Drive Smaller than marked / advertised

I bought this Lexar V100 drive a couple months ago. I didn't notice until now when I tried to add 40GB worth of data, the nearly empty '64GB' drive only has storage available for up to 34.36GB according to OSX disk utility. I tried different filesystem format (default was FAT32), and tried ExFAT, etc. but the size didn't change.

EXCELLENT JUMP DRIVE!!

Absolutely amazing how much info I am able to store on this drive... I have always known Lexar products to be reliable, reason why i didn't hesitate to make my purchase... I was NOT disappointed at all. My laptop is going bad and I wanted to make sure to save ALL my important videos and this drive really delivers!! Storage capacity is true to description...Very pleased with first purchase, that I purchased another. No issues with the transfer rate, even when I was transferring multiple items at one time. I am very pleased with the overall performance. Now I DON'T have to worry about my laptop zonking out on me.

Great Price! Not so good Jump Drive…

Plenty of storage for the price. However for a USB 3.0 Drive it was very disappointing. Not only was the transfer speed extremely slow (4.5MPS on average), it would sometimes slow down even further to a complete stop. My old Lexar USB 3.0 Jump Drive blew this one out of the water. Lexar’s performance & reliability has completely fallen off the map… Would not recommend this drive..

Lexar JumpDrive 64 GB 3.0 USB Flash Drive Does The Job For Me!
15 November 2021

I sometimes loan out data to friends and family on a USB flash drive and this Lexar 64 GB 3.0 USB Flash Drive does an excellent job for my purpose. I have found that Lexar has been great quality for my needs over many years, and I can't recall ever having a problem with a Lexar USB Drive. Well actually I do have one problem with these drives, sometimes I don't get them BACK from the person I loaned them to but that's another story! The price is great, the quality is great, being 3.0 version the transfer speed is great, and they last forever! Buy a good quality USB flash drive like this and you'll have no regrets. If you are transferring larger GB files you should re-format this drive to NTFS instead of FAT32 and then you'll have no problems moving larger movie files ... MoreI sometimes loan out data to friends and family on a USB flash drive and this Lexar 64 GB 3.0 USB Flash Drive does an excellent job for my purpose. Never Again
11 December 2021

This didn't work from the start. I have 2 laptops and they both will work and then come uup with the error that the drive is not recognized, do a scan and proceed. I have done multiple scans, and it will work... AND THEN the problem comes up again. I bought 4.. the other 3 are going back. I even tried to reformat and start over, still the same issue.

Not sure about the durability
6 October 2020

The drive is working well so far. It has not been that long since I purchased it though so I am unsure of the longevity. They seem a bit flimsy and not too durable though. They also do not retract which I do not like. The Sansdisk drives I have seem a bit more durable. I do have another lexar drive drive that also seems more durable so I assume these were not too expensive for a reason. I just hope they hold up for a few years. For the sale price, it was a good deal...possibly lol.

Was a terrific deal on sale, works extremely well.
28 January 2022

I bought four of them in the last few months, great deal when there on sale at half price. I’ve have had no problems at all so far it’s been very dependable, works well on my laptop and tv. I had several problems with other major brands. Guess I can say... I love it!

crashed twice, lost everything, reformat, AVOID
8 September 2023

Had another one same model as this one. That one crashed and was unrecoverable. Second one that replaced the first one crashed for no reason. Lost everything on it both times. Second one was re-initialized... but how long will that last? These are not getting heavy use either. Just random crashes.AVOID. Get another brand or model. It's true... Lexar has been replaced by some cheap offbrand supplier who bought the name and now just puts that name on cheap junk. You'll lose all your files and if you're lucky it wont cost u a buncha money or time. Its comepletely random.
