As a lego fan and Formula 1 fan, this is a beautiful kit. It captures the essence of F1 with the clean team suits and technology in the pits. I took my time on the build in order to prolong the fun. It could easily be done in a night. The noses come off the cars for a realistic play experience.

Easy for an experienced lego builder , im only 13 and really enjoyed building this. You should create more lego based on the speed champions models as they are great to build, play with and also to display. A Grandstand and some fans with flags would be great to add to this display. Look forward to seeing what comes next.

Great Details For Lego or F1 Fans
16 March 2017

This was an enjoyable build with lots of great little details. I really dig the red & white curbing. Other great details are the team uniforms, all the displays, and even the hot dog vendor. Calling it "Roscoe's Dogs" is a great Easter egg for Lewis fans. I'm Mercedes Petronas fan so I love that it's not a generic race car set or even a team set with cars. It specifically calls out Nico's #6 and Lewis's #44 cars. And they look great! That's where my one real disappointment is with this set. They went through the trouble of getting all the branding, even the sponsors, the team apparel, and even driver specific cars, but not the drivers. Both driver minifigures have yellow heads. If they can do it for Finn they can do it for Lweis. That said it is a fun set to build with lots of playability. I recommend this set to any Lego or F1 fan out there.

Great set for all
27 June 2017

I am a huge Lewis Hamilton and Lego fan so I was always destined to buy this set. When I first saw this though I thought... NOOOOO they've fluffed the colouring! The first thing id say is yes its not perfect colour match, however once built it really isn't such a noticeable thing as I thought it would be! In fact, its not an issue for me at all. The cars are much bigger than I thought they would be. The garage set up is cool and makes for a great play set. All the curbs and corners are a cool feature and inspire me to make a full race track maybe even including some Ferrari's. It would be amazing to see some Red Bulls and Williams cars too! Another great set well worth its money, especially considering the official licensing they will need to shell out for.

Great set, Wrong Lewis Hamilton

I Love F1 and this is a great set, love the fact it has both cars #6 & #44But Please lego, why oh why oh why does the minifigure that represents Lewis have a yellow head?Surely its not that difficult to get right?Apart from the glaringly obvious mistake its a great set!Fix the head issue though please!

Missing Parts
14 January 2018

We bought this for our grandson who came to visit from out of province, who absolutely loves Lego! However, when he started working on it, it had one piece missing. so off we march to the store! We get home and shortly there is another piece missing. This time off to Toys R Us. We purchased a whole new Lego set and they said we could just take the pieces we needed and return the rest. That is what we did. We found out there was a whole bag of parts missing. Never had that happen before. In the end we had a happy grandson!

More fun than a barrel of monkey wrenches
25 August 2019

Lots of fun to recreate F1 pit stops, paddock activity and great rivalry action between Nico and Lewis while Toto helplessly watches from the pit wall. Helped my 5 yr old build for his birthday and he has not stopped playing with it for last 2 weeks. He is now intergrading other city mini figures and vehicles as support to his “story”. Even my wife who is not a fan of the build models compared to the imagination boxes, is impressed by the details of the camera crew, pit garage and wall, as well as, the podium. Great find if you can get one.

Very good but not great
11 April 2017

First of all, it's fantastic to again see Lego pursue a partnership with a Formula 1 team to create a licensed play set via their Speed Champions range. This time, creators have done a fairly good job in recreating a set that is not only displayable for AFOLs but extremely playable for younger F1 Lego fans.As a playset, it is well designed; predominantly sturdy build of the cars, team garage and podium, all of which are very interactive and playable. As a display set, it is still quite appealing. Allianz, UBS and Mercedes stickers all add superb detail that enhance the overall realism of the set.My main disappointment with the set was the inability of Lego to not accurately match the famous teal colour that is synonymous with Mercedes. Allianz, UBS and Mercedes stickers all add superb detail that enhance the overall realism of the set.My main disappointment with the set was the inability of Lego to not accurately match the famous teal colour that is synonymous with Mercedes. The green bricks used leave a lot to be desired and really take away from the look of the overall set. Whilst I understand the cost associated with Lego producing new coloured bricks just for this set, I think it was warranted given the popularity of Speed Champions, the price point and the fact that they've gone to trouble to get the set officially licensed. My other main disappointment was having to purchase this set overseas and have it delivered to Australia. Restraining purchase ability to certain countries is extremely unfair and I would much prefer to purchase sets from my local independent Lego stockist, but not 9 months after other parts of the world have received stock! You need to address this Lego!Overall, a pretty good job Lego. Further refining a few smaller details would have made this a 5/5 set, however, still very happy with this purchase. Maybe you could look at a Red Bill themed set next year? ;)(Big Dan Ricciardo fan haha)

probably the most lackluster Speed Champions
6 January 2019

75883 is the worst SC set of them all. Two nondescript F1 cars and a lot of extra parts for $99. I follow F1 for 20+ years, and the set should is big disappointment. Lego should have included more iconic Mercedes things like the AMG GTR Safety Car. A lot of the build are items we have seen in other sets. More track/curb would be appreciated than silly tools and extra wheel covers.
