LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Nintendo Wii U

I'm recommending Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens because its fun to play especially two player couch coop. Great and engaging game especially for multi play with a youngster. My son is now in college but is enjoying playing this game. I intend on getting more lego games for us to enjoy together, not too intense, just enjoyable. As always I'll get the game from Fanatical as it seems I can get two games for the price of one on Steam. As usual I have never had any issue with any game I bought on Fanatical, love it.

Fun game with the kids

A solid entry into the large lego game franchise - this game starts on the Battle of Endor and adds some other areas to stretch out the gameplay, but it's visually impressive, runs smoothly, and works with 2 player co-op. The death star trench run and tie fighter battle over Jaku look great and are quite fun.Some of the puzzles are a bit weird or unclear, but you'll figure them out with a little practice. Soon you will be thinking the way the makers of the game think and it will become a nice diversion.Like the other lego games, this is kid friendly since there isn't really a way to "die" or lose a level. Replay an old level with new characters to discover more secrets (for example, only Luke can pull droids buried in the sand on Jaku).All the the cutscenes put their own lego twist on famous Star Wars scenes. Heads pop off, body parts get switched, and almost everything is made g-rated in a funny way.

Fun, but Endor again?

We enjoy the Lego games and the kids especially like anything Star Wars. It was more than a little surprising and frankly disappointing to start chapter one only to find ourselves replaying the Battle for Endor. Even our 4 year old called you out on this one. Yes, the game play was a bit different but if we want to play Return of the Jedi, well, we already own that. The rest of the game was fun and we like all of the new characters and that there are choices of what/where to build when presented with "broken" Legos. It makes the game more challenging and the kids have fun trying to figure out which item to build first.As for issues:1. It took us a while to realize that there is no "store" for buying red bricks, this is done in the character menu.2. It's bad enough that we find ourselves avoiding flying missions in replay/freeplay whenever possible.3. Did I mention Endor? Please don't recycle old stories as filler in new games. It cost you one star (nearly two) and will have us thinking twice before buying the next game.

Let's just say that an entire level of exploring Maz Kanata's castle and another level of helping Leia clean up the Resistance base does not make for thrilling gameplay.Main story aside, the amount of SW characters, ships, and collectibles makes up for a lackluster campaign. It is odd that customers can't immediately play content they've paid for.Likewise with character packs. You are restricted to particular characters in the hub/adventure worlds until you complete all story levels, so can't use purchased characters until late in the game.I got the Deluxe Edition with the season pass, but it seems there is content that I can't access even though I have more than half the gold bricks. Many times it is difficult to hear what NPCs in your party are saying, and there is beautiful subtle music, then without warning there are loud effects and horribly loud music. I dread getting the "True Jedi" status in each level because the sound is crazy loud and jarring. The wildly inconsistent volume detracts from the enjoyment of the game.I'm not able to find all of the bricks and missions in adventure worlds, and find the maps confusing. There is no legend or color coding to indicate what map icons are what, and in some cases there doesn't appear to be a mission or brick where the map indicates. Tt:Please consider using the same color coding on the maps that is used on the status screen/level select. Fore example, if the scavenger mission plate on the level select screen is orange, please also make the map icons orange.It is difficult to find characters on the character select screen. It seems they are separated into groups, then arranged alphabetically within the groups, but the groups are not visually separated so it is difficult to figure out where they begin and end. It is also a big guessing game to figure out which group a character will be in. Tt:Please create visual breaks between groups and consider labeling the groups. I would also love an options page where I could choose my favorite character for each ability during free play. For example, a options screen with abilities like agility, grapple, force, light saber, etc in one column, then another column to select a default character for that ability. Then when the player goes into a Free Play version of the level, they get their favorite characters rather than random.The music chosen from the film score and how it transitions during play is wonderful and adds a great deal to the feel during gameplay. Unfortunately it is often jarringly loud.I usually wait 6-9 months for LEGO Group games to go on sale, and feel I should have waited this time too.

And when this game came out in 2015, no difference. This game is an action packed adventure. You start on episode VII, getting ready to destroy the Death Star, playing as the awesome Han Solo, Leia Oragana, C-3PO, and of course, R2-D2. I love that you can drive the Millineum Falcon, Poe's X-Wing, and Tie-fighters. And the best part? The cast! Which includes Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Domhnall Gleeson (Who also plays Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter Series). The game does have puzzles, which are fun and the building is taken to a different level then any of the other Lego games, allowing you to build multiple different things to accomplish your goals. There is quite a bit of Lego humor, which adds to the fun. I would recommend this game to any Star Wars or Lego Fan. I can't wait for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game. Got this in the mail yesterday and immediately put it in. I have loved the Lego games and I was excited for the first Star Wars offering on PS4. This went way beyond expectations.First off, the quality of the graphics are phenomenal. Flawless gameplay and beautiful locations.They upgraded the build abilities, as well. In most cases, now, you will have multiple builds that you can do with one pile of bricks. This adds a new dimension to the puzzles as you have to build the proper items in the right order to proceed. This goes beyond simply breaking and building. New melee moves are available and brick multipliers while fighting enemies.My boys (8 and 5) were so excited to be playing in the new Star Wars story, as well. Well packaged. EXCELLENT game for the family

Product was well packaged and not broken/open. Game installed without any technical problems (update downloaded automatically). Kids love the game, however, is a game for the whole family. No need to have played previous Lego games to play this one. I have it connected to a home theater and it sounds great!!!! I also have it con a single LED TV with a 720 resolution and it looks amazing!!!On the not-so-good side: Like previous LEGO games on the WiiU console, this one sometimes crashes/freezes and information for that part of the game can be lost. But this had happen to all the LEGO games I have purchased for the WiiU console (Lego Batman 1-2-3, Lego Marvel, etc). Furthermore, there are reviews of other people informing the same situation. Whole family loves this game too!

I recently reviewed the Lego Jurassic Park game that my family loves to play & I love to watch & experience their excitement & joy. They asked me to add this game to the family fun for the Holidays. As I had mentioned before, I'm not tech savvy, but tech phobic & I am hopeless learning to use game controllers, but that doesn't stop the joy I have watching my family of three generations all playing and laughing and helping each other with another wonderful mix of Legos with a movie, this time it is Star Wars. As I also mentioned with the last review, watching my family play all kinds of games together, with such enthusiasm, excitement & joy, reminds me greatly of days 40 yrs long gone playing cards with my family once a week on our family farm.
