What a blast! The humor makes the game even more fun to play! I am well over the age of most gamers. I find many of the nonviolent games boring and the more sophisticated games difficult to play. The Lego games are the right mix of fun, challenge, imagination. Each each new Lego game released is better the last. The free play areas is extensive, completing the storyline consumes less than 25% of the game. It's a great way to relax and take your mind off of the real world.

This game is spectacular and includes tons of cut scenes which is great for reliving some of your favorite moments.The worlds are beautifully constructed and the missions follow closely to the movie plot. Even most the character voices are performed by the same actors which almost make this game an extension of the movie. Being able to play all of the characters (once you unlock them) is one of the best parts about it. Princess Unikitty's special ability to turn into giant Angry Kitty is hilariously fun.True, this game is shorter and less expansive than Lego City Undercover but the content and replay value make up for it. I like how only the girls jump high. You get to be different characters from the movie and you solve puzzles as them, find things, and break things to earn coins (usually) so you can buy stuff. There's a cool feature that says you have to find pants to change into in each episode. I would like to play it for hours and hours but then my mind would be like mush with electronics, so I am only allowed to play it for half an hour or an hour at a time."She likes it, which makes her happy, and that makes me happy. Highly recommended.

Got this for the kids (ages 4-10) and Wii U for Xmas. This is the game they would play all the time if you let them. Just wish it had the ability to support 4 players as I listen to a fair amount of bickering because of them having to share. Oh well, learning to share is good thing.Why I really like this game is due to my oldest taking up an interest in all things Lego so now he has something in common with his other siblings(he has ASD and tends to be a loner). It has been an incredible boost to his creativity levels. He can play it just as well as the rest of them now.The game does freeze and require restarting from time to time, but I've found to make sure the disc is extra clean and it will eliminate a lot of the issue.

The game is easy to play and provides instructions early on to help get an understanding of how to work the characters. My children have gotten hours of fun out of this purchase. You work your way through multiple levels that follow the actual story line of the movie. It’s great how you collect characters throughout the game to help aid in the progression towards the end of the game. My children ages 8 and 10 were able to complete this game without any assistance from me. After the story line of the game is finished there are several other objectives that need to be completed. This game at 10$ is a buy for sure. I played 4 Lego game on the DS and this is my second best one. Batman 2 is my favorite, followed by this one, pretty close. Far behind Batman 3 and very far behind LOR.This one is great because it easy to understand what you need to do. It is also easy to understand what to do with Red Brick -- this is not the case with Batman 3 which I never found a way to buy those Red Brick.The story follow to movie, this is great. We love the LEGO video games here, and The LEGO Movie game was one we couldn't wait to add to our collection! For the most part, we have enjoyed playing it. We just got a Wii U this past Christmas, and this was one of the first games we purchased. Our son loves that he gets to "go into the world" of one of his favorite movies. It is cool to explore the different areas of the movie, and help in the mission to defeat Lord Business. The only complaint we have is that the movie seems to have a lot of glitches and/or freezes a lot. This game is really fun, and we completed it pretty quickly, but you can free play after you have completed all of the levels, which is really all that our son wants to do anyway, so it is perfect for him. I am not as into the free play mode, so I usually don't play it anymore now that we finished. I guess I will just have to get a new Lego video game to continue the fun!

My boys love the lego movie so when they found out that there was a lego movie video game they had to have it. Normally I find that video games based off of movies are of poor quality and are only produced to capitalize off of the movie. I am not 100% sure that this game is any different, as I personally have not played it too much( as I get older I don't really like video games as much). based on how much my kids like this game I would say that it is actually a quality video game. My kids played this game every day for about a month. I think they beat the game after about two weeks but liked it so much that they kept playing it daily for a few more weeks. The game also has the music from the movie which they absolutely love. Yeah played this with my grandsons. We had a great time. The game had good graphics. Controllers were easy to use. We really made some good memories having family time. I recommend it definitely. Even at my age it was easy.
