I currently own a Samsung A7 Lite. Which was about the same price as the Lenovo Tab M9 (when the M9 is not on sale). The Samsung tablet is barely usable. Exceptionally slow. The Tab M9 is NOT that! I expected it to be a bit better than the Samsung based on the specifications but not what it delivers! I highly recommend this tablet if you are looking for a device to use as an eReader or news browsing device. Also good for Microsoft Teams Calls, Google Meet and Skype. Excellent audio quality with the two speakers. I carry this tablet with me to all my meetings. I wish Spigen (my favourite case manufacturer) had a case for it. I found one on Amazon that looks good. I got this device on sale, but I would not hesitate to pay full price. It has a SD card reader which is ... MoreI currently own a Samsung A7 Lite. I'm now considering a Lenovo/Motorola phone as my next device when it comes time to replace given how good the Tab M9 is.

I had previously purchased a Samsung tablet with an EMEA regional setting where the Android security update was a flaw so could not use it for work (VPN connection). This Lenovo tablet is exactly what I was looking for since you can upgrade to Android 13 which has the latest security update for Canada. Buying it directly from Lenovo was very easy and I appreciated the delivery option to request signature at delivery which is key due to thefts. After one month of using the tablet it's honestly the best technology ROI in many years. Battery is solid for one weeks of use in the commute (10 hours) and there are many features to reduce energy consumption.I also had purchased the matching Lenovo case to protect the tablet and unfortunately returned it due to the limited robustness/quality. Tablets are like a cellphone where the case can make or break your investment, so I got something more robust elsewhere for less.Note: this item was purchased during a promotion and though there is a more recent version it's the 9 inch screen size that was key for commuting. If you are using the tablet at home or in the plane only it could be worth buying the 10 inch model. Kids don't need a larger screen since their hands are smaller!

The M9 is a great size to have. Really light, looks good and well made. The M9 is about the same weight as the M8. Probably use it for traveling the most.It is really good because Lenovo does not put a lot of bloatware that can bog down the device and take up memory. I bought the higher priced one with the 3gb of ram and handles everything very well what I need it for. I just use it to surf the internet, listen to music, and watch the occasional video.I have the M8 which has been excellent and use it every day, but sometimes you want a little bigger screen. I found the M10 a little too big and heavy to hold in your hand like a book, but the M10 is good if you use more like a laptop. I do wish Lenovo brought back the M8 Yoga tablet (and perhaps M9 Yoga) which was my favorite tablet of all time because it had a great handle to hold the tablet easily and comfortably for long durations. Also, the battery lasted a long time. The only issue I have found is not with Lenovo M9, but the Android 13. If you choose the standard 3-button navigation, Android 13 adds a taskbar at the bottom that you can't remove it. It also puts the 3-button navigation to the side. On top of that, you can't see the 3-buttons in light mode theme. You have to choose dark-mode theme for the buttons to appear. It is an annoyance for sure. Hopefully an Android 13 update allows removal of the taskbar in the future.
Not suitable for 55 year old daily use. This should be clearly described as 8 or under. First zooming in on anything is not useful, as it only distorts the image further. I have to look things up on other devices to see images. Secondly seems there is limitations on certain apps because it thinks I'm a child user, no setting to access or change. Most annoying is DURA SPEED APP RESTRICTIONS. This M9 says this can be customized for your uses ... That is NOT TRUE AT ALL. Toggling off completely has no effect on duraspeed rRESTRICTING YOUR MOST USED APPS. So if you use browser, Amazon, Walmart, Gmail only... It will restrict them anyway delaying notifications and stuff. Also it only displays all notifications when I pick it up only. Also there's no support for anything ... I've gone through a few tablets, recently, trying to get one that's the right fit for me and I've finally hit the bullseye. Not only is this little Lenny the perfect size (I was originally looking at an iPad Mini), the specs are very competitive. I'm not going to go into build details because you can go to the product page for that, but I will say that, until I got this one, I hadn't used a tablet that didn't leave me somewhat frustrated by sluggish performance and lackluster imaging. The Lenny isn't perfect, but it certainly tops similar tablets from Samsung and, yes, Apple. I love the fact that I can pop a 256GB mini-SD card in this thing and have oodles of storage without paying a premium for it. So, what do I use this Lenny for? Well, so far I'm spending most of ... Well, so far I'm spending most of my time streaming videos, movies, and music and I haven't been disappointed in any way. I don't really play games so I'm not going to rate that experience, but for everything else this tablet has been a blast to use. I should mention that I got my Lenny through a promotion at work so the price was very good - less than any of the nearest competitors. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have any problem paying full price for it. Obviously, YMMV, but my experience has been nothing but positive.
I bought this tablet exclusively to watch videos while I'm either doing my dishes, or even taking a shower. I love it has some Background Music feature that you can turn on very easily from the status bar.At first, it didn't feel like the screen was all that great, but truthfully, on a daily basis, this does not make a difference for me. Of course it doesn't have the same screen as a laptop, but I bought it for streaming videos, and I'm 100% satisfied for this purpose, so, the screen quality is definitely acceptable.I'm so satisfied with this purchase that I'm actually buying 3 more of them to gift to my family members. So I was initially wanting something to replace my Amazon Fire Tablet that was over a decade old. Yes I like to read books, but those Fire tablets seem to be limited especially with the app store. I wanted something more versatile that would be good to use for social media so I can stop using my phone in the evenings. So I decided to give this a try based on price and reviews. What a product, very impressed with this. I caught it on sale which made it even better, but it feels high quality and works pretty dang good considering the budget price range. I never expected to play games on this, but one day I was sick and wanted something to entertain my brain while I was laying in bed so I gambled by getting a game thinking the hardware wouldn't be powerful enough for ... Well I was wrong, and now I'm addicted to this game.Battery life is great, never even gone less than half way down in a full day of usage, I like how its not too big like the other tablets that are 10"+, and like I said feels high quality. You'll get some lag and slowness here and there but if you are casually using it you won't notice much of it.I definitely recommend this product.
I've owned a few tablets in timeline and I seemed to lean towards the 7 or 8 inch types. My few 10 inch tablets just seemed like they were too large to take on trips or use a ebook reader when i'm out and about with it. So when I saw a 9 inch tablet I thought this may be my 'Goldielocks' device for my 70th Birthday. So far it is, with adjustments. I can't say I like the default launcher much. I spent some time getting used to it and just found it awkward. So now I'm exploring 3rd party launchers to make it work like I'm used to. Android will at least allow me make custom changes to my device, which I appreciate. The display is pretty good for me and battery life is great. I did get the Lenovo M9 case because I couldn't tell what type of glass was included and added a screen protector as well. Performance for my use it excellent as I read more than watch videos with forays into streaming music. The speakers work well enougn but I didn't plan on replacing me stereo system with this. Bluetooth streaming works well with external headphones or speaker. Overall as a general purpose device, it works very well for my purposes. I did find that closing the cover does not put the tablet to sleep, which has caused my battery to drain some when I forget to manually turn it off. The boot time is acceptable for a tablet in this price range. So yes I'm very happy with this and plan to wear it out like the others I've owned, some of which are still working as weather forecasting displays.
I purchased this to upgrade my 10 year old from a fire tablet. He likes the increased screen size, increased battery life, and increased touch screen responsiveness and speed. The important things to him are no ads, fast tap reaction, no crashing, and no powering down, so this checks all the boxes. You can add a microSD card (up to 2 TB I think) for certain app and movie storage (I store movies for power/internet outages). It has face unlock as well as pin, typical android gestures. You can also install the amazon app store so he could bring over his purchased games from Amazon. You can pair bluetooth keyboards, controllers, stream to wireless displays as is typical with Android. He also likes the lightly textured back. Less slippery than a smooth back but less ... (He found te design too hard to open and not good for storing the tablet after opening...yeah, my kid is weird). I think as long as you are realistic about what you need, you will be happy. If you need a data plan or gps mapping, than you need something with a sim slot. If you want an Apple IOS, then you need an IPAD, if you want top of the line, why are you looking at a budget device, you need to pay more than $100 for top of the line. It is a very solid and stable budget tablet running on WIFI and Android.
