LEGO 42129 Technic App-Controlled 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck

I have mixed feeling after buying this very new set on special offer. John Lewis delivered as always with a great price and the box arrived in very good condition. I was able to collect from my local store without any trouble.As an avid Lego Technic builder and collector however, I was slightly underwhelmed by this set. There are some new bricks and some novel build techniques, especially the way the suspension works, but on the whole the functionality is just that of a remote control car. It does have a fancy gearbox that would probably do well on the beach in sand but how many people would do that with an expensive Lego kit. The functionality is really not that different than the 42109 Top Gear car.My advice is to wait until prices fall below £200 or keep saving ... MoreI have mixed feeling after buying this very new set on special offer. It's all about the making of this Lego kit. A couple of hours a day over a week saw it materialise. Climbs an incline effortlessly. Another great Lego build.

Love a Lego technic build and got an excellent discount on this set. Enjoyable build - ok it's a tad slow in RC mode but fun as a bit of variety from the norm.
