Happy to report that it has standby time rivaling the M3 MacBook Air I recently parted ways with.Even with the lowest specced Snapdragon X Elite chip, performance has been impressive. It's very speedy: nothing I have ever done on it has slowed it down noticeably. Opening it from sleep, it is pretty much instantly ready to resume whatever you were doing. App compatibility for my purposes has been great: the only program I use that doesn't have an official ARM version yet is Tidal. I can imagine people needing specialized programs might have more trouble with compatibility so if you have specific programs you absolutely need to be able to use do your research or stick with Intel or AMD for now.In summary: I am extremely satisfied with this laptop and highly recommend it if your use cases are similar to mine. I feel comfortable saying it is the some of the best bang for your buck you will get in a general use laptop. Strong work Lenovo!

The AI background blurring affect works as intended and does a great job with keeping you in focus.Now the star of the show for this laptop (besides its overall built) is the Snapdragon processor and so far I like what I see. The Slim 7x is able to keep 30+ chrome tabs open (with chrome running in emulation) and the CPU usage is below 4% with all of the tabs active. I was blown away with the battery life when compared to other windows machines when it came to regular task (browsing/videos/Microsoft suite). Over all I did have chrome restart/crash on me twice but I did not experience any slow downs at any point. The Snapdragon X elite is a great chip and can handle most everyday task without issue. I tried to run a few games on the Slim 7x and lets just say its not for gaming, I have a feeling the issue has to do with windows. The reason I say this is I played a few games on it and did not notice the GPU/CPU/NPU spike at all, the only thing that happened was most of the ram was used.I found 4 things that I did not like about the laptop which I feel need to be changed to make this an absolute must have.1. Fingerprint magnet. No matter where you touch this laptop you will leave fingerprints.2. GPU: This needs an upgrade to help play games (I am speaking of games which are running in emulation)3. Speakers: The speakers are not loud enough, now I get most people aren’t going to use for music without speakers but the sound does leave me wanting more.4. Ports: There are only 3 ports on this laptop which means dongles…..Lenovo has created a great device, easily one of the best regardless of your OS preference or price. There is little to no bloatware and the small touches Lenovo has done , smaller palm rest (finally my watch isn’t scraping and making that horrible noise) , make this an absolutely wonderful device. Compared to all of the other X Elite laptops this is the one with the least sacrifices and the most premium in the windows lineup. Now everyone will try to compare this to Apple and it is very similar to the Macbook pro launch, great built with amazing battery life. Just like the Macbook M1 the native apps work and there is no fan noise at all. I would say the native apps for windows work better than the native apps for the M1 on initial launch, there is no lag to launching programs and having 30+ tabs open without heating up or crashing is great. Now don’t get me wrong the emulation isn’t perfect and there is work to be done but if this is the worst windows on arm is going to be than I am excited to see where windows on ARM will be in 3 months.

I've had it for just over a week, and so far so good, with a couple minor issues.First the good, with the screen brightness turned one step up from the lowest, it is still very easily read. The touch pad is finicky, and will often close or minimize windows without any attempt to do so (this mostly happens with multi-finger control). Anything other than silver or off white is going to show fingerprints, and this dark blue excels in printing. CoPilot stinks and gets in your way, UNINSTALL IT.The worst part about buying bleeding edge is seldom are they ready for Linux, but Qualcomm is working on it, so De-Windows your laptop, remove all of the seemingly countless reporting and personal tracking functions (easy to follow guides on YouTube), force stop ALL Analytics, and turn off auto updates, because Windows will reset everything you've turned off, because you're nothing but an advertising target for Microsoft, remove the bloat AV software because it also tracks your digital footprint, install REVO Uninstaller because Windows uninstaller will not remove registry entries for theirs's or others bloat ware.As soon as Zorin or Mint releases a Snapdragon X Elite compatible Linux distro, instantly convert this bad boy and your battery life will increase by 20-35%.

I noticed a weird sound whenever I lifted it, which turned out to be caused by a bent protective plastic cover near the SSD. Fortunately, I was able to fix it easily since the back cover is removable. Just four screws and some prying with iFixit plastic tool. However, the biggest dealbreaker for me is the lack of Linux support. I had hoped to install Ubuntu or another Linux distro for development work, but support has been delayed for what looks like another six months. It was so promising for that purpose.In conclusion, if you're primarily using web apps, doing some office work with 365 apps, and watching movies or TV shows—especially anime—then definitely grab this when you see a good deal. It will serve you well.

I'm knit picking here. I could hear the fans to be loud even streaming 4K content and running da vinci side by side. It was luke warm but still could touch easily touch the F1-F12 row keys. Couldn't pay me to do that with modern windows ultrabooks/ 2 in 1's.This is great for folks who are doing everyday web browsing, Netflix, word documents, power points. This is not good for engineers, product, web teams deploying da vinci, etc. Maybe in a few months it might be closer towards Apple after a few software tweaks. But for the price it's bang for buck. I'll personally be deploying the Surface Pro Laptop and Samsung Edge 4's to my end users because of build quality and the multithread freq.

The key board felt okay, not the best, but the bleeding lights from underneath the keys is not pleasing in the dark, the power button is in a horrible position, and the electronic camera blocker is also not good, I prefer an actual cover over the camera. The speed of the laptop is good, snappy. No heat no fan noise that I could detect. Battery life is better than intel laptops, but not as good as it is being siad, we seen better on current tablets. The problem is the OLED display on these laptops is not good for watching movies. The OLED display is not color calibrated, everything looks yellow, redish and movies don't look sharp. And here comes Windows and its drivers saga, somehow in one of the powerdown shut off, the computer did an update that downloaded a driver and color management software XRITE without my authorization, I was excited and surprised, but it didn't give me any way to adjust the colors, only the option to choose different ICC profiles which didn't help the situation. I also try the windows own color calibration with no sucess either. No matter what I did, skin colors never looked natural. Apple still king when it comes to well calibrated display on all their devices out of the box with no efforts on my part. By the way, I also tried the ASUS PZ13 Proart and the Samsung Book Edge 4, they all use the same snapdragon ship, and they all share the same OLED panel display with the same situation, very yellow, very red bias colors and no way to adjust it.
Bottom line up front: If you use laptops for Microsoft applications, web browsing, email, video conferencing and content consumption, you should definitely buy this laptop and you will not regret it.This is hands down the best laptop I've ever owned. I love having keys with longer key travel and Lenovo utilized their longer key travel keyboard in this design. It has made this a joy to type on. I've read criticisms about this having a "diving board" style trackpad rather than haptic one, but the quality is good and I don't mind the old school tech for trackpads.Overall, the battery life has been incredible; not as insanely long as advertised but by far the longest lasting battery life I've ever had in a Windows laptop. For my use and as a nice bonus there is minimal drain on the battery when it's in sleep mode.One of the biggest selling points for me was the OLED screen. It is nothing short of incredible and I'm usually picky about image quality on computer screens. I don't see this mentioned a lot, but I am prone to the "screen door" effect on computer screens that makes certain OLED touchscreens (usually those that have pen support due to an additional screen layer necessary for pen use) appear grainy when looking at white backgrounds such as Word documents or webpages. When it exists and you can tell, it's awful and you can't un-see it. Though this is a touchscreen, it does not provide pen support to my knowledge, and thus does not appear grainy as if looking through a screen door. I also love that the screen is 14.5" and has a bit more viewing space than a typical 14" laptop without increasing the chassis size by much at all.It is lightweight but sturdy and super easy to transport. Definitely has a premium build quality. I've taken this on a few flights already and it's been great. It also generally just looks fantastic in the cosmic blue. It does pick up a ton of fingerprints, but due to the surface material it cleans up perfectly with some lens cleaner and microfiber cloth.My ONLY complaint about this laptop, which is not a big deal, is the lack of legacy ports like USB-A or a headphone/microphone jack. Those issues are negated by using USB-C adaptors, which I've done and adjusted to. However, I do often use 3.5mm jack wired headphones as well as a wireless keyboard/mouse combo that has a USB-A dongle. As I said though, it's only slightly annoying to have to use the adaptors and I've gotten used to it at this point.I can't recommend this laptop enough for everyday use if you're like me and want a solid, dependable and overall snappy performing machine for basic tasks. The Snapdragon processor has delivered a huge benefit to batter conscious light task users. Lenovo has absolutely nailed it with this laptop and done a huge service to Windows users.

It is bugs and glitches like this that made me switch to Mac years ago.As much as I loved the Slim 7x, I just couldn't go back to Microsoft Windows. If you love Windows then no offence, we all have our preferences but for this Mac user I just couldn't tollerate Windows and the lack of iPhone support that I rely on everyday. I still think the Slim 7x was a really great computer and if it ran macOS I would still be using it.So my 5 star rating is for the laptop itself but the downfall for me was Windows.
