I have been debating with myself over the price of this product and eventually, I bought it because I'm sick of the really cheap popcorn makers and the electric ones have some reviews that scared me off.This popcorn maker has changed my life! This is the best popcorn maker I've ever owned. Way better than a hot air popper that sends popcorn flying all over the kitchen bench. To achieve the best result, use the medium setting on your microwave - around 800 watts. A higher setting will burn the popcorn. If you keep an eye on the popcorn and remove it from the microwave when the popping starts to slow down, you'll have a perfect result. I've enjoyed many movies with popcorn at home thanks to this product - and it saves me money. Popcorn kernels are cheaper to buy than pre-packaged microwave popcorn. This product is a great investment and money well spent in my opinion.

Simple to use, lines in bowl for 50 and 100 ml of kernels. I set microwave on high for 3 minutes and listen for 2 seconds between pops to stop the microwave, usually just over 2 minutes in 1300 watt microwave. Easy to wash the butter/oil off the silicone.The instruction sheet has some good suggestions for what to add to popcorn after popped. Designed in Barcelona, the English guide uses measurements in tsp (I assume for USA) that are awkward conversions from ml, but just look at other languages to see ml measurements.

Wow is this a great popcorn maker without oil. I use the 'popcorn' setting on my microwave and I watch carefully in order to immediately remove the popcorn maker as soon as the popping stops. The bowl is quite hot so I remove with oven mitts near the base of the maker as that's more stable than the floppy silicon sides and dump it upside down lid and all into my large popcorn bowl in order to get the corn out before any burn. The instructions call for 1/4 cup of oil but that is far too much. I have a feeling you could make it completely oil free and it would work. I went through a process of successively reducing the amount of oil I put in there and am down to 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil along with a pinch of sea salt and just under 1/2 cup of popcorn. I was on the “hedge” when I saw this popcorn maker online. I read the reviews and decided to go for it as Nordstrom has always provided excellent customer service if a return is ever necessary. It makes perfect popcorn and takes up very little space in my cabinet. I used the basic popcorn recipe a few times already. I plan on trying the other included recipes next. I will be ordering more of the microwave popcorn makers to send to other popcorn lovers in my family!
I bought one of these for my boys, and it has been an instant winner. Making popcorn on the stove with hot oil is tricky, but in the microwave it is simple and relatively safe for them to do by themselves.We have enjoyed experimenting with different "recipes", like 2 teaspoons of sugar, a small amount of oil and water, a pinch of salt, and a splash of vanilla essence. In about 3 minutes you have "light", crispy caramel popcorn. Incredible.It is a bit tricky to get the timing right - too long and you get burning, too short and you leave unpopped kernels. Popcorn is cheap enough that we are happy to leave a portion unpopped.This is such a good product that I have already bought one for my sister's birthday.
I add no oil to and just a little salt to the bowl, and the kernels come out perfectly puffed, flavorful and light. If I want buttery popcorn, I just transfer the hot popcorn to a bowl with some olive oil and toss. My microwave is 700 watts and I set the time to 4 min 15 seconds. A few kernels don’t pop, which in my experience is the case no matter what method I’ve e er tried. Adjust your time or power level according to your microwave - experiment!. I don’t wash my bowl since I use no oil or butter, so nothing sticks to it. It’s my favorite popcorn maker and I’ve given it as gifts - everybody who has received one from me agrees that it is awesome.
Liked: how easy it was to put in some ghee, kernels then push a button (3 mins- I never use the popcorn button) for some tasty (zero WW point!!) popcorn for a snack! Dislike: Nothing!! This popcorn was delicious and healthy! It’s very easy to clean and even easier to store, highly recommend. I’m my opinion it tasted better than movie popcorn!!
This is the third microwave popcorn popper I have purchased. The Lekue is, thus far, my favorite. The first one was a Presto Power Pop. It required paper concentrators, which had to be replaced periodically and became strictly a mail order item. The second was a Nordic Ware which had no disposable concentrator but left lots of unpopped kernals and oil spattered out of the popper making a mess in the microwave. The Lekue has less unpopped corn and seals well so oil is not spattered throughout the microwave. It requires very little oil, thus popcorn is light and crisp. I use half of the oil that the marking in the popper indicates with great results. Wish l had bought this one first. It is THE BEST!!
exterior packaging was ok with no apparent issues.interior however....top of the box was ripped/torn. sides crushed. since its silicone the actual product was unharmed. since i dont have enough time to return %26 reorder, i have to tape this one.
