You have the worst and I mean the worst without any exaggeration, customer service! I bought a motor from LG.com and received a defective brand new monitor that has pixels in the middle of the screen and half of the screen has stripes and does not work. I called and tried to exchange it. It’s been 4 days now that I spent on the phone with whole bunch of people playing me like a ping pong from department to department and I cannot get anyone to send me my replacement monitor and take this junk back. You expect me to buy anything LG anymore? Brand new monitor that’s defective and you play games with the customer instead of immediately taking care of this because your brands reputation is at stake here. I have never had any electronics arrive brand new and defective. ... MoreYou have the worst and I mean the worst without any exaggeration, customer service! I received this monitor as a birthday gift. The size is perfect for my use. I'm not a gamer so the reader mode has proven to be very useful. My OS is Linux Mint and make use of the split screen option often. Being able to have multiple apps on screen at the same time and being able to move from one to the other as needed is one of the main reasons I had been looking at this type of monitor to begin with. If needed, I can have one app full screen and not have to scroll sideways to view all of the information. The curve of the monitor is just right for my use. I don't sit very close to the screen, so I am able to read from side to side without turning my head or shifting my seating position. The clarity of text if great. With the proper adjustments, I have no issues ... MoreI received this monitor as a birthday gift. The size is perfect for my use. I'm not a gamer so the reader mode has proven to be very useful. I bought this screen in early Feb. Free shipping, but took awhile to get here (~2 weeks, some delays due to weather). First lesson: OPEN AND USE IMMEDIATELY. I did not know this and set the box aside while we were waiting for painting and furniture for my office. I finally got everything set up in early March. Screen seemed good for a few days but then started randomly displaying "snowy" static across the whole screen. A reboot would fix it for random amounts of time before it occurred again. Then individual pixels were flying around the screen, seemingly randomly but they could have been following the mouse on a delay. I have always had a high opinion of LG products but this one, misbehaving when so new, appears to be a lemon. LG only stands behind their monitors ... MoreI bought this screen in early Feb. LG only stands behind their monitors for 2 WEEKS (return window) It's a beautiful screen and impressive size if it weren't for that pesky reliable monitor expectation I have.
When my Dell 34-inch UltraSharp monitor, which I'd been using daily for work from home for the past three years, suddenly "died," I scrambled to find a replacement and ended up with this monitor. The price was way lower than the Dell, and it was on sale, so I decided to go for it. The customer reviews were decent, too.My old Dell monitor had built-in speakers at the bottom and USB ports on the back, where I used to plug in a little LED lamp that sat on top. This LG monitor, on the other hand, is pretty much "no frills"—no speakers or USB ports. In terms of image quality, I don’t see much difference from the Dell. But since this monitor has a VA panel instead of an IPS panel, it does get a bit hazy when viewed from the side. Luckily, that’s not an issue when I’m ... But since this monitor has a VA panel instead of an IPS panel, it does get a bit hazy when viewed from the side. Luckily, that’s not an issue when I’m just using it solo for work. The curve on this LG is a bit more pronounced than the Dell—so it has a smaller radius of curvature—but you get used to it pretty fast. All in all, in terms of display quality, clarity, and eye comfort, it feels just as good as the Dell I had. For the price, it’s a solid work monitor that I’d recommend!
I have to say I am a huge fan of LG and I own everything LG except 1 of 2 TVs. I trust this brand but not this flimsy screen. We got this screen due name, having speakers, due to size, curve and clear picture. The control button at ghe bottom is some white small button cheap lookign. We were excited once we tried the PS5. It worked for 1-2 days. Third day we tried to play again and even connect brand new gaming PC, it went totally dark. It had aome blue shadow. I chatted with the LG team and they offered to ship for a check or fix. They couldn’t do much via chat or ph. They wanted me to do some updates. Really? With black screen - no logic. Next day returned to Best Buy. Their Geek Squad tested many different ways and realized too its broken, bad screen. Wow LG such ... Hesitantly purchased this in store though there was no display model, which I absolutely despise when buying a monitor or TV. But it was on sale and wouldn't be afraid to return if it sucked, but thankfully it does not suck. For the most part... This is where the 4 stars comes in...Out of the box it has a great picture but is quite limited in user adjustability. So basically, you get 4 or 5 presets you're stuck with and that's it. I was initially quite turned off by this however, the more I've used it, the more I like it.And it was worth the $299 sale price. NOT worth 399 in my honest opinion. So keep picture adjustments, or lack thereof in mind before buying. For my first, or anyone's first ultrawide, it's a nice start if you don't want to pay the sky high OLED ... After several years using a dual monitor setup with different sized screens I decided to upgrade, and because 27" screen prices have dropped dramatically in recent years, had originally considered moving to a three 27" monitor set up. However, am incredibly happy I purchased the LG 34" UltraWide instead, because it has all the additional screen space without the hassle associated with daisy-chaining monitors. I was concerned that 34" would seem small compared to the combined area of my old 27" + 24" monitors, but due to the LG's 3440x1440 resolution just the opposite is true, and it at least feels like I have much more room than before. Finally, the picture quality is stunning for movies and gaming and crisp/clean when viewing documents/text whether connected via HDMI or DisplayPort. Overall, an incredible amount of bang for your buck and bigger than you're envisioning.
Great monitor at a great price! The curve...I stressed over but YOU WANT IT. Why? Well, coming from 2 screens, the curve prevents stretching your neck left/right to see screen edges. AIso, it is not curved very much so don't think it's going to alter normal viewing. You have the LG OnScreen control app to tile screens as you see fit - dual, triple, full screen, half, quarters, etc. Resolution is great at 3440x1440 so browsing/gaming/apps should all be covered. Yes, only 60Hz refresh for you purists out there, 90% of users will not matter. Has 2 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort, joystick style button on rear right for power/menu/select. Great OSD menu, intuitive, several custom adjustments to picture and black stabilizer for gaming. NOT using for gaming and I have been out of ... MoreGreat monitor at a great price! NOT using for gaming and I have been out of that scene a long time so please check specs on refresh and other needs and decide. I assume gamers run 2560x1080 for FPS frame rate and this monitor would look amazing with that too. Headphone jack but meh, I won't use that as I have a nice studio setup. No USB ports either and I kinda like that. Overall, Ultrawide is just a life upgrade and a different level. Bought here on LG so you will wait 5 days or so for shipping and hard to see updates, 2 business days or so then they send email/tracking. We are spoiled by Amazon 2-day. I saw other reviews about not working or damage well, I guess that can happen at anytime to any monitor. You can't blame the model/manufacturer for transit damage, just return it and get a new one. All I can say is mine came shipped in LG box and was brand new and not damaged at all. Shipped from CA and I am in NC, so cross country and box looked good. No issues whatsoever. I am very happy with the monitor and at $250 it is a great deal. Wish you the best!
