You then stick the flowers on and toss in some brown pieces for bark (with a couple pieces meant to be potting moss maybe?) to complete the set.All finished, the LEGO orchid is gorgeous and very elegant, looking fairly realistic. It grabs your attention and is quite tall, allowing you to manipulate the leaves and flowers to make it more personalized or change it up. I took it into my office and on the first day, already received some compliments and comments about it. It would make a great gift and was enjoyable to build. Due to its size and beauty, it's a great value for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.

This set not only looks awesome, it is very unique and a great conversation piece. Considering the size of the set, and number of lego pieces, it is extremely reasonably priced.The only thing to know about Best Buy is that they ship legos in their original box and it normally destroys the box. If you are a collector, use the in-store pickup option. And be aware they WILL put stickers on the box. Still, I think the ugly stickers are less of a detractor to the original LEGO packaging than a totally crushed and ruined box.
I bought the orchid first and then the bonsai. I can't keep a real orchid alive I've had several so I'm super happy for this one. It was an easy build and I'm very happy with the outcome. All my friends are amazed and getting some too! I dont know how anyone could complain about it. The build was easy the instructions were simple and it's beautiful. That's why I bought the bonsai and plan to get the wildflower bouquet next. Very Good job Lego!!
This was my first Lego set-it was from my son and daughter in law. I raise and sell (as my job) orchids, so I was anxious to see how it turned out. Overall, it was ok. Had problems keeping the leaves on, there were no directions on how to put the "bark" in the pot so I don't know what to do with those pieces. I don't think throwing them loose in the pot is a solution; it doesn't look right. I had fun putting it together as I like challenges. The only thing is, and mind you I know this as fact-the blooms are phalenopsis blooms, but the stems look like dendrobium stems. I know...picky but true...but I had fun!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. My 16 year old daughter built this set and she says it's a little bit of a challenge. I like that it includes a lot of "unique" Lego bricks that you don't usually see in other sets. Our entire family loves Lego and I'm pleased to see they are introducing more sets that aren't geared towards children. This orchid will be a lovely display in our living room, and it fits in better than all of the other Lego sets that we have owned and displayed in the past. I could see this set being a fun gift for somebody as a decor piece for them to build and display. This set proves you are never too old for Lego!
My Mawmaw is now 72 years old and sickly. She has recently moved in with my moms sister so she can be better taken care of which has been very hard on me since my Mawmaw raised me. Growing up, we would always garden outside. When I was 15, she had to stop gardening due to her arthritis and age. For this Christmas, I was at a loss on what to get her, but I seen this “forever orchid” (what I thought of) when I was picking up a different Christmas gift for someone else. Something in my spirit said - get this for Mawmaw. Over the Christmas break, I built it on her bed while she watched and we were able to talk and talk forever while I built it. It was a magical experience, and I know it will be a cherished memory forever- just like this orchid that will outlive us all.

I am amazed at how beautiful and realistic it looks assembled for it being all Legos. I would proudly display this anywhere in my home. I don't own many Legos, so this did take me probably longer than most to put together but we had a blast doing it. There are a lot of smaller pieces which proved more difficult, but a fun difficult. I highly recommend this for a fun activity. It is absolutely beautiful!
