I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. The delivery was quick, it was easy to set up, and it's super fast (even with tons of tabs open as well as a bunch of programs). For comparison, my last laptop would lag severely whenever I opened a few programs or had a lot of tabs open. I think how fast this laptop is has to do with the SSD hard drive. I compared it to an HDD and this Lenovo was like lightening. Logging in/accessing private websites is super fast and safe with the Windows Hello feature. The video quality/sound is great. If the sound isn't loud enough you can easily connect a mic via USB or Bluetooth. It's also great for streaming videos, Netflix, etc. The battery lasts for a few hours, but it charges quick. I ordered this laptop on tax free weekend in my state (Aug 12), hoping to get it before I left home on Aug 27th. It "guaranteed" delivery within 6 or so days, but despite having it in stock Lenovo didn't mail it for weeks, only sending it after several phone calls. Eventually, it arrived the day after I left, and I had to organize an odd and circuitous route to eventually get it. Now, I have received it. And I have to say, I really don't have many problems with the actual device! It has great speed, good camera quality, the keys are nice and all work. It's generally a really good computer. My only complaint about the device itself is its low battery life, though that may just be because the only laptop I'd used for the past four years was a chromebook and the ... Anyway, great computer. If I was rating only the device, it would be 9/10. But the poor delivery and service knocks it down a lot.

Awesome! Portable in size, weight and packed with power! I went from a large work station to this and I have been very happy up to this point.I thought I was purchasing this with a touch screen but it is not touch screen which is a slight let down but the large mouse really helps.I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad at first but I decided against that and returned it. After purchasing the Thinkpad I'm glad I made the decision to go with this unit, it is a Major Upgraded! The Ideapad had the same specs with the addition of a touch screen, but the Thinkpad feels like a tougher business class machine.

My previous laptops were a Mac and a ChromeBook. I'm not thrilled at all with this Lenovo. The audio quality and the camera are dreadful... when I spoke with the Customer Service rep to help me choose a laptop, I said that I use it primarily for Zoom meetings, for some documents, and internet use. Having good quality audio and camera is important to me, and this laptop sucks in this regard. I also detest the number of ads that come up, and these extras associated with the browser which I cannot get rid of unless I'm a techy. I detest it that as soon as I open the laptop, there's a screen that's basically 3 ads, which I cannot remove. I would never get another Lenovo and I wouldn't recommend it. I heard the good thing about this laptop is that it's not easily broken. ... MoreMy previous laptops were a Mac and a ChromeBook. I'm not thrilled at all with this Lenovo. The Thinkpad E16 exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The sleek design caught my eye, but its performance is what truly shines. The i7 processor ensures smooth multitasking, and the vibrant display enhances the viewing experience. The battery life is impressive for a 16" device. The keyboard is comfortable, making typing a breeze, and the touchpad is responsive. Additionally, the fast SSD storage ensures quick boot times and seamless file access. E16 is a perfect blend of style and substance, delivering a reliable and enjoyable computing experience. Highly recommended!
This is a fantastic device. However, I've had issues that prevent it from being perfect. My device arrived with a decent coil whine issue that could be audible with fans and speakers in the background. The middle button on the track pad was subpar and didn't always register even if it was fully actuated. To address both, I first tried to create a repair ticket. What I didn't know is that 1) The device was currently eligible for exchange rather than the repair process 2) That repair ticket would never be answered or followed up on. After 10 days of waiting, I tried Lenovo's email technical support. There, after a few days of back and forths, they told me to try their exchange process, and I tried it by contacting their after-sales support. They told me I was ... MoreThis is a fantastic device. After 10 days of waiting, I tried Lenovo's email technical support. There, after a few days of back and forths, they told me to try their exchange process, and I tried it by contacting their after-sales support. They told me I was ineligible for the exchange because it had been more than 30 days since the invoice period. Given that I had wasted 10 days on their phantom repair process, this was frustrating. As an alternative, I had the device sent to the repair depot instead. All things considered, they had my device back in my hands in one and a half weeks, with UPS delays accounting for 1/3rd of that time. When I got it back, I confirmed both the motherboard and trackpad were swapped, and I was mildy disappointed that the issues remained. It seems that coil whine and a poor middle button might be common. Thankfully, it slightly better now.Compared to the E560, the previous E series Thinkpad that I had, the build quality of the E14 is far superior. The keyboard is fantastic and great to type on.The Ryzen chip is snappy. The SSD is faster. The amount of IO is fine. Battery life is fair, although I wish they offered the 57 whr version here. One thing I would like to see in future devices is putting all the IO on separate boards for longevity and durability. If the USB C charging port fails, you either have to resolder or replace the whole motherboard (quite expensive). Even Apple puts IO on separate boards, and they detest making repair easy.Overall, this device is a great value (~560$ CAD before tax as I bought it during Cyber Monday). I hope it continues to prove itself in years to come.
I've been using this for work for about a month now. I came from a 5 year old ideapad gaming laptop prior to this. I'm a self contractor who works from home with the ocasional travel and use it mostly for working in excel sheets in my line of work. It's a few leaps better than my old ideapad. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy the hinge is when opening/closing the lid. Overall quality seems very good, especially when purchased on a sale. A client of mine commented on how crisp my camera is on this. I have the best camera quality now in my group meetings. The only complaint I have is with the battery life. I've been getting about 4 - 4.5hours on a charge working in spreadhseets and online browsing. While I'm plugged in 99% of my time I wish this machine had the ... My experience in ordering the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 was smooth. The unit arrived in a single box, which did not make me happy. Luckily, there was no damage. The laptop is good, but not excellent as described. It is loaded with adware, cumbersome prompts, and idiosyncratic hiccups, such as the far too sensitive touch screen which invariably screws things up. For a laptop targeting business people like me, this is inexcusable. I am hoping that with time I will not be too bothered with these problems. Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion.
I purchased this for my personal use. I know the performance of Lenovo as this is also used by my employer. I'm happy with my purchase as it was on Labor Day Sale. I purchased it directly from Lenovo (it was much cheaper than what is sold on retail stores). The specs are perfect (Intel processer, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD). It can startup in less than 30 secs. I use the fingerprint scanner in logging in. Display is decent. I love the new Office 11 Pro that comes with it. It is light weight and slim. The specs that came with it are perfect, my machine is fast and I am satisfied.
Ambivalent feelings!Bought without OS to run it with Ubuntu (Sept 2024).OS works great on it as for specs. It turns out a decent machine to use for office work/home use. Decent size, light weight.I would give it 5 star with pleasure, but I can't get microphone to work... System doesn't recognise it. Headset one works great though. Didn't have that problem with my old Lenovo laptop. (I admit I'm no IT wizz but until now I managed to work out all ubuntu issues on my PCs for over 10 years - this time I hit the wall).I made one mistake: upgraded the case to aluminium! Feels great but... Every time I touch it I leave my fingerprints, so endless wiping...Very quick delivery, about a week from China (from order).I love the idea that customer can change the components ... Lenovo.com. I created an account, put my machine together online to my liking, no problem. Made a payment, order went through and then... Few minutes later I went to access Lenovo's website and this is what I saw:"Access Denied. You don't have permission to access www.lenovo.com/us/en/" on this server."My heart stopped! Did I just pay £800 to some scam? As it turns out I needed to restart my router (foun the solution onlie). Still don't know why it happened, so I guess 3 stars, tops, for Lenovo.com
