So I got this monitor from Amazon and it arrived broken. After failed attempts with Amazon I messaged LG for warranty service. No issues what do ever. Once I received my monitor back it was 100% working. I game alot and this monitor is far superior to any close competitor. The video is super smooth and rich. I couldn't be happier and wish I could get an actual LG gaming monitor. This one doesn't disappoint.

I have had this monitor for just under 2 years and in that time the USB C connection has failed twice, which breaks the inbuilt USB hub and USB-C video/power. The first time it broke was within 9 months of purchase. It took over 2 months to get fixed, which in the end LG just sent me a new monitor. The second time just got fixed (took a month in which the main PCB was replaced). From first plug in, the USB-C, continuallydisconnects/connects. So looks like a warranty return again. What a lemon. Do not touch this monitor, if you ever want to use the USB-C. And what is the point of this monitor if you cannot.

Purchased for working from home, after having used this exact monitor in the office. Replaced a dual 24 inch monitor setup. Good for having Outlook on one half, and Team on the other, or two Excel spreadsheets side by side. Works at the full resolution with both my work laptop (Intel) and my M1 Macbook Pro, with both laptops just using the the USBC cable for both monitor and power. One cable replaced the power cable, the HDMI, the USBC monitor cable as well. I did look at some 34 inch monitors in this category, from Phillips and also HP, which were similarly priced (even a bit cheaper with the sales at the time), but I ended up buying this one because LG also have a good reputation, and as I have used these at work, and they are great. Refresh rate goes up to 100Hz but I can't tell you if they are good for games. I tried playing League of Legends on the big screen; it fills the screen but it's almost too big; I tried Civilisation IV but it can't use the entire screen real estate.Speakers are OK and better than the laptop speakers, but it's as expected for monitor speakers. The control is by a little joystick bottom centre of the screen which I found intuitive to use.I mainly use this for work, so I can't fault this monitor for this purpose.

Plugged in and within minutes everything was set up and ready to go.Easy to put together, and set up, I am using the display port for my connection to PCScreen resolution is great and it's a big step up from my last 1080P monitor. The only thing that lets this down is the finishing of the product. The outer bezel on the front of the monitor has some sharp and rough edges. This is a bit of a let down and I hope the inside is better quality.
I've had this monitor for a month and am very happy with it. I switched from a dual screen setup (two 27" monitors) to this wide screen one, and I actually prefer this so much more. I am a developer, and with my IDE, I usually have a lot of custom panes setup as well as multiple files open. Being able to fit everything onto one screen has been great, because even when I used to have two smaller screens, the second screen didn't really help that much if I was just working in a single program (since a program can't "stretch" across both smaller screens). The other thing is that because of how wide it is, two programs can easily be opened side by side without looking cramped, so I don't feel like I've lost any productivity at all even moving from my previous dual ... MoreI've had this monitor for a month and am very happy with it. The colours are vibrant and look great, especially in HDR mode.Note that because of the dimensions of the monitor and the stand, I would recommend having it on a desk which is >60cm in terms of depth. My desk is exactly 60cm and I find it to be slightly too close to my eyes in terms of ergonomics, even when placed at the desk's edge. Luckily, I have solved this by mounting it on a monitor arm, but for anyone else considering this monitor who does not already have a desk, I'd definitely recommend a desk with more depth for ergonomic purposes.
It's a great monitor overall, though I should've bought the higher refresh rate model. It was a bit bright, so I played around with the brightness and HDR, and it's been much better. Was surprised to see speakers included, they're decent enough. 21:9 was a bit wack at the start with all the black bars, but it's overall pretty fine. You might be a bit surprised on how big the monitor actually is, smaller or curved desks may have a bit of trouble accommodating this monitor. Picture quality is great, can't really complain too much. Comes with 2 usb ports at the back, 2 hdmi, display port, and a hdmi cable included. It's really easy to assemble, and it's not very heavy. I bought this monitor as I wanted to ditch the three plugs for the two-monitor setup I have, along with the docking station. Read the reviews, and looked at the product info and thought that this is perfect for me. However, once I had installed the OnScreen Control software, that's when the issues started. the software is no better [actually it's worse] than the standard Windows option of being able to snap applications to either side of the screen. In fact, I thought that the software will automatically snap the apps into the desired screen split, but no, you have to drag and drop them . Then, you will notice that there are gaps around each of the split apps, making the screen look messy, and it's quite off-putting seeing open applications behind. Also, it appears that not all apps are supported via the split, so WhatsApp and Messenger have to be manually resized.
Nice screen, great stand. However the split screen software is frustratingly janky with windows snapping inside but being offset. When watching a video in full screen, the software doesn’t recognise this either. Currently I can’t see a way of getting around this besides setting my display resolution to not be ultra wide, only when watching a movie etc.
I bought this a few weeks ago thinking I'd be able to reduce clutter by going to a single screen and connecting my Lenovo X1 Carbon via USB-C and eliminate the need for the dock. The USB-C port on the monitor does not deliver enough power for the laptop. The supplied cable was faulty causing the screen to disconnect and reconnect every few minutes. Tried 3 other cables and whilst the screen stopped disconnecting, the laptop continued to discharge. Also note that it does not support PBP and updating the monitor software via the LG OnScreen Control is no longer available.
This monitor is widely known for it's faulty USB hub. When I originally bought mine, there was no disclaimer about the USB C cable not being able to handle Macbook Pros. That changed about 1 month into owning it, and multiple issues with the USBC port playing up. Eventually the entire USB hub died. It was fixed under warranty, only to have it happen for a second time. I am now being issued store credit and looking for somthing more reliable. Even now with the dead USB hub, the HDMI barely supports 60hz refresh rate on the Macbook Pro, flickering constantly.Poor quality, do not waste your time or money like I did. That's 2 months I've been monitorless due to this things poor build.
