LensPen Original Lens Cleaner

I've used Lenspens for decades and cannot recommend them enough. I have multiple cameras and multiple camera bags and there is a Lenspen in each bag at the ready. The brush end is the most useful to me as I am an outdoor photographer where dust and general dirt are always present. The brush makes short work of keeping my lens and filter dust free.

I don't use this as the instructions read. I don't want to risk damaging the lens coatings on my lenses. Instead, I start by using the pen's bristles to remove all dust and particles from lens surfaces, thereby avoiding scratching between my lens cloth and the lens surfaces. I then finish by using the cloth.I also use the pen for removing dust on prints before print competitions at my camera club. This prevents a competitor's having his work scored down because of substances that have landed on the print after he finished it.Since I can't vouch for the safety and utility of the eraser end of the pen, I have not given it a full five stars. (It rates all five for my purposes.)

I have seen these pens around but did not get the opportunity to try one until it was sent as a "free gift" with another product. After checking a few instructional videos, I tried it out on a couple of lenses, but it left small debris all over them. I know the reviewers seem to think they work great, but for me, I'll stick to a blower brush, isopropyl alcohol and microfibe cloths.
