AWFUL experience

Truly horrid experience with Levi's buying these jeans. Got a good fit with the cream pair, I paid to get them altered in-store and they were done well! Wore them for the first time to work and they ripped across the butt, so unfortunate. Had to emergency buy a different pair in town and thought I'd go into the Levi's store while I was at it to show them the issue in case they could repair them, this couldn't be done so they swiftly took the jeans and refunded me so I could purchase another pair online. However the new pair was more expensive, so I asked the CS team on Whatsapp if they could honor the previous price as I returned the item to store in the process of emergency getting a pair of jeans to cover my modesty, the CS operative was very rude, told me VERY ...Ā MoreTruly horrid experience with Levi's buying these jeans. So in essence, I returned them 'incorrectly' to a store and now I can't get them at the same price and have to 'await future promotions' even though my jeans are within an exchange period. Not only have I paid money getting them altered (which had I got an exchange pair the store would kindly do for free), but I am now without the jeans and would have to pay more money for the option of getting them again.

Bigger waist than other Ribcage cuts

I wanted to love these, but the waist is absolutely enormous compared to the same size in the Ribcage Straight Ankle jeans (which fit like a glove). Really disappointing because the Ribcage Straight is the only cut in real denim from Levi's that fits my pear figure. I had high hopes that the Ribcage Wide Leg would be the same; they are not.Pros:- 32" length great for me at 5'6"- Love the wide cut- Like the "Far and Wide - Light Wash"Cons:- Prefer the button fly over the zip fly- Inconsistent fit, Waist larger than the Ribcage Straight- Don't think these can be taken in the 3" or so needed without messing with the hardwareOne photo shows the gap, and in the other two photos, I'm pinching the waistband to fit. For reference I'm 5'6", 160lb, in size W31 L32

Barely Freezing (white) is NOT WHITE. It is a natural canvas color. I like the thickness, it’s a medium weight. I never buy Levi’s (only Madewell), but they changed their fits. I’m a 29 in Madewell, bought both 30 and 31 in this Levi’s style. They both fit- the 30 fits well in the waist but very snug in the hips. The 31 is better in the hips (still nice and fitted but not CRAZY TIGHT), but the waist gaps a lot. I’m thinking of keeping the 30, assuming the cotton will give a bit with wear. Only complaint is I wish they had magic pockets!! Where the pocket bag is sewn into the fly.

Great If Your Tall
8 December 2023

I've been getting into wide leg pants, I only have a pair of wide loose jeans by Levi's. I was really hoping they made a come back but they never did. These are a perfect alternative, they are a bit stiffer than my wide loose jeans but overall fit the same. I'm down grading them for two reasons. First reason is that they only come in long sizes. I need a 30-31 inch I got the 32 and it is impossible to wear without it dragging on the floor. I went to Levi's to have them tapered, I thought Red Tab members get free tapering but I was told at the store this is not true. I paid $60 to have all 3 of my new jeans shortened, and that is my second reason I took off a star. Great jeans if your tall otherwise you need to pay additional for them to fit.

Not ideal for curvier bodies, but very cute.
20 December 2023

I always get compliments when I wear these. Im usually a 24, but I got a 25 in these. They were still too tight around the hips and behind at first. I wasn’t sure I’d get them up for a second. They stretched out after one wear to fit better around the hips, but now the waist is gapping in the back a bit. These are definitely meant for very straight bodies. I’m afraid to get a 24 to fit my waist because I don’t think they’ll fit the below the waist. Nevertheless, they’re cute and look great with boots. I’m 5’1ā€, so I usually get short length jeans, but I got the regular and they nearly graze the ground with cowboy boots on, which is what I wanted.

Perfect Denim
10 December 2023

LOVE THIS FIT. My first ribcage pair was the wide-whale corduroy from 3 years ago, I am still wearing them weekly and the 70s vibe is strong. Now I have a couple pair in 32in length and they’re perfect for this 5’3ā€ gal, great with sneakers (they drag just a tad) AND 2.5 inch heels. Love that I don’t have to get them hemmed. Love the 100% cotton rigid denim, sturdy and fitted in all the right places. And my butt looks rad. Love the ankle length version as well, although those have a bit more stretch and button fly, so they’re more casual and less fitted. I’m also a waist size larger in the ankle version, so the fit definitely varies style to style.

Perfect except too short!
13 October 2024

Great! But wish they came longer. I buy these and then tailor them to be straight leg and pull the hem out to be as long as possible. And then, I can never throw them in the drier. LEVI’s!! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE TALL WOMEN’s JEANS?!?I am 6’0 tall and have been waiting for decades for Levi’s to make longer inseams. I used to wear men’s 501’s but they feel so uncomfortable on my feminine hips. And Levi’s only makes women’s 501’s in a 32ā€ inseam at the longest. That is so short! I know women much shorter than me who wear longer inseams than that.

So small in hips
21 March 2024

Fit in hips/waist is not at all the same as the ribcage ankle. I ordered my usual size and yes I realize these are 100% cotton whereas the straight ankle fit have 1% elastane. However these were sooo tight across my hips I could just barely get them up/zipped but when I did the waist gap was HUGE. So I don't even think I can size up in these unless I want to wear a belt. Maybe they would stretch a bit because they're 100% cotton, but the hips to ratio proportion was just so off I'm not going to chance it. I also thought these were just a bit too wide leg for my liking. In summary, I thought the fit of these was terrible and will be returning. If your hips and waist are the same, maybe these will work for you?

Wow, these jeans..
24 March 2024

Firstly, these are the BEST jeans I own! They are true to size, fit well and are a great shade of blue. I had them taken up using the Levi’s tailoring and it was such a quick and hassle free process. The retail assistants in my local store were brilliant and so helpful. These are my first pair of Levi jeans and I will definitely re-purchase in a different colour! The wide leg ribcage is extremely flattering on the waist and booty!I love that Levi has the back detailing. It’s so classic and I love that everyone can see that I wear Levi’s!!

levi’s jeans are really great in quality but i’ve struggled a lot with their sizing. first of all, it’s deceptive: a ā€˜24’ is actually a 25" waist, a ā€˜25’ a 26", and so on. i had to return my initial purchase and size down considerably - now, even with the smallest size available, the waist is still stretched out and gapping. worst of all, the jeans are uncomfortably tight around my hips and pelvis. it is suffocating. i love the style and length so i’ve been trying to force myself to wear them but i’m actually starting to wonder if doing so could be bad for my health šŸ’€ i wouldn’t buy jeans here again given the fact that i’m always going to need to have them tailored, bringing up the cost significantly (not to mention the fact that these are already pretty pricey to ...Ā Morelevi’s jeans are really great in quality but i’ve struggled a lot with their sizing. first of all, it’s deceptive: a ā€˜24’ is actually a 25" waist, a ā€˜25’ a 26", and so on. i had to return my initial purchase and size down considerably - now, even with the smallest size available, the waist is still stretched out and gapping. worst of all, the jeans are uncomfortably tight around my hips and pelvis. it is suffocating. i love the style and length so i’ve been trying to force myself to wear them but i’m actually starting to wonder if doing so could be bad for my health šŸ’€ i wouldn’t buy jeans here again given the fact that i’m always going to need to have them tailored, bringing up the cost significantly (not to mention the fact that these are already pretty pricey to begin with). overall, i’m disappointed since it’s such a beloved brand.
