I worked in state government for 20 years and we were all assigned Lenovo think pads. Over the years, this has been the best and most user-friendly laptop I have used. Because of that history, when purchasing a local business and realizing that the laptops were over 10 years old, I knew I needed to get a new laptop as much of my work is report writing, research, emails and skype meetings. I went to the Lenovo site and realized that the cost was higher than I expected. Despite this, large amounts of research led me back to the Lenovo site where I was torn between this machine and the carbon machine, both of which were on sale. I went with this ThinkPad T14s and could not be more thrilled. My IT friend synced it to my business, and I am beyond satisfied. The touch pad is responsive, the keys are placed so I am able to type fast with minimal typos. I love the added feature of the fingerprint ID as my work is confidential and this is always a concern when carrying around equipment from work to home. It's fast, responsive with a clear picture and I have not gotten headaches despite toiling for hours. It's small but a powerhouse. I have not used the camera yet, so cannot speak to that, but I have no doubt it will be great. I am a huge fan of Lenovo in general and their laptops cannot be beat. The longevity of the product and ease of use makes Lenovo my go to brand and is well worth the investment. If you get lucky enough to get one on sale as I did, run, don't walk to the checkout button. Go for it.

This is a great machine! Purchased in July 2022. 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 16 GB RAM 512 GB SSD The battery life is great and it is much slimmer than my older T470. This isn't the most recent generation of Intel processor, but it does the trick. Plus side is that many of the bugs that come with new processors have been worked out. It is quick and very reliable. Fast startup. Keyboard is the classic ThinkPad experience; which I love! The fan is fairly quiet and isn't worse than I expected. Of course, the fan turns on periodically depending on what you're doing with the device, but that's normal. I am very impressed with the size and weight of this machine! So portable. This is so nice to use, it's making me want to be more productive with my work!

I purchased this ThinkPad on clearance. I was looking for a business class machine for personal use that would be durable and have sufficient graphics capacity for medium duty photo editing. The clearance website was reasonably easy to navigate, though the number of configurations and the names given to them was a little tough to sort through. The sales portal was fine. Shipping was fast and included good information on delivery progress. Set up was smooth, though printed manuals are a thing of the distant past. The only reason for the "4" rating is that it is far to early to know if this device will be as durable as other Lenovo products that my family members and I have owned.

This computer is solid machine. The battery last me through the school day and into the afternoon with barely a fuss. Its quite for when its idly answering emails or filing out word documents. Setting up the computer, after a few weeks of having it, was the only time I heard the fans hissing and spinning very fast. So its definitely more than capable to handle some intermediate work without a sound. With more intense workload such as opening up half a dozen hundred page word docs the computer handled extremely smoothly with barely a second to load. If you are considering this as a school computer than its more than capable of handling your workload and saving to buy a newer version likely isn't necessary for most people looking for a fantastic work and school laptop.
This is a nice small and light laptop. My major complaint is the lack of ports and the lack of information on the specific ports that were included with each model. I purchased this laptop at a significant discount and it was well worth the price. I'm not sure if it is worth the full listed retail price. The battery is currently lasting about 6 hours or more with mostly web browsing and light office work (Word, Excel, Outlook). Although the laptop supports Ethernet, there is not a normal RJ45 port and there was no option when ordering to add one on. There is a port to add a dock or something to be able to use Ethernet with the laptop, but I haven't yet been able to figure out which docks or connectors will best fit my needs.
After years of living without a laptop, I decided it was time again. Although I'm not a Road Warrior, I like high quality tools which will be dependable and serve me a long time. The ThinkPad rose to the top in my research, and it hasn't disappointed. Getting one was the challenge, but after finally speaking to a true professional in the sales department, I learned that I could get EXACTY what I wanted, just with an aluminum case instead of carbon. As a bonus, I got the next generation processor! This is a SWEET laptop. I'm an amputee, so weight is a consideration and this is easy for me to carry on crutches. I've been buying Lenovo laptops for my business for 15+ years. With the exception of my X1 Yoga, they've all been terrific and the T14s is no exception. The screen in crisp, 40GB RAM means I can run my development environment, Docker containers, and pretty much anything I want without impacting performance. The keyboard has terrific touch - which is the primary reason I choose Lenovo over other brands. The touchpad is responsive, unlike my X1 Yoga. I travel internationally frequently and the T14s is well built and light enough even with the power brick. Two days after I placed my order, Lenovo was selling the identical laptop for about $140 less. I contacted customer support, sent in the necessary information, and I've heard nothing back in weeks. Bottom line - the T14s is a solid machine, under 3 lbs, good display, good performance, and a good value even before the price match.
I’m pretty old so I had a lifetime of laptops in one form or another. My first computer was an IBM Thinkpad that I had to purchase for school. I put that poor thing through hell hauling it from class to class and in and out of my backpack. I continued to use it through grad school and then I decided that it earned its retirement. I had a friend that talked me into an HP so I used it for a few years but I always missed the red ball in the center of the keyboard. I really grew accustomed to that method of input and I missed it throughout the period of the next two HP’s. When I started teaching at the university, I was given another Thinkpad. This time it was a Lenova and I had my red ball back! I have been using them exclusively for about 25 years now. I don’t know why I ever bought anything else but all through my professional years the Lenova Thinpads have been with me through it all and although my hands are a bit more shaky, the red ball is still king.
The T14 gen 2 is the perfect size and weight for me. Not too strong and heavy but not too light and fragile. The anti glare screen allows you to work outdoors and the backlit keyboard allows you to work inside with the lights off. The touch pad is so smooth and is easy to use. It's fast and the case surface feels good. I ride my bike to work every day and I think this laptop will handle the vibrations better than others. I will keep you posted. ThinkPads are rugged. When I was in sales we all had them and they lasted forever on the road. I left that company and purchased cheaper lighter laptops. Screens cracked and hinges broke even though they were in my padded bike bag. I decided to go back to strong ThinkPads and purchased the ThinkPad E495 14 first. Screens cracked and hinges broke even though they were in my padded bike bag. I decided to go back to strong ThinkPads and purchased the ThinkPad E495 14 first. It was too heavy, the screen too dark and the edges a bit too sharp. Sure you could probably use it for homeplate in baseball and it would keep working but it was a bit too rugged. I returned it and when with the T14 and love it. it is much more sturdy than my old dell and hp laptops but lighter and leaner than some entry level ThinkPads. Only complaint so far is I wish the screen would get a bit brighter outdoors but it is way better than the E495 screen
This laptop purchased was to replace an existing ThinkPad T430s (only reason I replaced my old one was battery life and I wore out the tracker pad) that I have used for years. I wanted to get something that was similar to what I had and still have the same rugged material. It took a bit to get someone that knew what had replaced the old T430s but you will not be disappointed. This laptop is half the size and weight of the old one but has a very similar feel and look. It also does not get as warm as my old laptop did when I use it for a couple of hours, it is responsive and just as easy to navigate and use. I do not regret taking the time to purchase and find exactly what I was looking for. By far the best money I have spent and I do not regret it at all.
