This set is very nice. I really appreciate Possessed Lloyd. The minifigures are very nice, and how this set includes the Fire and the Lightning Aeroblade which really stimulates my collection. What I like: The dragon can sort of hold a minifigure in its jaws. It looks very fearsome, which complements the ghostly look. It has horns, very nice haunting horns and it wields very stable legs (if you know how to put them)Complaints: Cowler and Yokai's swords in their holders fall out very easily. I wish these are more stable to hold.

When purchasing this set, I was a tad skeptical. 70734 Master Wu Dragon had almost as many pieces and one less minifigure, and was a whopping thirty dollars less. I questioned the decision I had made to buy the Morro Dragon earlier. Nonetheless, I went on with the purchase--and I was not disappointed. With stunning minifigures, an entertaining build, and interesting new pieces, 70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon does not disappoint. Wraith is my favorite minifigure in the set, with his spooky mummy-like printing and best of all, new tail piece in place of legs. The coloring on this ghostly tail was well done, and it looks properly wispy and otherworldly. The evil Green Ninja is nice too. The use of different plastics in his armor piece is very nice, and has a good quality to it. I personally really like the design of his staff, as its very different from things we have seen in the past. His ninja hood/cowl is also a nice change from the usual hoods from previous sets. Cowler and Yokai are pretty standard fair, probably the most special thing about them being their transparent legs and heads. Yokai's cowl is also very cool, with an explosion of transparent green color at the back. Overall, stellar minifigs, with some great elements. They are surely welcome to my collection! The Build: The build of this set is a bit repetitive, but overall very fun. The spring green elements that cover the Morro Dragon are very cool, as I had very little pieces of the color before buying this set. There are a fair amount of stickers in this set, but I think many of them are necessary (in order for the Morro Dragon to look its best). Probably my least favorite part about building this set was how the minifigures were scattered around the bags; I really preferred it when LEGO used to group all of its minifigs in one bag, so you could build them all at once. The Completed Model: The Morro Dragon, once completed, is absolutely huge! It is much larger than what I expected it to be. The head of the beast is absolutely amazing (much better than the rubber heads LEGO used to use). I love the look of it, especially all of the barbs peppered around the jaw. My only gripe is that the head can't be moved left and right, only up and down (and rotated). Perhaps it would have been better to use a ball joint there instead. The body of the dragon overall had nice curves to it, and really looks like it could be winding through the air. I was very skeptical of the wings of the Morro Dragon, as on the box the papery wings looked a little "cheap". But now having it in person, the wings feel very high quality and tear proof. On mine though, they did fold a bit in the box, and as a result the wingtips are held in a (presumably) permanent curve. This doesn't bother me particularly though, as the little curves make the wings look feathery and organic, "real" if you will. The tail, legs, feet, and toes of the Morro Dragon can be posed in all kinds of directions, and really allow for some awesome action poses. Overall, an amazing part of the set, and probably one of my favorite Ninjago dragons thus far!The Temple is good in my opinion, but nothing special. I appreciate the "brick" pieces used on the walls are nice, and I like the little pylon-type-things on the top of the temple. I also really like the realm crystal in the glass case--its good to get something so important in the Ninjago show in a set! A part of the temple that seriously detracts from it for me is that the red hinge pieces used to connect the doorway and two walls are extremely loose, and make it difficult for the walls to stay in a position. Nonetheless, I still really like the inclusion of the temple, as not only does it include some nice parts, but it also creates a good place to stage a battle between the ninja and the Morro Dragon. Included in the set are also two "ninja boards" which I think are pretty good. They too have some useful pieces, but also allow for the ninja to chase the dragon (or vice versa)! Conclusion: While I would have like for it to include maybe some more parts or an extra minifigures, Attack of the Morro Dragon is a pretty amazing set. With good parts, amazing minifigs, and a solid build, I can't help but recommend it to any fan of the Ninjago line!

This set is one of the best ninjago sets in history! The set is actually very large and Evil Green Ninja looks small on the dragon or (especially) beside it. I love the use of all the spring green pieces-they are put to the best use on the sides of the dragon which make it look like it's twisting and turning through the air. My only problem with the dragon was that the wings didn't have as much articulation because the ball joint socket and the ratcheted joint socket (for the legs) were right on top of each other. I also wished that there were glow in the dark pieces on the dragon but there are some glow in the dark cones on Cowler and Yokai's weapons and some glow in the dark studs on the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb. my grandson loved it! His only dislike he has about all Lego set is the greater weapon is always belongs to either good side or bad side. Not equal weapon strength so that skill of the battle prevails. This is do to Lego's design. As one matures, skill is the challenge.Impressive set, valued, quality.
The temple is nicely designed, but let's be honest--everyone gets this set for the dragon. And what a dragon! We collect Lego dragons, and this is the best we've built. Unlike some of the dragons, this is one solid beast. Everything is built of multiple layers, so it stays together--this one will not fall apart when you play with it. And the design is awesome; a lot of thought went into making it look good. Definitely my favorite Lego dragon, and one of my favorite Lego sets, period.
I bought this for my 7 year old a month ago for his birthday and he got great enjoyment out of building it over a few days . It was challenging but not too challenging. He managed to complete about 95% himself and I'd say most LEGO loving 7 year olds would be similar. He loved the ninjago characters involved too - part of a good ghostly story line from the cartoon. A hit...
The dragon itself looks amazing! and I like how many minifigures were included. The price per piece was a bit too much, but I think it was worth it in the end. Building the set was a blast (especially bag 3) but the wings were a little difficult to attach. If you get lego sets to display this is a must buy but if you buy them to play with, it wouldn't be the best set for you due to the lack of play features on the dragon.
In recent years, Ninjago has sort of gone downhill in my opinion. Ever since rebooted I feel as though the sets have been weaker than the first two seasons. However, this season has a awesome wave of sets that blows my mind. The dragon in this set is huge, and looks really cool for display and is fun too play with. The new ninja uniforms look really good, the contrast between the black armor and suit and the ninja's elemental color looks really cool, and, in my opinion, is the best suit so far and way better than the last 2 suits. The evil green ninja is awesome and has some really cool new molds. Even the enemy ghost minions are really cool, with semi-transparent legs and heads. Well, besides Wrath who has a really cool new leg-piece that really gives a ghost effect. This is also the only set that has more than one aeroblade. Overall this is a amazing set and a step up for ninjago,
This is a very cool set. It's a lot bigger than it looks and takes up a lot of space. The shrine part is very detailed but somewhat loose when assembled. The dragon is extremely detailed and has a lot of moveable parts. I like the details on the head and the shape of the body. It comes with six minifigures and two Skreemers. The ninja are cool, but the sword holders on the shoulder pads are difficult to put a sword into. The hover boards are nice vehicles for the ninja. The ghost minifigures are cool and I really like the new leg piece and green blade attached to the chain. On both ghosts with swords the sword holders are very loose and the sword on the right side falls out very easily. Once again, this is a very nice set.
This set is absolutely fantastic, and to me it was the best Ninjago dragon set LEGO has ever made. Not to say the other dragons were bad, but this one is grabs your attention easily. You'll notice the color scheme, the sand green color is vivid and I haven't seen it on any LEGO set I've lived to see. The wings have a very nice texture and looks great on the set itself. The head is even better, its brick built and has a lot of depth into it, it's what gives the dragon its fierce look aside from its other physical features. Its body reminds me of a Chinese dragon with its serpent shape as if it were waving through the air. It has a ghoulish looking saddle on the top for the Evil Green Ninja to control the dragon. The temple is nice too play wise, it was a pretty simple build but it looks great with the glow in the dark studs to act as a lamp post. It includes a Realm Crystal and some weapons to play out a scene from the show series. The jet boards have high play potential, they are extremely easy to build and you can use them to help the ninja Kai and Jay take on the Morro Dragon and the Evil Green Ninja. The minifigures are amazing , my favorite amongst them is of course, the Evil Green Ninja. He has a very nice hood and cloak that exerts a melting type look, and the print is great on the front and back. Next up is Wrayth, this set and the City of Stiix are the only sets that include Wrayth with the ghost leg variants. Ghost warriors Yokai and Cowler are both awesome too, Yokai has a great hood piece, on the back of the hood it looks like his ghost aura is leaking out. Cowler is a great looking minifigure too, he has a different torso print than Yokai and a different hat, but you can safely say they look relatively the same without their hat and face accessories. Both warrior's wield weapons that contain glow in the dark snow cone pieces. Last but not least are the two hero ninjas Kai and Jay, they too look similar but are separated by their secondary color and slightly different torso pieces. Overall I was very satisfied and pleased with the end product, the dragon itself was absolutely astonishing. The temple and jet boards put the icing on the cake, and the minifigures put the cherry on top. This set was a blast to build and still is a blast to play with and quite frankly , it was worth every penny.
