I love these poles. Cork grip is so comfortable! These are definitely the lightest and strongest poles for trekking that I have ever owned. I took these puppies up into the Indian peaks wilderness and was really impressed with the fact that they don't vibrate at all even when you're pounding hard on the poles. The specs on this say that they have a "Speed Lock" and that's actually true. I've owned many poles and these were by far the easiest to adjust to my height (5'9") and then my husband's height (6'4") and they are very sturdy once you lock them in. My husband commented that normally these kinds of poles get a little wobbly when they're adjusted for his height and he did not have that problem with these poles which is very impressive. The cork grip is really ... MoreI love these poles. The strap is also easily adjustable but also very sturdy so your hands aren't slipping out while you're walking. The tips grip the Earth very well and provide a lot of stability. It's also nice you can replace them when you wear them down if that ever happens. I would recommend these to anyone no matter the activity!

I had lost my other Loki poles and thought I was simply replacing them. When these arrived at first was worried because they were heavier. Once I used them I realized that these poles are sturdier and of slightly higher quality. I am very pleased.

This is a good quality lightweight aluminum pole, which will satisfy most people. Adjustments are easy with the latch system, that holds the height very well. The cork grip is smooth, maybe not as grippy as I would like. It does vibrate a little. The straps and how it adjusts are great. I wish I went with the z-style poles that collapse small, since this is a bit long, even when collapsed fully, to put into a backpack.

Quite happy with these poles. The only thing I would change is rounding the top of the handle so it fits nicely in palm when going down hill. It’s fits a little awkwardly in the palm.Quick to adjust, sturdy and didn’t find them heavy.
I took them on a gruelling 2 week backpacking trip and they held up all the way. They are very durable and the grip is very comfortable. I'd say the grip is also smaller than average which makes it more comfortable for me. One thing to watch out for is that the material of the pole is not the usual cork that you may be used to; it's a bit more rigid and has a different texture, but holds up very well to abuse.
I got these hiking poles to try out and compare them to my other set. These are very light! They were very sturdy on hilly terrain and in slush. I was a little uncomfortable with the handle grips. They felt a little big for me (I wear a Small size glove). These would be great for local hiking but probably won't fit in carry-on luggage.
I’ve been hiking for over 30 years and never really felt like I needed a pair of these. Recently, I’ve both been doing a lot more winter/wet weather hiking, and have been told I am, ahem, no longer a spring chicken. Putting those two things together, I figured it’d be worth getting a pair of poles. Not knowing the difference they’d make, I was really pleasantly surprised by how much more stable I felt with them! And I saved myself from falling on a slippery wooden step, too, which was a nice bonus.Don’t have anything to compare to, but these are solid, easy to use, and once you have your height dialed in, like an extra set of feet for walking!
Nice adjustments, weight, feel, and collapsed size. The straps are pretty useless though. Adjusting the straps is not the problem, but they really don't want to stay in place. I can't figure out if it is just the material they are made from or where they are on the pole, but they always slide off of my hands. The poles work fine without them though.
I really enjoyed these poles. In the past I haven't used poles too much however now that I am getting a bit long in the tooth these poles really helped the stresses on my body! I found the grips to be very ergonomic and comfortable, although I am a larger male. The poles themselves are super lightweight and are pretty compact for travel and packing. They stood up to the hiking I did on some rocky and hilly terrain. I haven't tried them in winter weather yet, although I look forward to doing so!
First time owning a pair of Leki’s, and I must say I am quite impressed. I can’t believe these are considered their entry level poles. As an experienced backpacker who has used many different trekking poles through the years, I can easily say the build quality is second to none. Very impressive! Christened these on a 4 day, off-trail, backcountry, 50km trek across the Cape Breton Highlands. Rocks, bogs, mud holes, krummholz mazes, about 15 water crossings; through it all these Leki’s impressed me constantly. Fairly light, but a bit heavier than my previous Fizan poles, but far superior quality. I’m a Leki convert for life now.
