Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock - Docking Station
A platform into which you can install a portable computer. The docking station typically contains slots for expansion cards, bays for storage devices, and I/O connectors for peripheral devices, such as printers and monitors. Once inserted in a docking station, the portable computer essentially becomes a desktop model computer. Most importantly, the same data is accessible in both modes because it resides on the portable computer’s drives. The idea behind docking stations is to let you simultaneously enjoy the expansion possibilities of desktop model computers with the portability of notebook computers. In addition, the docking station enables you to use a full-size keyboard and monitor when you’re not traveling.

USB connects and disconnects at random. Windows reports that devices are not recognised. When backing up to an external USB hard drive plugged into the Dock, the computer would have all sorts of problems. Mouse would stop working (and need disconnecting and reconnecting) or pause every few seconds. Keyboard wouldn't respond or repeat keys. Now DisplayPort is working again, and I'm praying it stays that way. But it won't.If I plug everything into the laptop directly, or a USB-C adapter I have, it all works fine with none of the above issues. So it's not my peripherals, ... I invested in this Dockstation having a Lenovo laptop, thinking it would be more performant and stable than a basic £30 USB C dock.... well trouble started as soon as I plugged it. Laptop crashed senselessly thereafter - the only time the laptop doesnt crash is when I am travelling, hence not connected to it. Not worth the money... disappointing from Lenovo (like their aftersales).

only one cable connecting the laptop with other devices. I don't need to use the original laptop power adapter.
