I've been using the Chromebook Duet 3 for a little over a month now and have been very pleased with it. I bought it specifically to bring it travelling with me and definitely fit the bill of 'powerful enough' but 'highly portable'. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a budget alternative to a pricey tablet. It also has the added benefit of coming with it's own protective case, consisting of detachable stand and keyboard pieces. The stylus pen is also an added bonus. I used it minimally so I cannot comment on the battery drain of the pen. The activities I used the pen for were also not very stringent, so perhaps those who need to accomplish very sensitive tasks with the pen would have bigger complaints. However, it should be noted that several streaming apps only allow SD quality within the app. This was disappointing as download functions obviously require use of the app. Otherwise, you were able to view HD by using a browser instead of the app. Overall, I would still rate this tablet a 4.5 and would recommend it.

It doesn't quite fully detach so that's good, but I wish Lenovo could design the connect point to be more flexible. It seems to expect the keyboard to remain at a specific angle when the tablet is not stationed. small issue though.Overall, I'd say it is a great buy at the price point that it is offered. I would definitely get another one of its future upgrades if the price is right.

It took me a month and a half to get this Duet 3 when it was listed as, "in stock" when the order was placed. Two-day expedited shipping with my Lenovo account? That's a joke.I've now had it for a few days and I've noticed that the battery drains EXTREMELY fast. Even with all the apps killed and sitting idle overnight, I will wake up to 30%-40% of the battery drained. All software is up to date and a quick Google search revealed that this has been a known issue for a long time with no fix from Lenovo?? That's unacceptable. Now I have to decide if/how I will be returning this. Also, there are basically zero options for 3rd party accessories for the Duet 3 devices despite them being on the market for plenty of time. Now I have to decide if/how I will be returning this. Also, there are basically zero options for 3rd party accessories for the Duet 3 devices despite them being on the market for plenty of time. They don't even have screen protectors available. Someone else brought this up on Reddit and a user commented that Lenovo P11 Pro screen protectors will work pretty well since they have similar dimensions. I got a tempered glass screen protector and it fits pretty well (even has the camera cutout in the exact right place) but now the screen is extremely unresponsive to touch input. How is this not calibrated for that kind of thing like almost every other portable touchscreen device available?I was so excited for this device but it has been one disaster after another. From inconsistent Lenovo customer support sessions, inaccurate and constantly fluctuating delivery timelines, and now an obviously defective product that is high enough demand that it constantly sells out but Lenovo isn't fixing the issues in a timely manner, this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing purchases I've made in a long time. I want to love this thing but every time I pick it up, it finds a way to remind me that it isn't the well-rounded device it should have been.

I'm not sure if this is an update issue with the chromebook or Google being Google.Cons: Would have liked to see more power. The Samsung Chromebook pro had a good processor and great battery life. I feel like they could have had a slightly better processor without sacrificing battery. This is a minor issue because it is working well for why I bought it.

I bought this for a fairly specific use - simple, travel computing that if stolen wouldn't mean a big loss. I wanted something fairly small, fairly light, mainly for the websites of airlines and trains, and some general web use for news, email, etc. ChromeOS is fine for my uses. It's basically a web browser with an operating system to support it. You can have some limited apps via the Android Apps and even the Linux Apps, but I'll remind you that its core competency is being a web browser, so that's what it does best. I think the screen is actually quite nice, perhaps the device's best thing. The keyboard is plastic and small, but I'm typing on it now, and really is fine. Outstanding buy in a Chromebook. Very compact, lightweight, full featured and rugged. It's amazing that so many resources can be put in a low cost product with a great display and compact useful platform. I bought my Chromebook as a refurbished machine for very little money, yet it was like new and in perfect condition. The unit was immediately useful, activated and updated to the latest version operating software and apps and brought in all my customizations from my other PCs, tablets and phone platforms. It's a well engineered and unified universe of computing technology. This is a grab and go system.

The touch pad is so horrendous on this Chromebook, it renders this laptop almost unusable. It is that bad. It has such difficulty "clicking" to get a regular click, you have to try multiple times. And aiming the cursor is nearly impossible, as it jumps around and jitters. Nearly impossible to right or left click and nearly impossible to aim the cursor or control the laptop from this touch pad is infuriating. Also annoying is the choose of keyboards, having the number pad to the right, forces the touch pad and the QWERTY landing for the hands offset to the left. I have other Lenovo Chromebooks, I wish they had re-used the Yogi key board and touch pad, which is much much better.I will also say this, this Chromebook needs more RAM, as it doesn't have enough to run ... MoreThe touch pad is so horrendous on this Chromebook, it renders this laptop almost unusable.
