LG 27BK550Y-I 27" 1920x1080 FullHD LCD IPS Monitor

My wife recently started WFH needed a mid size screen this one fit our bill neatlyPrice 8/10Screen 9/10Ports 10/10 (also has a VGA port incase you work in a bank ; ) )can be vertically mountedIf I were to name a con it has a relatively larger base not concerning but just to point out incase you have a really small desk.

The criteria for a my second monitor.Very clear screen picture, Power Eco with Styling to blend my main Dell 27" monitor also a good value buy.I can honestly say this monitor meets and passes all the above.My purchase was swayed on the 11good reviews this monitor was awarded by previous buyers.It closed the sale for me. Really recommend.

Excellent for the price.

Excellent monitor for the price. No frills, no camera, but it does the job. Plug and play. Monitor is adjustable up and down and side to side. Very sturdy. I use it with a Mac Mini and Apple keyboard and magic mouse. 24" size is plenty wide to put two pages on the screen side by side.

Great value for a more than decent IPS, 27" monitor.

Although it's not a Dell Ultrasharp but it holds it's own in value and color out of the box. A little shading shift at about 30 degree angles with monitor in vertical position. Mine got struck by a lighting surge to HDMI cable and port. Bought another from elsewhere and all works well and not using HDMI cable anymore due to the surge sensitivity. Using DVI-D or Display Port for safety reasons. Now I want another to sit beside this one for a larger desktop. Seller was quite agreeable to me returning it before the surge happened.

Really good bang-for-buck monitor

I purchased the LG 24BK550Y monitor to replace an much older 24" monitor that had finally died. I chose it mainly because of all the connections it had: DP, HDMI & DVI as well as VGA (D-Sub) plus USB & sound, and also because it came with a DP cable included. I didn't expect it to be a really good monitor because of the price but I when I got it home and opened the box I was pleasantly surprised because the picture was near perfect right out-of-the-box: crisp with vibrant colours. I don't play 1st person shooters but for all other use it was been fantastic. One of my daughters was so impressed so purchased one for the design work she does for her studies

Very capable LG 27" IPS monitor with pivot stand

Excellent monitor for the price!Size is near perfect.It appears to be a lower grade IPS just like most of the sub $300-$1000 + IPS monitors. It shifts brightness as you move your head or monitor left, right, up or down, but a very capable monitor. Good color, brightness and contrast out of the box. Had to tweak those settings for my taste but most will probably be happy as is. Good for photo editing. Excellent adjustments to the stand with pivot since I keep my monitors in portrait/vertical position for ease of reading long pages, editing code and editing vertical images.Two or three together would be ideal for me. Very Handy connection options with VGA, DVI, Display Port and HDMI.

Very good lower cost 27" IPS LED Monitor.

Excellent LG 27BK550Y-B 27" IPS LED monitor. Ability to tweak options and the spring loaded vertical adjustment along with the pivot, rotate and tilt adjustments are spectacular. Has good color and lighting out of the box. Great for editing photos, reading long text pages, etc. Easy set up.

Works as expected

A lot of tedious number crunching is done on this monitor. It is height adjustable unlike cheaper monitors that require a riser, and can rotate 90 degrees to review long spreadsheets. It is perfect for work related activities! The only downside is the monitor speakers are terrible (like very quiet) so don't rely on them for sound.

I haven't tested specs,and I don't have a very discriminant eye, but normal web browsing and movie-watching have been good for me on this monitor, in bright daylight and darkness. Some pros and cons, which may not matter to everyone:Pros: Connecting to my laptop was straight-forward, plug-and-play. The stand feels sturdy, and the height adjusting and up/down tilting feel easy yet secure.Cons: The 2 USB ports are not convenient for regular access. Also, you're only gaining one extra USB port, since you need to use one on your computer (or other device) to connect to this monitor for them to function. The footprint of the stand is larger than I expected (9.1x9.5 in). The foot of the stand needs even more space (13in ... MoreAfter a week of use, it's been working fine.
