We love our new air purifier. It easily fits in our room and is non-abtrusive. You can hardly hear it on any settings. It's very quiet. When left to auto setting, we did not feel it cleaned the air well enough although the particulate reading was low. So we set it on 3, and feel it does a much better job. This is likely because we have a room larger than 400 sqft, high ceilings and open room concept with living/ dining and kitchen all together. Also the app that allows us to program with our phone is very handy. We like that too. We are very happy with this model.

Within a couple hours the purifier dropped all the way down to 001 and it has consistently stayed under 10 for weeks now. My wife and I are plagued by summer allergies and gave the Levoit Core 400S air purifier a try. The unit was easy to setup. You can use the unit manually or by the VeSync app. The air quality was much improved with the unit installed in our living room. So much so, that we purchased another for our bedroom. The unit is very quiet, especially running on low fan. The digital display shows the settings and the actual current particle count. Being able to setup a cleaning schedule is also a nice plus. With the summer air quality alerts that have been occurring, I'm glad we have these air purifiers to provide clean air to breathe.

I bought a Levoit 400S and 2 smaller Winix units at Home Depot. The Levoit 400S is excellent and the controls and features are nice. I like the particulate counter and the easy to understand air quality ring indicators. The unit is very quiet at low speeds but still moves a good amount of air. Also excels at removing cooking odors. The 2 Winix units I was not so pleased with. They were noisier and one was vibrating excessively; from a mechanical viewpoint that is a bad sign. So I replaced both Winix with the Levoit 400S, now I have 3 and I am very pleased. Of course the local Home Depot having the 400S on sale for $99.99 also helped. I just bought the Levoit Core 400S Smart True HEPA Air Purifier just before the wild fires in Canada and all that smoke that killed the air quality in New York City. For some reason I had the windows opened and the purifier off. The air in the apartment smelled like smoke, so I closed the windows turned on the purifier and the light rings were red. Within the hour the air started getting better in the living room and the rings on the purifier turned blue, indicating that the air quality in the room was better. No more smoke smell in the entire apartment for that matter. Now I keep my windows close and my purifier on all day.This purifier was worth the purchase and I am very happy I bought it.

We have two german shepherds, which creates a very dusty home. My wife has allergies which makes her life miserable at times, so we were looking for something to help with that. It's always hard to tell just how much of a difference these make, but I do like it. We turn it up a bit at night for the white noise and increase air filtration. We have an older competitors brand that seems to register the air quality as worse when the dogs walk by as opposed to the new one makes very little change. The purifier continues to give off a foul, sour smell after a short time of use. I just purchased a new filter to try and resolve this issue at the end of May and by early July it was already beginning to smell this way again. Now in late July we can’t even use it anymore because it makes the room smell terrible. This seems to be a consistent problem that customers are having with Levoit’s products and they are not fixing the issues. Do not purchase this purifier. If you have already purchased the purifier don’t waste any more money on new filters and demand your money back.
I have a Core 400S in a bedroom no bigger than 215sq/ft.According to the US EPA on air quality. 0-15µg/m³ is consider "Very Good/Good" But the unit will allow the µg/m³ to get as high as 40µg/m³ before going to Fan Speed 1. Even when it is in Fan Speed 1, it can never get it down, but maintain within that range.They need to fix or reprogram their logic and keep the fan up high enough to bring the level down to >15µg/m³.I have an Airthings View Plus that monitor the same room (across the room from the air purifier) to cross check.It is only in Fan Speed 3 or Turbo where it can keep the PM2.5 level under 15µg/m³. In my particular room.

I get plenty of sun but no air flow cross breeze. So every time I cook the smell just hangs in the air. Most of the time the air quality is pretty good and the unit cleans the air very quietly. In fact right now the meter read 003 and the fan is work slowly and very quietly. Last night I broiled pork chops in the oven had a little smoke and the Unit came on strong with the meter reading 450. A reading of over 115 is considered high. Shortly after dinner the unit continued to work and within a 1/2 hour my air was clean again. For some reason the PM indicator increased a bit but in auto mode it did not turned up the fan speed. Next, I put a smoking piece of paper next to it. The PM jumped at once to maximum but in auto mode, it did not turned up the fan speed to maximum, I had to manually select the 4th speed. I suspect that with that these air sensores are indeed of pure accuracy and one should not use auto mode but select one constant fan speed at all times. On the plus side the noise is indeed low. On 1st speed it's barely hearable. In night mode it's almost silent but it barely blows any air so there is a compromise here and I think night mode is of no use if you want to effecitvely ... MoreSo I just got mine. The commands are responsive hovewer I haven't tested these features which are irrelevant to me like, timer, schedules or voice control. The 'effcient' function in auto mode settings should allow to choose between imperial and metric units but in the end I suppose it's just a bell and whistle which is not any more efficient and power-economic compared to keeping the device running at one constant speed all the time.
