The water tank has to be taken out everytime for refill or top up which may affect the long term durability of the rubber seal of the connection at the back of the tank. It could be designed such that water can be added without removing the tank. 3. In the freezer compartment, only the bottom two are drawers. The top and middle are freezer trays only which limits the items stored as small items may fall out as the trays slide in and out. LG can consider to using drawers with sufficient holes to allow airflow. 4. The fridge doors are slightly mis-aligned with an extra 2-3mm gap at the top as if the doors are tilted clockwise. While this does not affect the operation, it has been reported to LG for investigation.

This fridge replaces an old larger fridge we had after it died. It’s a good fridge however I would have liked to be able to remove half of the lower shelf for more stand up drinks. The shelf is fixed and cannot be taken out unless you take the whole shelf out thus losing space. Also it’s not flush at the back of the fridge shelf, rather it’s at an angle so you lose a bit more space. Would have also been good if there was a bit more flexibility in where you can place the shelves. Ok apart from those gripes, it’s a great fridge. If you don’t mind those particulars I’ve mentioned, give it a go. Especially if your limited to 900mm cabinet space and need something smaller.

After 27 years of service our old fridge had, had enough. Since we have mostly LG products in our house we were delighted when the sales lady at Harvey Norman suggested the GF-L570PL as the best option for the criteria that we listed. We've had the unit for a few weeks now and can't believe how quiet it is compared to our old fridge. It does all that we require of it and our only criticism of it is that the shelves in the main cabinet and on the door are not very adjustable. However, the freezer section with its drawers is a winner. We are also pleased with the compact water/ice unit. It takes up so much less space that our old fridge.
First time having a bottom mount fridge, and i like it. The kids can't really reach the middle and highest shelf, which can be good or bad. I got this for the ice crusher and dispenser. And i love it. I read reviews about how loud it is but its not actually that loud. You notice it but its fine. The top 2 shelves are moveable but you cant move the shelf with the frame in the middle. The minimising shelf is great for the 2lt filtered water jug as its tall. The fridge door on the right doesnt gravity close which i have to get used to but beeps when i forget to shut it. Love the freezer draws and 2 doors. Best fridge I've ever had. It was super easy to pair to the smartphone app and alerts me when the door is left open as well on case i walked upstairs. It was super easy to pair to the smartphone app and alerts me when the door is left open as well on case i walked upstairs. Fridge didnt fit in the alcove so had to be next to the kitchen. Love the black fridge. It does show up wet or dirty hand prints tho which i thought it wouldnt being black. The nonplumbed dispenser is fantastic. Have to fill the 4lt tank noghtly cos the kids are obsessed with it. At least its water. The ice crusher and auto ice maker sealed the deal for me. Perfect if you eat ice or have cold drinks alot.
We were limited in choice due to size but this recommendation suits our need perfectly. While we have only had it for a few weeks it performs well and the non plumbed water and ice feature is a big bonus. I thought it was just a gimmick and would constantly be filling it up but have been pleasantly surprised by the capacity and ice making both crushed and cubed. The retractable shelf was also an unexpected bonus and was used the second weekend we had it. It was a bit of a surprise when first heard the noise from the ice maker but now we don't even notice it. Very good quality and finish. Order and Delivery was excellent with good communication, help full staff and best delivery drivers I have dealt with.
Great fridge for the size. (6 Month review)We needed a fridge/freezer for the tight space in our rental. We also had our hearts set on one with french doors and a built-in ice/water dispenser. After looking around at the price, energy star rating, and size. We chose this one. It works great, fits well, and the 4-liter water tank is very easy to fill for the water/ice. It has enough room for all your food and drinks. As it is I would recommend it for any couple looking for a fridge/freezer.That being said, I don't think there's enough room for anything more. A medium size family would probably find it hard to store all their food/drinks as it can get quite tight in there. We had a party for our family and found it hard to store all our catering supplies in it.Also, don't be surprised, this fridge/freezer makes some noises. When it is producing ice. Every few hours the pump will engage and the new ice will be stored for your later use. It's not a deal breaker or anything but I can see some people would be upset about that.If you can look pasted all that. This fridge/freezer is great for any young couple looking to upgrade in my opinion.
Received a critical FF E error, This was an unusual error and from the online research a serious error relating to the cooling fan or control board, which requires the fridge/freezer to be powered down and then powered back up for the message to clear, so as to allow the fridge freezer to operate. This reset operation was initially occurring every 4 hours, now the reset is required at least twice daily while a race in time between the fridge/freezer completely failing and the wait required for a service technician after placing a warranty call where I am still waiting 2 weeks for the fridge/freezer to be serviced under warranty. For the price paid for this unit, and this time of Year, Christmas, this is extremely troublesome. I have three other expensive LG items, this incident/fault makes me question my previous view of the reliability and quality of the LG branded products, as I paid a premium price for the item during Covid lockdowns. My previous LG fridge/freezer broke down without warning, but it did last 10 years so I went back to the LG brand. This one has only lasted 6 months, the service desk communicated they will be replacing parts, whenever they arrive. I would have expected a new Fridge/Freezer as my confidence in the Quality Control of this unit is extremely low, Apart from having to wait so long for a service, the whole experience places me on the edge of recommending or deciding to purchase LG Brand products in the future.
We have a small fridge cavity in the kitchen (or perhaps normal for any house built in the 80s and 90s). It's 850mm wide. With a young family, we've wanted a new, bigger fridge for a while, and noticed this new LG line of slim french door fridges. Thanks to a cashback offer, we decided to go for the plumbed model with the water/ice dispenser. It cost $330 for a plumber to add a water outlet to the fridge cavity. Not a cheap exercise, but if you only do this once every decade, then make it worthwhile. After removing an incredible amount of packaging and protective material, the fridge slid in like it was on rails (thanks to the skirts). A very snug, but perfect fit. The fridge is excellent. Not a cheap exercise, but if you only do this once every decade, then make it worthwhile. After removing an incredible amount of packaging and protective material, the fridge slid in like it was on rails (thanks to the skirts). A very snug, but perfect fit. The fridge is excellent. Plenty of storage for our needs (while not huge), and some great custom space, with a shelf that retracts to allow for tall storage. We're definitely noticing veggies and fruit are lasting longer in the fresh bins. The odour control seems to work, it always smells fresh and clean. I had read horror stories about noises. We barely notice it - though we all sleep upstairs. It seems to make normal, background fridge noises (no fridge I've ever had has been silent). The water and ice dispenser has been a big surprise for us. We wondered if we'd use it... well, do we use it. I'm drinking so much more water, and the ability to dispense ice in cubes or crushed has reinvented 'Friday night drinks'. If you want to get your kids excited about drinking water (by easily adding some ice), this is a great idea. Yes, it was more expensive to go for the plumbed model, then get the water outlet (about $500 more in total)- but we're happy with the decision. Our only concern remains potential longevity. I've read and heard stories about these complex fridges only lasting 3-5 years. Time will tell. For now, I obviously can't factor that into my review (6 weeks post-installation). Hope this helps you.
I recently purchased this LG 506l French Door Refrigerator from The Good Guys and so far I am really loving it. It is very solid, well made and elegantly designed with intention to make very good usage of space inside the fridge as well as around the outside. The internal shelves, drawers and behind the door areas are very generous in their space and are deep allowing you to fit quite a lot more compared to other fridges I have owned. The 'slim' design also allowed me to fit this larger refrigerator inside my alcove as I initially thought I would need to buy a single door style fridge. It sits beautifully flush and snug with very minimal gaps all around and blends into the kitchen quite naturally. No issues opening either doors or the inside drawers with one side of my fridge being next to a wall. It's nice and cold so I would say it has definitely kept food fresher for a few days longer than other fridges I have owned. It is quiet enough, I hardly notice any sounds or hums. The in-built water tank for the ice and water dispenser is perfect as I didn't want plumbing or minded topping up the tank - it's very easy to slide out, fill and place back in. Overall, it has been an excellent refrigerator and definitely hasn't disappointed me in any way. Also, The Good Guys were excellent in their service, communication and delivery.
