A Great Lego Set

This lego set is very intricate but easy to build.The Characters:Thor: Thor has a very detailed head and torso, but plain navy blue pants. He has a double-sided head and, as always, his hammer, Mjolnir. However, the cape has a different type of thread used, so it moves like a real cape instead of being all stiff and locked in one position, which I appreciate.Hawkeye: Hawkeye has a detailed torso and pants. His reversible head has a side with and a side without his glasses. The only thing I don't like is that the bow is not an accurate shape, but it looks fine.Hydra Agent: The Hydra Agent has a very detailed torso, but plain white legs with a grey crosspiece. He has no weapon.Vehicles:The Avengers' 4x4 is very similar to some Lego City cars, but has a missile launcher mounted on the top. There are a few aspects that I think could have been elaborated. First, the roof of the car is nonexistent, except for the missile launcher, which covers the back of the car. Second, it does not have doors. Third, The area beneath the missile launcher is bare. I noticed that because the missile launcher is only supported by the rim of the back windshield and two lego studs, it can be easily removed and used as a storage area or a containment cell for the Hydra Agent if he is captured, but otherwise the area is an eyesore. Other that that, the vehicle is an amazing build, containing a license plate, rear view mirrors, headlights, seats in the car, a piece that looks like it could be used for a trailer hitch, and a sticker avengers logo on the hood. Note that two minifigures will not fit in the front area together.Hydra Offroader: The Hydra Offroader is detailed with a flashlight on the side, a detailed seat, headlights, exposed engine, and sticker Hydra logo. I found this well-made and detailed, except for one thing. The mounted stud shooter is designed to be knocked off by a successful hit by Thor on the Super Jumper. However, it falls off easily when turning the offroader. This can be easily fixed by replacing the red 4-pronged star peg with a blue connector that is half 4-pronged star and half cylinder connector. However, that piece is not included in this set.Super Jumper: The Super Jumper has a neat catapult function, but takes some practice to be accurate. Also, it can be difficult to take minifigures off after using.

A SUV and a Go-Cart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got this set last night and boy was it great! The price for piece count is amazing!Well first we should start with the Minifigures. Hawkeye: He has a great torso that really looks like his movie version and the detail continues down onto his legs, his uniform has a few wrinkles and folds in it so it really looks lifelike. The tossled-ness continues with this great spiky that was also used with Nightwing who is another great figure. This is great step up from the 2012 Avengers minifigure: 10/10 Hydra Henchman: He has a nice combat suit underneath his Chitari armour and you can see some little bits of camo decoration on the sides, the armour looks exactly like the chitari soldier's from the Quinjet and you can see exactly which pieces were taken from the ... MoreI just got this set last night and boy was it great! The Henchman also comes in The Hydra Fortress Smash: 8/10 Last and certainly least, The Not-so-mighty Thor: When I got Thor, I felt so let down, he was almost exactly the same minifigure! It looks like the only thing LEGO did was add more armour to the Avengers movie version. Again ,LEGO missed a chance to do some epic leg printing! Though the new cape does bring back some of his value as it isn't one of those papery ones: 6.5/10Now onto the build.The SUV!!!!: I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A SUV FOR SO LONG, I missed my chance with I think the 2010 City one and I have been craving one ever since. Many have complained about the openness of the SUV but I think it adds to the action.It is really hard to bend mini figures out the sides of cars without opening the side door and by eliminating them it makes it so much more playable. The build is quite simple with a few WOW moments, like when I saw how they used the terrace piece to hold the four clear studs. The back of the SUV is great storage and I could store most of the Avengers' weapons back there or an lying down minifigure: 10/10 The Hydra Go-Cart: This is a very simple build with some very simple good-looking techniques. It has side building on the side of the Go-Cart(Actually you know it's more of a dune buggy but the set scene takes place on a snowy mountain so i'm calling it a Go-Cart) and a very nice head rest for the driver. The canopy rails continue onto the back with a male function element. The design of the main Go-Cart is similar to that of the Go-Cart from the helicopter transporter from 2014. The canon consists of a stud shooter brick and some nice trans-blue elements. The headlights make good use of a small black lightsaber blade which I am happy there is a extra of. The feature that holds in place the loose cannon(ha-ha) also holds in the canopy rails so you must let the cannon stay loose as you open the canopy to insert you minifigure, nothing major just an observation. If you feel that you don't like the loose cannon feature then you can substitute your red pin for a blue one instead: 9/10The playability is one of the best in a while for a $20 set. Again the price per piece is simply fantastic. I hope this review helps and happy building.

Hello there and welcome to the second review in my Lego Age Of Ultron review series! I got this set a few weeks ago and I am really pleased. The main build the avengers car, is really nice. It's kind of like an off-roader but it has a missile launcher on top. The only con is that there is no place to store Hawkeye's bow except for on the side and it's pretty easy to knock it off during play. Solution? Take off the turret and store the bow in the space in the back. 4/5 stars. The other build, the Hydra go kart is kind of awkward seriously why would Hydra have a go kart with a little gun on top? 3/5 stars. the figs are nice all of the figs are in other sets: Thor (the avengers tower set), Hawkeye (the helicarrier) and the hydra soldier (the Hydra fortress set.). Avengers Hydra Showdown 76030

Anyways this set came out better than i expected, i really recommend this set to anyone a fan of the movies.

Awesome SUV

When the new age of ultron moive came out I had to see it, the opening secne was so inspiring and I really wanted to find a set based on the secne, and sure enough first thing second pg Avengers Hydra Showdown.The avengers SUV is amazing but I find it hard to sitdown two figures. The back is good for weapon storage or figure storage and to top it off they added awesome flick fire missiles. The hydra doom buggey is fin for it's size but the good/avengers out weighs the bad/hydra alittle too much. I wish they could have added one or two more hydra trops. The avengers SUV and the figures are great, over all this set is mostly pros other than afew cons.

Awesome set

The Hydra soldier should have come with a weapon.Overall it is definitely worth buying.

This set was really good! it's a cheaper way of getting thor and hawkeye, and the vehicles are really cool. I think the minifigures good use some changes though. Hawkeye has goggles printed on AGAIN, despite never wearing goggles, plus, his costume should be purple, not red. Thor is a good minifigure and looks better then The Avengers version, but they used a bad hairpiece and the wrong color. They should've used like, Qui-Gon's hair recolored or something. Great vehicles!

This set is a great buy for people who are new to Lego Marvel. The set comes with one Avengers vehicle and one Hydra vehicle, so the sides are evenly matched. The set also includes Hawkeye and Thor, and a Hydra soldier for them to fight against. Hawkeye's minifigure looks so much better than the one for the first Avengers movie. Thor is great, although his hair should probably be light brown like his beard. The Hydra is also really great, but I think he should have a gun with him. I love the raising hatch on the front as well as the top cannon that can come loose if Thor breaks it with his hammer. One thing I will warn you not to use is the super jumper. It is almost impossible to get minifigures off of it. I tried it once and almost broke my Thor minifigure trying to get him off. The super jumper doesn't even work that well! So I'm just warning you, NEVER use the super jumper.Overall, this set is great. There are just a few minor adjustments that would make it perfect. I would greatly recommend this set to any Lego Marvel fan and especially to those who are looking for a set to start their Lego Marvel collection.

Really happy with purchase!

I love the Marvel theme but don't normally buy much from the theme. However, this set caught my eye as I really loved the vehicles included in this set.Once I had built the set, I played with it not only with my Marvel themed stuff but my all my other LEGO. I also really love the design of the cars, they look realistic and stylish!You additionally receive 3 minifigures in this set: Thor, Hawkeye and a person who works for Hydra. The printing on these minifigures is extremely detailed and I really love the minifigures. The minifigures included are also quite rare so good to buy!Overall, I love love love this set!!
