My first Lenovo purchase and have nothing but positive things to say about this laptop. I'm so happy with this purchase. Use mainly for work. Loads and runs super fast, very light, sound, resolution and camera are amazing, keyboard buttons are nice and big and I really love the beautiful silver colour too. Great price offered by Officeworks, would highly recommend. I'm so so happy - thank you so much Lenovo and Officeworks. Very happy customer :)

The laptop was advertised to have a backlit keyboard but it does not. Was supposed to be Windows 11, but it was Windows 10 in S mode. After first installing everything, I had to then update and install Windows 11 in S mode, to get the Windows 11. Took me two days to get it up and running. Totally unnecessary waste of time. It should have been straight out of the box ready, and only needed to have personal information put into it. A half hour at the most worth of time like every other computer I've set up. If my husband hadn't got rid of the box, I would have uninstalled everything and sent it back. The description for this laptop needs changed so someone else isn't disappointed too.

As only set up for 3 days no issues to date Small gripes: The keyboard deck is smaller than previous DELL and seems keyboard more compact so at the moment keep hitting keys by mistake . Also less area to rest my hands Also some keyboard commands are in different places on the keyboard and now I have to use the Fn key to use which is a bit annoying like the * and Home and End Lastly , power lead is quite short compared to other laptops I have had in the past. Other that , all good . Easy to set up , good speakers and Lenovo Vantage is a good app to manage device settings, improve performance, and enhance PC

I have purchased two of these as the first one started out quite well. On the whole they are great work tools and have good memory, graphics viewability, functionality and battery life HOWEVER a fault in them is a chip that fails and locks you out of ANY internet access - even hotspot to your phone. The only solution is to send it off and have the chip replaced. This would have been OK if I'd been given a replacement device to work off however I was without a device for 4 weeks before I knew the status of the fix - this is via Office Works and their agent for Lenovo. I ended up having to purchase another machine in order to be able to run the business. A combination of bad chip and bad service. I have had a Lenovo Laptop before which I was very pleased with. So it was a natural chose to stick with the branch, it did not disappoint, much light and more compact than my last one which was a bonus for me. Nice net keyboard and the touch pad is very positive. The only thing I found annoying was it had Windows S pre-loaded which I found very limiting you could only install Apps available from Play Store. It is however easy to change to the latest Windows version at no cost, which I did I am now very happy with my purchase.
When you read the small print you will see that this lovely little laptop "ensures you use microsoft edge to "safely" navigate". Hmm. I might not want to choose Microsoft these days so I am returning the item and will continue my search.
Making a review after using for 2.5 years. Only thing I can say is, "amazing buy." Everything Still works like brand new after using it heavily for school and gaming after 2.5 years. Bought for my son in college, The average gamer and student making every task a breeze. This buy is a "no brainer" and I 100% recommend it to everyone looking for a machine for studying or just playing video games.
Please note that the picture and information at the top of the page are not correct. This laptop does not have a backlit keyboard or a dedicated GPU. Also, the battery life is 5 hours (38 Wh) not 8 hours. Check for yourself by doing a search on the model number 82H802KTUK.
What is the situation John Lewis regarding this advert? The laptop supplied is not as illustrated nor specified. No Ethernet connection, etc. There would appear to be something wrong with the advert.
At the time of writing JL advertise this as 8 hour battery life, it's actually 5 hours (38 Wh). I was unable to exit Windows S mode for some reason and had to completely reinstall Windows 11 from a USB stick. This was probably a good idea anyway as this laptop comes with the US version of Windows and by reinstalling I was able to get the UK version. The keyboard is smaller than on my 2015 Lenovo so touch typing is a bit more difficult. Compared to my old laptop the screen is higher resolution and it's much quicker. Unlike some laptops there is a facility to keep the battery partly charged when plugged in if desired which will make it last longer. Lenovo helpfully started my warranty long before I received my laptop but they corrected this after I contacted them.
