I was a little unsure picking this one up since it would be the first Lego game that I have played that involved voice acting. I thought it might take away from the humour of the earlier games. I was wrong and I have really enjoyed this game and how the adventure is set up

We have most of the lego playstation games and this one was fantastic. Both kids could play without being "tied" to the other (i.e. Less fighting) and the levels could each be played time and time again finding new and improved stuff. We clocked it, but took ages.

Although I am a LOTR fan, this game was a stretch for me because I had never played a LEGO game before. Now I can't get enough. This is a fantastic game for all ages. It is fun and with that added LEGO charm you get something that everyone can enjoy. Even grown adults will not be able to hold back a chuckle.

This game is beautiful. Personally my favourite part was just roaming Middle-Earth(especially the Shire) looking for hidden things. It takes a LONG time to complete and it's very addictive! The unlockable players/items keep the game interesting as you need to go back through the levels to undiscovered areas in order to retrieve them. It was a perfect way to relive The Lord of the Rings. A definite must-have!
Very good game. Thoroughly enjoy playing it. Only thing I find difficulty in is buying new characters. But maybe i am not looking in the correct place.

Great graphics, easy to follow storyline but it is difficult to unlock extras after finishing the story. All the other LEGO games have an area where you can watch all the playing clips but to watch clips again you have to do the entire level again with this one!
I love ❤️ the Lord of the Rings so much my favorite chapter is Bilbo Baggins grandson and he friends ? including Gandolf ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Not sure why this is called one of the best Lego games. The free-roaming is tedious but the main story is fun enough....but believe it or not I had much more fun with the PS Vita version....THE VITA VERSION!
Torn with my opinions of this game - on one part it fits the mould of the other LEGO games but this one seems more formal than prevoius LEGO games. Maybe the voice acting in the cut scenes has created this illusion. Very fun and if you are in to LOTR then the combination of the two will see you enjoying the game. Anyone who hasn't played a LEGO game and is considering this one should go forth and buy it. Let it become your PRECIOUS!
