I completely understand why the developers did this. By keeping it simple the game really becomes accessible to gamers of all skill levels....and, in my opinion, that's a smart move on their part. One of the best things about this game is the co-op mode. My wife never plays games with me on my PS3, ever. We recently saw the new Indy flick at the the.

I starting playing with Legos over 25 years ago. I only started playing Xbox 1 year ago! I played both LEGO Star Wars II: the Original Trilogy and LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga - both to 100%.These games are a lot of fun, and if you enjoyed playing Lego Star Wars you WILL enjoy playing LEGO Indiana Jones. I am not an Indiana Jones fan - I can't remember seeing a SINGLE I.J. movie. Each movie is broken into 6 sub-sections which after completing players can continue to the next section or return to Barnett College which serves as a playable "menu," allowing players to switch to a different movie, purchase characters or "extras" such as invincibility, etc. Purchases use ingame currency, called "Studs," represented by small, round lego blocks.LEGO Characters in the game use various skills to proceed through the levels - piles of legs must be assembled into vehicles doorways, or bridges. Characters can use shovels to dig up treasure chests or other blocks for a multitude of uses. Indiana Jones can use his trusty whip to grab unreachable items, or swing from platform to platform. The game is usually pretty clear about what needs to be done next - buried items "sparkle," platforms that Indy can swing from are highlighted, and even crawlspaces and hieroglyphic bo.
The LEGO world video game has come on strong thanks to the Star Wars games and now Indiana Jones (and soon Batman). You can join Indy on his modified adventures based on the original trilogy with the light-hearted humor and action to fulfill your missions. This one is just as innovative as the Star Wars games although some of the missions seem fairly short while others are enjoyably long. Unfortunately there are a lot of characters you will probably never play as. The cut scene mini-movies are fairly amusing but the 'mumbling speech' does get annoying, this game begs for a few voice over segments in the cut-scenes or better yet, when an achievement is reached they could have used the dialogue from the movie (I know, then you have to deal with royalties and ... MoreThe LEGO world video game has come on strong thanks to the Star Wars games and now Indiana Jones (and soon Batman). You can now swim, climb ladders, use trampolines, and ride motorcycles & cars. The game is heavy on hand to hand fighting. The guns YOU pickup have limited firing power (much better over neverending shots) but you will die alot trying to get close enough to disarm the enemies - the bazookas are quite formidable. There's a few glitches here and there but the adventures are fun to play through, although some a little too easy. Replayability may be limited unless you give a substantial break between defeating the game and your next journey thr.
Trying to top Lego Star Wars (LSW) is a tall order - and Lego Indiana Jones (LIJ) falls short. That's not to say LIJ is a bad game, it's just... not as good. And though this review is going to focus heavily on the negatives, please note the 5-star rating and realize I'm comparing and contrasting it to what I consider the best video game ever. The first problem with LIJ is that they tried to make the characters do too much. Yes, the carrying bits around added another dimension to the game, but it also made parts of the gameplay more difficult. Since the 'B' button is used for special ability and carrying, it's up to the computer to determine which you mean - and it's not always good at that. Since the 'B' button is used for special ability and carrying, it's up to the computer to determine which you mean - and it's not always good at that. You may be trying to attack someone with your sword in the middle of a fight, and suddenly you're getting pummeled while picking up a hat. That sort of thing. The hot spots were also occasionally tricky. And speaking of tricky! Too much jumping at very odd angles. I'm not even talking about the times when the camera swings about half-way through, some of the plain jumps are frustrating. And there are parts where the area you're jumping onto is not visible when you start the jump, making it as much luck as practice to get it right. LIJ would very much benefit from a character that can fly. I know, it's not in the storyline, but boy did I miss Boba Fett and even R2-D2. Bottom line: unless you're really, really good, expect to die a lot.One final annoyance: that 'sneaking against t.

I'm a big fan of Lego Star Wars, and also the Indiana Jones trilogy. So naturally, I loved this game. It's quite a bit shorter than Star Wars The Complete Saga for PS3, having three episodes instead of Star Wars' six (all episodes still have six levels apiece). The Good:There's the same cheeky humor that made Lego Star Wars so much fun. There's a slightly different feel to the gameplay with less shooting, more punching and throwing things at your enemy. Pistols & bazookas come with a limited amount of ammo, so choose your shots well! The other characters have their own different strengths to add to the missions (i.e higher jump, smaller character, shiny object breaker), but the also now have weaknesses as well. Indiana is scared of snakes, Willie is frightened by spiders--so you'll have to switch to another character to help get them past the scary areas.Instead of collecting mini-kits, you collect pieces of artifacts. If you collect all of them in the game, 3 extra levels are available to play. The Bad:When in single player, the game's Artificial Intelligence second player is alot more easily confused. I found myself moving ahead in the game, only to have to go back and get my AI character out of a stuck spot. They also follow too close, making it harder to back up in a tight spot.S.
