This laptop has completely fallen short of my expectations. For a Ryzen 7 with 16 GB of RAM, it should be lightning quick, but I often have to wait while it moves slowly. But the main reason I'm giving it only 3 stars is because at least once a day the computer shuts down without warning. It also drops the Wifi all the time. I'm pretty sure I got a lemon, and I'm really upset because I'm out of the return window.

The hardware is excellent. Light and powerful with the ability to extend Ram and a second m.2 slot for future needs. However, Windows update pushed a bios firmware update that more than doubled the boot time. Just the time it takes for the lenovo bios image to load went up to 30 seconds. No sure what lenovo is doing here but this alone is ruining my experience, as in one occasion it actually got stuck on the boot screen. Contacted support and was told it's normal, so I really hope lenovo fixes this ASAP.

I bought this for staff to use in my office. I was surprised how comfortable the keyboard was to type on and I love that the numpad is normal sized, and not the crunched up narrower version that some competing brands offer. The keyboard has good travel and good response. The 16" screen is a great size to multitask on. It's bright enough but I still wish it was even brighter. It has a slight matte finish.

Great laptop for the price. I bought without an OS so saved me money. It runs fast, quiet and is lightweight. I installed Ubuntu 24.04 on it in less than 5 minutes and everything works fine - even the fingerprint reader on the power switch!Only gripe is that the microphones don't seem to work that well - they are usable but not great according to those on the other end of my Google Meet calls etc...
Overall a really solid PC. I upgraded from a smaller flip-screen laptop. For travel productivity is great having the full sized keyboard with number pad and larger screen. The PC is a big for working while in an airline seat, but doable. I plan to be doing more with it while in the airport or hotel and this is a much better option than my small laptop. The improved tech over my other la top is great. I do like the metal top skin.
I was impressed by the specs I could get for the price and I needed a powerful machine for working, although there are some coms that made me consider returning it:- the fan is very loud, I managed to turn it down from the BIOS settings to a reasonable noise- the screen is odd it's like orangy, not very bright, my 5 years old HP envy has a better screen. I would not use it for design work.- the webcam has a terrible exposure, I had to reconfigure the entire room just to have a decent light for the webcam to work otherwise my face would be completely black on video calls. All in all I think I'll keep it as a laptop for work simply because of the amount of power I get from it and the keyboard is nice for me, but I'm not fond of this machine
From the moment I opened the box, I loved it. From the sleek design to the backlit keyboard with number pad, it is a thing of beauty. I was a bit concerned that the larger size would be too heavy for a daily commute, but it isn't much different than the 14" screen size. The processing speed is more than sufficient for work and it is perfect for personal use as well. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and feel it is well worth the price I paid!
The laptop is very light for it's size and performance class. if configured properly, the price to performance ratio is unbeatable. Make sure you get the AMD version to ensure you don't experience device failures, The construction is great, almost full metal body construction as well. Webcam is good quality. battery life is also good capacity if configured properly.
This may not be a fair comparison. When I retired in 2015 I was able to obtain my work laptop which is a 2011 ThinkPad. It has Windows 7 on it. This laptop was hauled all over the US for 4 years before It has now worked an additional 9 years. The only problem is that some of the Windows 7 associate programs have met life end and no longer supported. I lost some things in a program due to that. This old one can't load Windows 11 so it was time to make a move. Due to the fact this one has been so good and dependable, why buy something else???? The new one is meeting all my expectations and more than I realized I was getting.Thank YouJerry Cogburn
I bought this for personal use - streaming, multitasking, some lightweight games - and wanted something very quiet. It works well for that purpose so far.My major complaint would be that sometimes the fingerprint reader just decides not to respond, which isn't great straight out of the box. More minor complaints are preferences - I don't like that keyboard backlight turns off if you haven't typed for a while, and that it doesn't have a play/pause button (yes, you can use the spacebar but that doesn't work if I don't have the window or tab open)
