Lelit Mara X White with Maple handles The Lelit Mara X (PL62X) is the most compact E61style heat exchanger (L58E) espresso machine in the world! This machine won't take over the whole kitchen bench but will be able to keep up when the whole gang orders espressos, cappuccinos and everything in between. It is also the only heat exchanger espresso machine in the world to have two temperature probes to ensure brew water is at the correct temperature while maintaining steam pressure as high as possible for easier milk texturing. Features: 1.8L stainless steel boiler with heat exchanger and thermo-siphon double cycle system to have the brewing group and the boiler always warm, at the right temperature. Internal pipes in copper. Internal PID temperature controller instead of mechanical pressurestat for stable temperature control Double manometer to check the brew and steam pressure. Stainless steel on/off switch. Separate pilot lights. Water level control in the tank and automatic heating element cut off in cases of lack of water. Manual rearm security thermostat. Settable over pressure valve. Anti-burn steam and water wands. 58mm LELIT filterholder to be operated with ground coffee.

Its a beautiful machine when working.Out of the box I had a loose nut to the boiler and tank after tank of water spilled all over my cabinet. Im still waiting for WLL to get back to me but I managed to fix on my own and am now enjoying my MaraX.Heat up time is about 25 minutes. The pre infusion is great. The accessories package is ample. I do wish it came with a bottomless portafilter but the dual spout works fine so no complaints. Its cliché but a machine this expensive should not have a loose nut spilling water on week one. What is a normal non technical person supposed to do? Ship the entire thing back on their dime? Its a shame WLL didn’t respond to my technical support request before this survey or the response might have been different.

Solid machine for two years. No issues until year two. I heard a small steam leak, called service at Chris' Coffee, they offered reassurance I could probably fix it myself. It turned out to be a fitting, called service back, Dennis instructed me how to repair the issue and I all is fixed and back in service. The Lelit Mara X is a solid machine, extracts perfect espresso and textures milk, almond or oat milk like a pro. My coffees exceed my favorite local coffee shop offerings, and we have many in Cleveland. And we have great coffee roasters too, but Black Pearl from Chris' Coffee has the most consistent crema. Thank you for helping me select my espresso machine and grinder and for superlative service and support. 🤎 (Latte heart.)

But, if you’ve read any reviews, you already know that Mara’s design presents a few challenges for the user. Extremely short legs make moving the machine on your counter more difficult than it should be since there is no room to insert your fingers under the case. Also, because it’s such a low-rider, when you pull out the drip tray, which requires a small tilt, the lower rear corners of the tray casing can scratch your counter surface. I solved that problem two ways. First, I affixed small, flat, clear rubber bumpers inside the back tray walls to hang below the corners about 1/8”. They are barely visible from the outside but prevent the corners from scraping the counter. I also find they make it easier to align the tray as it slides past switches and Lelit’s own rubber bumpers on the body. Ultimately I decided to buy a set of 3rd-party aftermarket legs which fit snuggly onto the existing rubber feet and raise the machine about an inch, solving both issues. Perhaps Lelit will modify the design on future releases to eliminate those shortcomings. Other users comment on the closeness of the brew lever and hot water wand. I don’t find that to be a problem as I rarely use the water wand and keep it tucked away on the side of the case pointing to the rear.I like my Mara, but my initial experiences have caused me some anxiety about quality control in components of the machine, thus my 4 of 5 stars rating. My unit developed an issue with the expansion valve within a few days of using it, causing a high pitched squeal when the pump engaged. Staff at Chris’ Coffee offered excellent support via phone and email. After following their troubleshooting guidance at home, I returned the unit for servicing, which was successful in fixing the problem. (Thank you Joe, Cosmo, and Michael.) Unfortunately, when I got the machine back it had a new problem on start-up with a faulty steam pressure gauge. Again, support at Chris’ was responsive and we are taking care of that problem. Whether these were factory problems or long-distance cold-weather transit issues, or something else, I don’t know. But the occurrence of two repair issues within the first couple of weeks of ownership was troubling, to say the least. Of course my case may be an outlier since there are many completely happy users around the globe. Should these two things be the only premature problems I deal with, I too will be very happy with my Mara.

Really happy with my Lelit Mara X. Easy to use and compact. My only complaint would be that it takes 25 minutes to warm up and eco mode makes it turn off after 30 minutes. I can't turn it on and leave it until I'm ready. I need to find something to do for 25 minutes while I wait for it to heat up but I don't want to be away for an hour or it automatically shuts off (stand by mode). There is a way to disable the stand by mode but I worry what might happen if I turn it on, get distracted and leave it on all day. Is this bad for the equipment? Could this start a fire? Most electric equipment automatically shut off for a reason.Additionally, it was previously opened. Consiglio's Kitchenware added biodegradable packaging between the two Lelit boxes, put it in another larger box, added more packaging and wrapped it in a few hundred meters of packing tape. You could have dropped this down a mountain side and it would have been fine. lol. Consiglio's Kitchenware included information about the packaging. How it is biodegradable, can be composted or can be reduced in size for throwing it out. Basically, easy to get rid of and environmentally friendly.

Lelit MaraX v2 Black

It’s been a month using MaraX and I’m very pleased with it and the espresso that I’m able to produce. IMO it’s very aesthetically pleasing, love the black body with the maple wood, looking beautiful in my kitchen! I knew that it lacked in its feet, poorly designed and just tiny rubbery feet aren’t worthy of the overall machine and also for the price. So I’m fixing that by getting maple wood feet custom made (Etsy) so hopefully that will correct the problem also with moving the machine around. Lelit should definitely correct that moving forward maybe for v3 I guess. I come from a Breville Barista Express so this machine feels way more “premium or commercial”. Lelit should definitely correct that moving forward maybe for v3 I guess. I come from a Breville Barista Express so this machine feels way more “premium or commercial”. Love the maple wood pf and the tactile experience with the steam and water knobs and lever. The features selecting preset brew temperatures for different roast types and the coffee/steam priority all work wonderful and it makes a very simple machine that it’s super easy to use a more capable and adjustable interface. One complaint right out of the box is the fact that Lelit didn’t add an exposed adjustment for the OPV to bring the brew pressure down to 9 bars or lower. Know that this machine comes from factory set at 10 bars. It makes zero sense why they’d do that. You have to unscrew several screws and open the top casing to adjust the brew pressure. This should be done by Lelit factory set to the industry standard of 9 bars. Ok back to positive- it comes with an awesome tamper - this is a true solid and beautiful tamper. Also it comes with IMS filter baskets- they seem pretty legit precision baskets, single, double and triple. Sad they don’t include a bottomless pf like they do with the Bianca…Anyways all you need is a good WDT and use the Lelit tamper and you’ll be on your way to make great espresso. Of course you need a good grinder. I paired it with Niche Zero and I’m enjoying amazing espresso. The steaming power is a bit weak when set to coffee mode but still way better than what I was used to with Breville. However when set to steam mode it’s really good. Overall steaming is good for my needs. I don’t need a super end game machine like the bigger Bianca so Mara meets my needs and I find it beautiful! Overall I recommend it and I’d probably buy it again knowing what I know now.

Would be nice to have quick turn valve for steam or even better a joystick.I'm still getting use to steaming on the left side so use to doing it from right side I get my milk jug all backwards, lolOn first impressions I would highly recommend the Mara X, especially on sale.

So yeah... the Mara X... it has changed my life. It came at the recommendation of my very best friend, who happens to be Italian (shoutout to Stefano). Always trust an Italian giving you espresso recommendations! This machine is absolutely perfect. It is fun to use, has everything you'd need for a budding home barista, and stares at me throughout the day, begging to pull just ONE more shot together. My family, friends, contractors, delivery people are all benefitting from the Mara X addition. I'm actually thinking about changing my daughter's name to Mara.Chris' Coffee was also the perfect place to buy the Mara X... amazing staff, support, advice, etc. Thank you all so very much for changing my already awesome life!!!

Absolute monster of a machine, pours a great espresso. We just recently first bought a breville in 2019 and the espressos are great! But this machine is an absolute game changer, I've had it for 1 day and I'm looking forward to wake up to it early in the morning tomorrow just for how amazing the whole experience for me is. I was blown away, one thing is to get it at a coffee shop, it's really incredible to have it in your home. Worth the investment, hopefully it keeps making us happy for years to come. Thank you Lelit for this one I really love this I was skeptical when purchasing but so happy I made the jump. For the price range I have no doubt that other machines are as good as this one in terms of flavor and quality. I chose lelit mara x for it's design and build ... MoreAbsolute monster of a machine, pours a great espresso. We just recently first bought a breville in 2019 and the espressos are great! It's something you look at everyday and it makes me feel good inside. If you prefer convenience there may be better machines I guess? I think the lelit mara x is damn perfect
