I ordered Levis 501 shrink to fit online. The pants arrived with the top button completely missing. I removed tags to put the pants on and did not notice the button missing until after removing the tags. I emailed them the same exact day within hours of receiving package. They will not accept for exchange or return because I removed the tags even though they sold me a defective item. I will not purchase from again. This was my second purchase from them. Unfortunately they lost a customer for not correcting their mistake

I ordered a pair of Levi’s jeans, but what I received was a sub-standard, poor quality counterfeit. Levi’s jeans are double stitched on all seams. Levi’s jeans have a distinctive red tag with the Levi’s logo on the back pocket. Levi’s jeans have a removable leather size marked tag portion on the waistband. The jeans I received have none of those. Additionally, the app would only allow me to add 1 pic, despite there being a 4 pic limit, so all I can show is the poor stitching.

Levi 501 Shrink-to-Fit button fly have been my jean of choice for years. I understand changes in denim manufacturing. But what I do not understand is changes in cut. At 6'7" 245lb I wear a 40W 38L and they shrink nicely to fit the way I like, slightly long in the leg for when wearing boots and a comfortable waist. The two new jeans I purchased have been soaked in hot water, washed and dried three times. Yet, they appear 'BAGGY'. I compared them to a pair of jeans purchased 5 years ago. The waist are the same the length are the same BUT the seat and especially the legs are noticeably wider. 0.75 inches wider, not so much an issue in the seat, but the leg diameter changes how the entire jean looks....baggy. These shrink to fit big and tall 501 jeans are THEE best Jeans I ever had. The fit is great. And the feel of the Levis denim is better than any other pair of jeans I've owned. I'm told that the purists don't wash them. I plan on wearing mine at least 10 times before I wash them, according to what is recommended. I highly recommend these 501s for anyone who needs a larger size. Also they're the originals. A classic. Don't deliberate any more. Get a pair..or more!!!!
I loved 501s so much in the 70s and 80s that I once started a poem about a perfect day with, "Blue skies and my button flies..." Haha!Anywho, these are 501s. 501s are button fly, as opposed to having zippers.Soooo happy to find all cotton jeans!Cotton jeans shrink if you overdry them, and relax the more you wear them. If you like to overdry your clothes, you should buy them a little snug or buy them to fit and stop over drying.I can't wait to get them, I'll update after a couple weeks of wearing them. Also, cotton (non-stretch) jeans need a break-in period, wear them enough without washing every wear and they will (hopefully) fit like a glove.
I have been wearing 501 Shrink-to-Fit jeans longer than any other single item of clothing in my closet, replacing them as they finally wear out. They're my go-to jeans. They reliably shrink to a perfect personalized fit every time. For me, much preferable to the pre-shrunk fit (although I will buy those if in a pinch). Since discovering Levi's quality and fit, I haven't looked elsewhere. And the jeans have never let me down.
I’ve been wearing 501 jeans for 55 years. This last purchase I find the weight of the denim is much lighter than the norm. They surely won’t last as long as I am accustomed to.I have always washed them for a true shrink to fit. My first wash the dye came out streaky and uneven. That could even out over time, but we shall see.Might be the last time I buy them.
I currently live in a town where there are no stores that carry Levis. I looked up Levis on the internet and ordered me a couple pairs of jeans off of their website. I was never so happy to get mail in my life. Levis 501s shrink to fit are the only jeans I like to wear and they were delivered just in time for the cold temperatures. Now I have Levis to wear for the winter and know they will last no matter what.
At 70 Years old, I have been Wearing 501 Shrink to Fit Levi's From Toddler age, and My Father Born in 1914, and Brothers born in 1936, 1938, 1940 all wore these Levi's as they were and are the TOUGHEST BLUE JEANS made.
