I would say that this is one of my favorite builds that I have. Combining the two models together is my favorite part because it makes it look like an armored tank.

First time I bought a LEGO set in a long time and I’m glad it was this one, the amount of pieces and play features are amazing, but I was bummed that no techno blade came like in the older version.

I received this set for my birthday and was amazed by the improvements to the set as the original was one of my first sets. The Thunder raider and cole's mech are amazing builds that could crush the originals and the minifig selection is pretty great. Jay and Cole, the exclusive minifigures, are amazing remakes of their season 4 suits. Lloyd, the Overlord and the Nindroid are also amazing minifigures. Overall, this set is the strongest of the Ninjago Legacy wave 2 sets.
God way better than the original one. like the minifigures. wish it had a technoblade
I initially bought another set for my son as a surprise, but he really wanted this one. So we returned the first one, and ordered Legacy Thunder Raider 71699 Ninja. He is very happy with his choice. Delivery was prompt. It was fun to see him put it together.
I got the original version of these and loved them (I broke them up a couple of years ago to build the tumbler and an a-wing). When I saw this set I got it for my son as he is a big ninjago fan and has been playing with this set for the last two months and it has great minifigures The shooters are great and the mech has great articulations get this if you are getting into ninjago or need a few small cool models
This set, which is part of the LEGO NINJAGO Legacy series, is one of the best sets I have seen LEGO come out with. Although the ninja’s outfits reflect Season 4: The Tournament of Elements of the LEGO Ninjago TV series, the vehicles originate from Season 3: Rebooted. Featuring five minifigures, including the exclusive characters Legacy Tournament Jay and Legacy Tournament Cole, it is good for expanding one’s minifigure collection. The Thunder Raider itself is a great tank, complete with opening cockpit, fold-down flaps with missiles attached, and 16-count treads. The Earth Mech is also amazing, with missile-shooting arms, jointed legs, a minifigure harness, and the unique ability to latch on to the rear of the Thunder Raider for fast traveling. It’s an amazing deal for it’s price. It is definitely an upgrade from the original version. I got it and loved the structure of the builds. The mini figure selection was great, but I would question why Lloyd was in the set, since Lloyd was never there in the episodes. Other than that, it was great!
I really enjoy this cool set it is cool because they can connect together and the mech can shoot and a lot of other details and jay's vehicle is cool because it can move around and stuff and it could drive on hard ground because it has grip pieces.
