There have been some reviews noting a conflict between Alexa and android operation - I cannot speak on that.I do think the dock would work well as a blurtooth speaker. There ia also a slot for a simm card - would be able to call and text I guess, but woud require an additional line...Overall, an awesome tablet for surfing, office, emails, android games.

It's OK.Many apps aren't optimized for this tablet so they will only display in portrait mode. You have to keep turning the tablet back and forth from landscape to portrait to use them. That can be annoying because it puts the fingerprint sensor in an awkward position. Lenovo probably just needs to update the profile information associated with the tablet. Also, although my device is a wifi-only tablet, many apps seem to think it is a cell phone and ask for access to the phone and call logs. The tablet has brilliant running gear or internal hardware. The thing designed to protect that hardware is cheap. Too cheap. To find the only option to solve a simple issue is complete replacement at the same cost as the original purchase is just ridiculous.Learn from my rookie mistake.

Love My P10, But...
19 April 2019

My experience so far has been very good. The tablet is fast and comes with a good amount of RAM, 4Gb and good storage at 64Gb. I also added 128Gb SDXC card to increase storage.Although I purchased it to use without the dock, I like the idea and have tried it. Built in Alexa is useful, however I'd prefer Google Assistant (have to look into that). I also purchased a 3rd party vendor folio type case that automatically wakes the tablet when I open the cover. Nice touch. The issue I have is that I cannot use the dock if the tablet is in the case and I don't like to remove the tablet from the case as it is pretty snug and a bit difficult to remove. Couple that with the fact that front and back of the tablet are glass without a protective frame and I'm afraid I'll chip ... MoreMy experience so far has been very good. Even if I had to buy an OEM Lenovo case, it would have been worth it to me.Lastly, this tablet replaces/supplements a 2013 vintage Nexus 7, 7" tablet that I love and still use. The Nexus no longer updates the OS and is therefore a bit vulnerable an less useful. I love the size and resisted getting a larger tablet, but the P10 is light and the larger screen and overall size is fine.THANKS!

Melding of two unique systems delivers a unique beast shinning bright.
22 August 2020

An unusual beast shines bright. You get the best of two world that don't quite gel but does that matter? You get an Amazon Alexa and an Android Tablet. They don't work seamlessly together which is not surprising. As separates they shine and with a little trouble you can switch between without fuss. As a tablet the glass front and back with the metalled sides oozes quality. The dock is class, sturdy, loud and clear. The far field microphones out performed an Echo 8 I compared it to. Whilst the spec of the tablet is not top flight it is fast and is more than capable of anything you want to throw at it. Coming back to the screen its of a far better size to view those recipes in the kitchen. So a melding of two unique systems delivers a great bit of Lenovo kit.

Pretty great

This product is pretty great. It's very sleek and modern and does as expected. However, I do have some feedback to provide.I find it rather frustrating that Alexa is unable to really work effectively to open the main applications that I use. Such examples are Hulu, Netflix and the like. I purchased this product so I could watch shows and movies while I cooked. But asking Alexa to open anything is impossible. She just tells me it's "not available on this device" when obviously it is. So that's a HUGE disconnect. At least once I log in I can just switch to Google assistant and she can open what I need.So yay Goggle, lolThe other dissatisfying discovery was the realization that the speaker in the dock is more prominent on the left side rather than center mass. I suppose the saving grace is the fact that the further away I am away from the dock, the less I am aware that the speaker is not central. The sound actually sounds more surround. Interesting, that.Honestly, once docked, it's pretty amazing how loud the sound can get. Off, it's about half as able, but still decent enough. The clarity is awesome. As I don't actively use Alexa (I am a Siri user) maybe I just haven't discovered all the potential it has to offer. Regardless, I actually really like this product. I am glad I purchased it.

While you can certainly use a tablet in the $100 USD range for web browsing, YouTube and streaming, or PlayStore app games, the performance of the weaker CPU, the resolution of the screen (typically 1200x800), and overall feel of the unit will always leave you wondering what you could have gotten had you shelled out the extra $50.While the screen is exactly the same as the M10, the added ROM (4GB) really helps this little guy power through the apps I am using. I also had trouble with the M10 deleting apps from my home-screen, though they were always available on the expanded apps list. However, it constantly deleted any saved desktop sites, causing an issue for my kids when it came to using browser pages for school that needed sign-in. Apparently, that was due to the Android update from Oreo to Pie, but none of those issues followed onto the P10.I use my P10 for word processing (google docs and word), spread sheets (google sheets and the office app), e-mails for work/home, and web browsing. While the screen size may be difficult to work with for any office suite software it gets the job done when I'm on the run. Honestly, for everyday work tasks this little gadget holds up just fine.I also use the P10 to connect to my laptop (via USB Type C) to use as a second monitor, albeit a tiny one. You have to pay for the app, but it honestly helps out when you're juggling multiple doc/sheets and writing reports. For reference, I am comparing the P10 directly to the Samsung Tab A , 10.1" tablet. Overall, the P10 gives the Samsung a real run for its money. Samsung comes with all of their added software preinstalled so the Lenovo's lack of bloatware really makes it a more appealing choice for picky folks like me.However, I prefer the Samsung screen layout and its cameras are much more clear/sharp.All that in mind, the Samsung Tab A sells for $230 USD with 32GB of RAM and 2/3GB of ROM, so the Lenovo beats it (on paper, anyway). If you're looking for a tablet for your kids to use for school and goofing off, the P10 will work just as well as any Chromebook once paired with a 3rd party keyboard and housed in a protective case. It's lighter, easier to store in a backpack, and has the same access to the android apps and sites that your kids will need to use, and offers a little bit more on the entertainment side when the kids are home or in the car on long trips. But don't worry: you can pair this and any android device to your kids' Google account (that you create) and monitor everything through Google Family Link (disable apps, set time limits, monitor texts, etc. - you know, all the nanny state stuff that we say we oppose when used on us. Parenthood makes us all tyrants).4/5 and solid choice for a $200-ish tablet.

TOO Heavy, Hard to handle, Strange things happen, Features not documented (No Manual), Bluetooth hit & miss with dock .... Wish Had Not Bought
28 April 2020

The Smart Tab P10 seems to have been discontinued early. Lots of problems. I only find it documented in various reviews and forums across the web. Found Lenovo support severely lacking (Same as manuals) Everywhere I turn when using this, I run into advertising. TOTALLY ANNOYIING ! My old unit had Android 5.1 and no bloat wear triggering ads other than Google. I suspect this has Google Amazon and Lenovo competing with various forms of advertising. Could be mistaken about sources ;) Possibly Google Android PIE is a major contributor; with I had stayed on my old Phablet. Was slow; but, no major surprises until I sat on it. Wish I had not purchased the P10.

I mainly use this to watch Youtube videos, web and apps while not using the PC. I had a Samsung was 2GB RAM and that ran it's course as it was hard to run more than one app at a time. I knew that I needed more RAM but Samsung's cost a premium. I then looked into other brands and Lenovo kept coming up in the RAM department.I saw this one and it had better specs than my older Samsung and more RAM. The GPU is newer and stronger, as are the CPUs. Other tabs have more channels on the RAM - but that is good if you game, but I don't do much of that on here, I just needed speed and newer features.Lenovo has a newer model of this with more powerful CPUs, but the GPU is OLDER and only good for Direct X 10, while the GPU on this model has Direct X 12. The screen is cleaner and clearer than the Samsung, although the Samsung could go brighter, due to it's screen type.Youtube videos play faster, clearer and with more detail than the old one.. Web pages do the same and videos looks worlds better and web pages do not hesitate. Everything about this is a great upgrade, for about the same money as a Samsung with 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and no dock. There was no contest in this.I have not been able to get the dock to connect, but if I were to get it to work, it would only be used for speakers and not for Alexa. Professional reviewers talk about the weak sound, but this sound has more weight on it and great clarity. I used to listen only through the headphones, but on this one, I prefer listening through the speakers! I cannot verify if Atmos does anything because my ceilings are high, so I doubt if anything bounces, but the 4 speakers increase the power of the sound.Given the price over something comparable or the same thing in other stores - this is a steal! Don't hesitate. Don't think about it. Just make the move!

A modern tablet should surely be able to handle being set up to more than just one.I also cannot find a recycle bin to find things if I accidentally delete them.
