I love this game! I think they did a great job making entertaining challenges but also following the events in the film. Also, a lot of the cut scenes are entertaining. My mom has always been a Lord of the Rings fan and even she enjoyed this game!

If you wish to relive your favorite moments from JRR Tolkien's acclaimed series through the lens of the hit trilogy by Peter Jackson and Lego then this is a must have. Endless fun with each film and additional bonus quest truly makes this game a must have and necessary addition to your gaming collection.

This was my first purchase from DKOldies and I have to say Customer Service was outstanding. I actually felt like I was having a normal conversation via email. Now for the game itself. By far the cleanest looking disc, manual, and case I’ve ever seen from a pre owned game store. I’m happy to see all the hard work the employees put in to make sure everything is working over on their TikTok.Overall enjoyed my experience with DKOldies. I will shopping with them for all my pre owned games from my childhood.

The game is very fun to play, but we've had numerous experiences where the game unexpectedly freezes up and makes a terribly loud screeching noise. It also messes up and won't let you do things that you need to do in order to complete a level. You can go out, and then back in and it lets you. Just glitchy. The only fix is to power the Wii unit off manually, let it set, and start over which causes you to lose your progress. It's not our unit either, it's this LEGO game. We have the Star Wars LEGO game and it's never done this. The good news is that once we got 100% of the game completed, we never had another freeze up. We can play without issue now, except on the rare occasion it won't let us do something to complete a level. Strange, but overall we love the game and ... MoreThe game is very fun to play, but we've had numerous experiences where the game unexpectedly freezes up and makes a terribly loud screeching noise. My order came relatively quickly, and in perfect condition. My only complaint would be that the order sat in Pennsylvania for a while, but that is the UPS’s fault. The game is really fun, and I’ve already finished the main story. I was really excited to see that this was available, seeing as it was the only LEGO game I don’t have.
This game is fantastic. In keeping with the LEGO-ization spirit, it is fun and fanciful, yet it definitely adheres to the source material. While visually (and in some cases, plot-wise) it borrows more from the films, there are some inclusions for the book lovers as well, including a "cameo" of sorts by Tom B, as well as a few references to the Hobbit. With side quests and hidden items and characters, this will keep you entertained for hours. :) **Note: this game ONLY covers Fellowship-Return of the King. If it is in the movies, it is probably here; if it did not make those films, I wouldn't count on them appearing.
After having played the DS and 3DS version of this game I give the 3DS version 5 stars this game is really incredible especially when you turn the 3D slider on it really does bring the graphics of the characters, scenery they all look really awesome. On my 3DS XL I keep mine relatively low since looking things in 3D can really mess with my vision. So I usually keep my 3DS games in 3D mode for a short period of time then I turn it off. While I notice that when compared to the DS version the games are really no different, at least from what I notice. Though I do like the camera view better on the 3DS version because the angle adjustment is better when say your Legolas and trying to shoot something whether it's a target or an antagonist character etc it is a lot better. ... MoreAfter having played the DS and 3DS version of this game I give the 3DS version 5 stars this game is really incredible especially when you turn the 3D slider on it really does bring the graphics of the characters, scenery they all look really awesome. Though I do like the camera view better on the 3DS version because the angle adjustment is better when say your Legolas and trying to shoot something whether it's a target or an antagonist character etc it is a lot better. As far as the game goes when the 3D is on it looks spectacular. Graphically this game is sharper and better to look at, not as many pixels in the 3DS version in comparison to the DS version where there is a majority of pixelation. So in terms of pixels the 3DS is truly a successor to the DS version. It also looks awesome in its 2D format when the 3D is off its still sharp. I do notice however if I don't have the 3D on the image looks brighter even if I have the brightness on its dimmest setting and power saving mode off and I still notice it when I have power saving mode on which makes about 95% difference but I still notice it a bit. But I imagine thats the case with all 3DS games and if you have power saving mode on or off, the 3DS slider on or off etc. I am not positive I am still learning the 3DS as I go. The Sounds and the music are beautiful whether you have headphones or earphones plugged into the system. I use iLuv headphones and it does really sound better when I have the headphones plugged in. Story telling was great in this game I don't have too much to say hear, accept I love how humorous and kid friendly LEGO really does make with its LEGO games. Especially movie trilogy/series based games. Overall I think this game is awesome and I just want to congratulate LEGO Inc., Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Travelers Tales Games, The Saul Zaentz Company/Middle-Earth Enterprises and New Line Cinema and Nintendo for Licensing the game. Great job everyone who worked to make this game a success deserves a pat on the back. This game is incredible! I can't wait to play the Wii version!
Another winner from the Lego team. These are just great family friendly games, suitable for single or dual play, fantastic gameplay and all the characters you can think of from the films. Multiple levels and hidden special bricks guarantees hours of fun.
This is a really good game its a lot like playing other Lego games like Lego Star Wars. While I enjoy this game from start to finish I notice there are some problems for example I notice when I go to the map and see a white brick I have not collected I click on it hit "Set Destination" then as I am traveling to my destination of the said white brick for some reason after a minute or two the path will change. Is that some kind of glitch developers forgot to go back and fix? A little odd, I have also had this game freeze and I've had to turn my Wii U off and restart my Wii U again. Unusual? No, it's happened when I played LEGO The Hobbit. So I guess my only question to Warner Bros is why didn't they come out with a Wii U version of this game?I can see this working way ... MoreThis is a really good game its a lot like playing other Lego games like Lego Star Wars. Now that that is out of the way, This game despite some of the minor setbacks is awesome and really stunning and breathtaking. I love seeing Lord of the Rings in the humorous and fun kid world of LEGO's its awesome. So I still give this 5 out of 5 stars you overlook the setbacks and really those are minor, this game is Awesome, I highly recommend it!
This is one of the best Lego Xbox 360 titles I've played since my family has owned an Xbox 360(besides the other Lego titles I've played). Especially if you have the original version or/edition of the game, not the platinum hits version of the game. That's just me though. I'm a bit of a collector of the original versions or editions of things. But if you like the Platinum Hits edition of the game or games its OK, no worries. Anyway, the Icon or button picture that you see and press to start playing on the Xbox 360 Game, is Awesome and nostalgic to The Lord of the Rings/Tolkien and Lego franchises alike! Doom to destroy the one ring in spectacular 1080p HD Graphics in comical Lego form. Further more, if youre a Big fan of Lego, and a Big fan of The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien franchises, this game is for you.
