Great ssd for phone filmmaking but, inexplicably, it wasn't designed for it to be used with a phone case. The thing works only with the bare phone.I find it VERY annoying considering many of those who use the phone to film, they use some sort of case.And I don't really have certainty about this but I would bet that the majority of people who owns a high quality phone use it with a case because no one wants the thing breaking.So why on earth would Lexar design the ssd without taking the phone case into consideration? Beats me...

Small,lightweight and versatile. The drive and hub mount even with an Apple silicon case on the iPhone. Easy to record directly to the SSD. The hub makes it easy to attach other devices like a microphone. The 1 TB is plenty of space for hours of recording. Highly recommended.
I got this drive shortly after it was released. It comes with or without the Hub but I would recommend the hub, it adds so much versatility. It is as easy as plug & pay with the iPhone. No formatting needed. The drive is light and works great on a Gimbal. My only critique is that the USB C plug is hard to pull from my Mac Studio port. But! It is very secure when attaced to my phone, so I'll take that as the reason why.
A great idea, great product, well made, works great! My only complaint is that if your iPhone has a thick case, like I do, the U-shaped adapters will not work, I have to remove my thick protective case and use a thinner case instead when using this device.
