The notebook is that small.As a fan of Leuchtturm, the notebook's quality is top notch. I used this notebook earlier this year for a job, and it did amazingly. It survived drops, falls, and being constantly opened and closed. I used a regular store pen with this notebook, and it worked really well. I was able to use the band surrounding the notebook to hold both the pen and the notebook in case I had to write stuff down. I liked that the pages were numbered, and there's a significant amount of room to write things. While doing the job, I had to write down so much information, to the point where this notebook ended up being my job diary. Over the course of about 6 months, I wrote in it every time I had to go to work. At the end of my job, I ended up using the entire journal. This journal was nice too because I was able to keep all the loose papers given to me in the handy pocket located in the back. It was nice to have all of the information related to my job at my fingertips.If you're someone that likes to write a lot though, this notebook might not be for you. Due to the A6 size, it is pocket size, but it also has significantly less pages than a traditional Lechtturm 1917 A5 journal. If you prefer to collect items and use your journal as a scrapbook, this journal is also not for you, since if it holds anything besides papers, it can get pretty bulky. In my opinion, this journal is good for taking quick notes/quick sketches, and holds up well for everyday use.All in all, this was a perfect pocket journal. I would highly suggest getting this journal if you need a journal that can easily be stashed away, a journal for quick notes, and a durable journal. If I ever needed this journal for another job, I would order this again.

These are the best pocket notebooks I have used. They are durable for daily carry, with mine typically being carried every day for six months to a year until full. The two bookmarks are handy and much appreciated. The elastic band that keeps the book closed is durable. I have never had any failures with these books, and I have been using them for several years. The paper is also fountain pen friendly, and resistant to bleed through from other kinds of pens. I prefer the dotted paper. I will always have these. I also use the larger size books for journals. I do wish they would print the size of the book in the book to make reordering easier. For example, knowing that it's the A6 size would be nice to have printed in the book. The BEST journaling notebooks EVER. My truest art is my writing and I will spend any amount of money to get the best. Thankfully, these notebooks are not expensive - yes, more than some, but worth every penny. The different sizes are so nice too - whether you want a purse-sized book or a large journal. I use Pigma's Micron 05 archival ink, which can be a bit "heavier" than regular pens like a Pilot, which I also use a lot (Pilot Precise Rolling Ball V5). There is no bleed through, but I can see the Micron pen marks on the other side when I use a heavy hand or scratch things out. My ink does not feather, and captures my writings as precise as I want to be. My lined notebooks come with page numbers and a space for the date.You cannot go wrong with this brand. They are sturdy, handy and pretty and I will continue to purchase more in the future.

Fantastic little notebook.This Leuchtturm is my first 'proper' notebook/journal an I'm kicking myself for not trying it out sooner.The book is great quality, the paper is nice and of a good weight. I'm using it for lists, note, ideas and sketches. I've used pencil, pens, fountain pens and ink brushes in the notebook without issue or bleed (just be sure your ink dries before closing if you don't want transfer!).The book can lay flat easily (something other brands don't always get right) which is good for large sketches and the other side not getting in the way.The cover is nice and is holding up well, I've added a large clip to the front to hold a pen and this hasn't damaged or reduced the integrity of the cover. There are two bookmark ribbons which aren't ... This notebook is a perfect companion to my A6 English Tan Notebook cover. The hardcover and binding are top notch. The paper quality is incredible. My handwriting isn't the greatest. When I use this notebook, I'm motivated to write neater! I'm very happy Popov provides these notebooks. I appreciate the one stop shopping for high quality notebooks, that perfectly match my Popov notebook covers.
