This is a pretty good tablet who think something 8" or larger is too big for their needs and yet needs something larger than the largest phone screens. I have an 8" tablet and sometimes it feels bulky when I take it out to places like during traveling or at a restaurant while eating. There's very minimal bloatware so it doesn't feel like anything that is installed is taking up a lot of space. And I'm actually using their entertainment center app, which combines any such entertainment apps (Amazon Video, YouTube, Movies Anywhere, etc.) into one spot to make it easier to view your content from. I didn't give it a full five stars because this tablet doesn't appear to be compatible with ANT+ apps, or apps that connect to health devices like your fitness watch or heart ... It does look good when the service you're watching content through offers HD/UHD quality despite screen size. Recommended.

This Tab M9 is the closest I could find which makes me wonder about the state of the small tablet market sector. The only aspect that has significantly improved is the price, I paid £225 back in 2018 for my Tab4, I paid £119 for the M9 (I was lucky and found a good deal). I hope this information helps anyone who is looking for a small Android tablet.

I've had my Tab P11 2nd gen tablet for a couple of weeks now and I can safely give it 5 stars based on what I got for the money.The Good: Online ordering was fairly easy and straight forward from Lenovo's website. The tablet was on sale and there were no hidden charges. Communication between me and Lenovo was very good. The tablet itself has a big screen with great resolution. This model comes with an e-pen that, when used, keeps fingerprints off the screen. When the pen nib comes close to the screen, it displays a small dot on the screen making precise screen taps every time. Not every Xbox game is compatible mind you.The Middle: The overall battery life is not bad, but it's not the very best, long life battery. I can get a solid 6 hours out of it generally with medium to heavy usage. Again, this is not a bad battery, it's just not over the top good.The Not So Good: My first tablet was a Lenovo Tab 10 and it's biggest failing was the micro usb port which also charges the tablet. The port itself never fit the cables snuggly and after time the port stopped working. Unfortunately, the type C port on this tablet is the same, whereby the type C cable doesn't feel like it fits in the port securely. When the cable is attached, it seems like the weight of the cable puts a bit of torque on the port. I'm fearful that the same thing will happen to this tablet as my last tablet. I plan to buy a type C usb cable that the cord comes off on a 90 degree angle to reduce that torque. The pen works fine, but I've never found a tutorial on using it. It's not in the very small instruction booklet and I can't find it on my tablet. I think that such an important feature should have better representation and if there is a proper tutorial somewhere, it should stand out better considering I've looked and not found one.
If you want a docking station you need a Gen2, Gen4 is latest but goes back down to the weaker 4 core processor like the Gen2 has. So the Gen3 is worth waiting for stock to come in. It has the better 8 core processor which addressed some of the criticism of the Gen2 being a bit slow in some uses.You can activate the standard Google navigation buttons via the Accessibility menu.Its a robust well made tablet, performance is reasonable for the price and exceptional battery life, both in use or sleeping the rate it runs down is amazingly slow.The display isn't bad, Blacks could be a lot darker for an IPS screen though.Considering it doesn't have a special face recognition camera and has to make do with the low resolution front one, its working surprisingly well ... Its also a pity it doesn't support creating folders in the apps screen so you can group and tidy them. I don't understand people having problems with youtube on the tablet, I watch a LOT on the Firefox browser without any issue. Sky Go works perfectly too.My main use is as a general browser and movie player so the 8 inch format is perfect for personal viewing, sadly decent tablets this size are getting hard to buy so glad Lenovo are still supporting them. For my use the size, exceptional battery and screen resolution of the 3rd Gen is ideal. Very happy with my purchase.

The battery is good, the sound is good, it feels like strong, metal hardware, and I'm glad it uses a USB C for charging.The bad: the graphics are noticeably bad, and one of my lighter games downgrades it's own graphics level because it says the tablet won't support it's higher level (Sorcerer's Arena). It suffers from terrible stutter and lag at almost every moment in use. scrolling through Twitter/web pages/even the built-in menus feel like an absolute chore to navigate. changing from 60hz or 120hz doesn't stop the stuttering and lag although it does stop the screen from looking like a smeared smudged mess like it does in 60hz mode. It also suffers from horrible pixel density, 1200p should be limited to 10-in screens or smaller the pixel density of this makes everything look blurry with jagged hard edges. It really is a shame because at this price range ... Supports a Micro SD card and has a 3.5mm headphone jack for versatility. You also get some light-medium gaming performance (Pokemon Unite, LoL Wild Rift, etc.) with a 7700 mAh battery to last hours. I'm even considering picking up the 64GB version of the Tab M9 since it has the same specs with a smaller battery, less speakers and smaller screen/resolution.
After a shakey start (the tablet would not allow me to transfer / copy my apps/info. from my phone(!) ) & a prompt replacement by Lenovo via the Amazon On-line store(UK) which I used to buy it, the copying / setting-up was done successfully, etc.It has a lovely, bright and natural screen, so movies are a pleasure watch on it.Speed-wise, it's a good average by today's standards and thus quite acceptable, unless you're a major power user and want speeds that the average person would not need. But, if you've used or are using Android, this won't be a major problem.It updates app's very quickly from the Google App Store and very quickly asks to update the operating system to newer versions / updates / etc. So, true to Android, very on the ball.Android "12" is not bad though not a vast or clear improvement on previous versions that I can see (?) But, it works fine.As usual, one has a vast choice of app's to choose from, from Google App Store ("Google Play") so, like any other Android system, one is well catered for.Unless I'm missing something, it's not possible to configure the Mini-SD card to operate as "internal" storage, but, with the internal storage I chose (128GB) I don't not require this option. I STRONGLY urge you to (especially these days...) not choose anything lower than 64GB for on-board (internal...) storage ... simply not enough! It absolutely amazes me that tablets are still being sold with 32GB on-board storage -- bizarre! My advice is to pay the extra and choose 128GB on-board storage. One can use the external MicroSD slot to up the total storage by an additional 256GB -- more than most would need.Sound is good / acceptable, whether for movies / music.I have not measured total battery time usage but it seems to be good and I can see a full day of usage being the norm. So, easily adequate for most situations.Overall, a nice-looking tablet, thin and elegant, and, does the job. Can recommend.
There are shortcomings and poor decision making by Lenovo related to this tablet, enough to make me hold off on buying another Lenovo tablet unless maybe it is a cheap one for my kids.The good: The screen has nice brightness and the color is decent. The speakers reach good volumes. Overall performance is peppy and I do not experience noticeable lag or slowness. The stylus works okay, though I do not use it much.The middle: The response time, 120 Hz refresh rate, or some combination of both can be inconsistent, even if I turn off adaptive refresh rate. The Lenovo UI provides a somewhat stock Android experience, but some aspects of the loader, home screen, and notification bar have strangely limited customization. There are more garbage apps and services preloaded ... There are more garbage apps and services preloaded on the device than I am accustomed to with other manufacturers.The bad:- Every time the tablet boots or there is a profile switch, I am prompted to join the Lenovo User Experience Program even though I have already answered "No Thanks." This is UNACCEPTABLE. I have never had an application or device badger me to enable additional data exchange after I have already provided an answer.- Lenovo's knowledge base makes a strong presentation about providing Android updates for tablets. However, I have owned the tablet for 5 months now and have only received one security update shortly after buying it. Maybe I am spoiled by Google, Samsung, and Amazon, who provide some degree of updates on a more frequent basis.
