Awesome fridge

I love my new fridge except for the layout of the freezer compartment. it is a good size but it would be so much more user friendly if it has baskets/drawers instead of shelving. I knew that it had shelves when it was purchased, I just didn't realise how hard it would be to stack things on shelves without them falling over. The other thing I am not really keen on is how marks are left on surface of fridge doors. Easy fix to wipe them down but I thought the new finish would be less susceptible to marks.I would have given 4.5 stars but couldn't work out how to do that.

I'm really enjoying my new fridge, for the following reasons. It's very quiet & I like the recessed handles. It has clean lines, allowing surfaces to be easily wiped. The internal illumination is excellent & even, & food keeps extremely well. All components are well proportioned, but my favourite feature is the deep door shelves as they easily hold a large number of items.I would have liked to give 4 1/2 stars, as my 'criticisms' are outweighed by my compliments.I was initially disappointed by the lack of internal containers, so had to purchase my own. (Perhaps I don't use ice often enough, & if I did this may not be an issue.)All in all it's a quality refrigerator that I'm extremely happy with.

Convenient and efficient, but website lacking.

This refrigerator is quiet and keeps food fresh for longer than my last fridge. The lighting is especially good, and the various shelves and compartments help to keep food well organised. The freezer is so well organised, I no longer need to unpack everything to find something at the back.I was able to get some extra parts that did not come standard, e.g. a wine rack and an extra door shelf. However, it took some research. It would be helpful if LG's website could list extra part numbers that do not come standard with each model, but do fit those models.

Good fridge but missing shelves??
7 March 2023

Nice fridge. Very spacious but could use an extra shelf in both the fridge and freezer sections. There's a lot of space between the shelves and it seems wasted. Our last fridge was only 633 litres and it seemed to fit more. Looks like we will need to containerise everything so that we can stack it but it's a pain when you have a lot of smaller containers and jars. It also moves a lot; we keep having to pull it back out because it rolls backwards into the cavity. We followed the instructions to lower the pads underneath but it still moves, we're worried it will tip too far back if we lower them any further.

LG 655L Side By Side Refrigerator

I replaced my previous LG fridge, with this updated model after 15 years. I feel the older model had features the new one hasn't such as a section if the fridge for cheese, higher shelving to fit soft drink bottles and and ice cube section in the freezer to enable me to have a good supply of ice cubes at all times. Due to it being Christmas I did not have time to go to the store to see prior to buying. Would I have purchased if I had gone in store to view, possibly not. If the other couple of features mentioned are not of concern to you then I could recommend this fridge and if I get the same length of time out of the new fridge I would certainly recommend LG.

Sleek appearance, just one small niggle.
16 June 2022

We have had our fridge for a little over a week now so it is too soon for a performance review but so far there is only one thing that could do with improvement in my opinion *the interior lighting in the fridge compartment. If all shelves are full, or even almost full, light does not reach the lowest shelf. In itself it's not a deal breaker but could be improved. The machine looks sleek, I particularly like that the handle is recessed, but it has taken us a week to get used to.

Some design flaws that have made me regret buying this one
31 August 2022

This was one of two fridge/freezer products I was choosing from and I wish I had have bought the other one. My two biggest gripes that annoy me every time I use this fridge are that the crisper drawer at the bottom requires the fridge door to be in a hyper-extended position to be opened, which pushes the fridge unit further outside the cabinetry casing it is housed in. Its a stretch to open it every time and the first thing it does is catch on the seal of the door, then i have to push the door open further. This is even more inconvenient because its at the bottom of the fridge so I'm leaning over to do it. It would be terrible for someone with back issues or elderly. The second design issue is the doors themselves. I specifically bought a model that was not as deep ... MoreThis was one of two fridge/freezer products I was choosing from and I wish I had have bought the other one. The second design issue is the doors themselves. I specifically bought a model that was not as deep as others so that it would fit neatly in the existing cabinetry depth without protruding. However, due to the design of the doors, it is required to sit further out from the cabinetry by the depth of the doors (which are approx 70mm) just so they can open. I wish I could return this fridge and get the other one!

This fridge really is a winner
7 August 2022

This is my first side by side setup and after a month of ownership, I can’t think of why go back to a standard. Easier to use than a French door too. Very quite operation, plenty of tall storage and good looking. Only two small criticisms I can think of… 1 no dedicated (twist style) ice tray that you see in a lot of new fridges. Just a tiny classic tray. 2. The two crisper draws don’t have handles or “lips” on the top of the draw. To pull them out, you need to reach all the way down to the bottom of of each draw. This seams unnecessary when a small lip on the top of the draw would have made that experience much easier. No regrets though…. Very happy.

You can see everything at a glance. No more food getting lost at the back of the fridge anymore.

No handles that will fall off when you open the door. Sleek design and very easy to keep clean. I tried clicking on the fifth star but it didnt work. Im actually giving it five stars. Just measure your doorways before buying. We have a old house and the fridge only just made it through the doorways

its like a food wardrobe. easily reach and access.
15 July 2022

When the fridge first arrived, i was doubt about the fridge as hubby bought the fridge without my knowledge. It turns out that i was extremely happy with the fridge as i do not need to squart up and down to check what’s in my fridge. the items are all in eye level its like a wardrobe for food. if you’re into organisation this is a fridge for you. i understand that many were saying there is no egg compartments but i do check in google and it mentioned that egg should be outside in kitchen or if we keep in fridge it should be in the egg carton. As for ice cubes, it is manual but we uses rarely. the door compartment for putting bottles are spacious. I keep all my jam & prickles jar and its easy to reach and access. Yeah im glad that hubby bought this fridge knowing ... MoreWhen the fridge first arrived, i was doubt about the fridge as hubby bought the fridge without my knowledge.
