Decided it was time to upgrade my PC setup that I built 8 years ago starting with the monitor and peripherals. Looking around, it seemed many agreed 27" 1440p was the sweet spot so I started researching monitors in that segment. After looking around stumbled onto the Legion Y27q-20 and it's pretty much one of the best high refresh rate 27" 1440p IPS monitors on the market right now. This monitor is fairly nice, the colors are good and the size is great, it's built very sturdy and has nice features, but there's some issues like less than optimal screen fade around the edges unless you have your head like 3 ft away and perfectly centered, and the material they used for the screen reflects a lot of light so glare is moderately to really bad in anything but near total darkness even if the light source is fairly far away and off to the side (and if you have windows in the room you better have dark curtains or play exclusively at night). Another minor gripe is the USB port supports a charge mode you can toggle on, but it's a very slow charging port, probably 5V2A or less. For a nearly $500 monitor I don't think it would have been terribly expensive ... I don't know that the fade at the edges of the screen is really a fault of design so much as just reaching the size limit a flat panel can be at this DPI. If it were curved I don't think this would be an issue. It's a shame to have such a nice stand with good ergonomics that you really can't use because the edges of the screen will blur and fade if you're not at the perfect angle. I think this monitor is a good deal though if you can get it around $350-380.

This is a great 1440p/165hz monitor. The base is highly adjustable, no issues with dead pixels, color or connectivity.I have two of these that I use side by side. I do have two minor complaints. Occasionally the buttons to switch inputs stick, and I've had to power cycle the monitor to switch inputs. Also the two monitors have _slightly_ different colour tones. I understand this is common with any monitor, but I these monitors don't give the option for fine grained colour adjustment to get them closer.

If this is something that can be updated via a firmware update in future, I'd be more than happy to update this to a 5-star review, but it's too major of an issue for me to ignore without a fix.
This monitor for me was a game changer. Everything from video to gameplay is just so.. smooth, the colors pop, picture is crisp. The size is perfect for getting immersed yet not to big for a medium sized desk. Chose this over a curved screen because I also do online college course work, best of all worlds for work and play. Didn't notice I selected a model with no speakers but worked out as a soundbar sits nicely on the stand.

When I try I get a blank black screen and only a hard reboot will resolve. The machine includes an Nvidia GEFORCE RTX 3070 GPU. To run X-Plane it must be downgraded to run at 144 Hz over either DP or HDMI.Also, the driver offered by Lenovo support is worthless; it contains three files, an .icm, a .cat and an .inf, but no executable driver. I reported this to Lenovo; so far no positive response.Finally, at the time of purchase Lenovo offered a 10 % military discount via ID.me. I am registered with ID.me as a veteran with a service connected disability. The ID.me interface used by Lenovo required ... Its one saving grace, compared to a host of other monitors that support 144 Hz is its 3-year warranty. All others offer only a 1-year warranty.
