My grandson will be 6 the 28th so he hasn't opened it yet but we already know he'll love it. I just hope grandpa has as much fun putting it together with him LOL.

This lego set is great. My 6 year old son loved it and built Jay's storm fighter immediately after receiving it. He loved the fact that the final model is somewhat interactive, with folding wings and some Ninja swords beneath them. Only downside was that one of the wings' base came as a wrong part, but from Lego support I am informed that correct part is on its way.

This review if written for my 7 year old son. He likes how the wings open up, and how the staff connects to the wall. Overall, a great lego - as usual!
I got this toy for my son who enjoys lego products. He really enjoyed it tremendously. The only down side to the product was the original rubber band that comes in the box. My son was not happy with the rubber band that came with the original kit. When he popped open the wings, they would not open fully. However he did manage to fix the problem by replacing the rubber band with a better one. Once installed, the wings worked perfectly.
My son got this Lego set as a birthday present, and it was well worth the build. It looks really cool when its put together, and the wings open up into a "fighter mode". The only problem we had was that the wings are pressure-clipped when they're closed, which makes it hard to open them for young kids. Make sure to have an adult inspect the craft after its done to make sure all of the Lego's are together solidly, and then you don't have to worry about your kid using some force to open the wings and having it fall apart.
My 6 year old put the smaller pieces together. Had to help him put the fighter jet together but pretty easy and doesn't take long.
