I found it ridiculous that I but a brand new, high-end business laptop and the BIOS update messes up the cooling and causes an issue which is super annoying in everyday use. I'm extremely disappointed in the whole lenovo customer support and service. At this rate, my old T14s offers the same performance for everyday work without the super annoying cooling fan noise. Ridiculous.

Amazing school laptop. Top grade quality, all metal build. I got a great deal on this laptop and it would be worth the money if I paid much more. Mine has insane specs, so it makes running school specific programs, office and general browsing super speedy and comfortable. The battery life is great! Overall the quality of this laptop is what I fell in love with, instantly. I have had 4 different Lenovo products (Gaming laptop, Prebuilt PC, T14 work laptop, and the X13). For every use case Lenovo has delivered a top notch product for me.
The X13 Gen 4 AMD is the perfect small form factor laptop. I purchased this for use while traveling and have not been disappointed. The keyboard is a bit tight (coming from a larger 14" machine) but I knew this going in with a 13" laptop. Otherwise it is the perfect travel size computer. Light and space efficient, but still with plenty of necessary ports (USB C, USB A and HDMI, not to mention an real life AUX jack). With the Ryzen 5 pro it is snappy and power efficient. I have owned several ThinkPad products in the past and will continue to purchase in the future.
So, time came around for a new world machine. Most of the time I'm using the device docked running external displays so my preference is for something small that can disappear into the bag without being a huge weight.The x13 Gen 5 works well for me but is sill large enough to use undocked if you need to.Build quality seems good so far, keyboard is good like you would generally would expect from a ThinkPad.I do appreciate having the full size USB and HDMI ports on a device this size as it keeps the number of cables that need to be carried about to a minimum
The bad:- Internal mic is very quiet. Official drivers, Windows update, and other typical ways they tend to recommend on the internet didn't help. I've managed to make it work only after using third-party driver installer.- Actual battery life is 5.5-6.5 hours. I ordered extended battery. All drivers are installed, all configurations applied. I might squeeze 7 hours with all power saving features applied and maybe even more on linux, but let's be realistic, I need a device with adequate performance(balanced instead of power saving mode), all the software I need for work to be active or run in background (teams, skype, lots of browser tabs, office, terminal, etc.), adequate usable screen brightness (65-90%), and keyboard backlit on.
