Looks wise, it is amazing. Functionally the machine has lots of easy to use modes. On most modes it senses the weight and other factors to reduce the washing time. I find on small loads time, the time taken to wash is significantly shorter. Use of the allergy care mode with its steam wash seems to significantly clean and de-yellow pillow cases and bed sheets, previously I would have to undertake a lot of pre-soaking etc. Compared to my previous top-loader clothes are significantly dryer, and take less time to dry when hung up. The WiFi notification is handy, but the best bit about this connectivity is the ability to download a 'special' wash cycle. Ever wanted to just wash something that doesn't fit into a normal mode, well there 20+ (I believe) modes just for that ... MoreLooks wise, it is amazing. Loving it so far, very happy with the purchase.

It cleans well. I was not sure how its "delayed end" function works so asked LG. They told me that the machine will start straight away after you set, "soak" your clothing and keep the water temperature (to the programed temperature) for the whole duration to the finish time you set. To me, this is a waste of energy. What if you do not want to soak your clothing for the duration? I just hope it had "delay start" function.

I bought this machine several weeks ago. Looked great. Connected the hot water and the machine 'wee'd' out the front door until something kicked in and the machine stopped depositing water onto my floor. It has not leaked since, so that is good. HOWEVER, the machine has a real flaw. After a cycle, the machine fills the softener dispenser with water and the water then just sits there - it does not drain away (please check the attached photo). If you want to do another cycle you need to dismantle the whole drawer, manually remove the water, reassemble the unit and then you have space to add more fabric softener. This is not an easy process to do - it is a bit tricky. If you don't do this and just pour softener in, it gets all over the place - very messy. It is physically impossible for them to go through this process without it ending in painful joints. I know that is a bit of a cop out, however it is what we live with. It should not be that difficult a process. The last front loading machine we had was engineered a lot better than this. The chat guy who helped me, 'Rex', was busy with a lot of simultaneous customers so his focus was all over the place. This is something that LG should invest a little more in. He did however call me via mobile which was great and he promised to pass on my concerns to the engineers so I hope he does. IWe are quite disappointed by this turn of events. We like the size and look of the machine, but functionally this poor design 'feature' is not something that we expected nor wish to have to persist with over the next 10 years, so we will have to return the machine.

I bought my LG washer dryer twin wash last year when I redid my laundry. I can honestly say It’s the best washer dryer I have ever owned. The large washing machine can take a huge capacity. I only wash one or two loads a week now. And I use my mini wash for all my tops so they don’t crease or wear as much. I then take them out hang them straight on a hanger and pop outside when dry they go straight in my cupboard no ironing necessary. I love using the dryer for towels. As long as you don’t put too many in. To dry it’s a smaller load then to wash. With clothes I find the auto dry function works well but all items must be the same size and material thickness or you’ll get some items not dry on you. The best feature is the bedding and doona feature. I can wash ... MoreI bought my LG washer dryer twin wash last year when I redid my laundry. As long as you don’t put too many in. To dry it’s a smaller load then to wash. With clothes I find the auto dry function works well but all items must be the same size and material thickness or you’ll get some items not dry on you. The best feature is the bedding and doona feature. I can wash blankets, doonas, quilts no issue now. I also love the dispenser for detergent on the main washing machine. It takes only a small amount of washing liquid and softener. I now realise I was using way too much all these years. Also it’s always clean after use no build up so cleaning machine is a breeze. The only negative I have found is when you dryer on manual, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but it shrinks clothing. I also love the refresh cycle. You can refresh cushions, teddies, even a towel with steam. Love it. I also have not ironed any clothes since I bought it. I absolutely love it and when I wear this out will replace it. Only other thing is it’s heavy both the main washer and the mini are so heavy. A trick to install it is to slide a towel underneath at the front, connect all your pipes etc and then spray water on your tiles behind the washer then while damp, lift the back slightly off the ground while pushing the front back it slides on the towel on the damp tiles back in between your cupboard and the wall without scratching your floor, then just slightly lift the front to get the towel out.
The performance, the features, the way it looks: All brilliant. But the vibration (mainly on higher spin speeds) is pretty wild. In my previous 1970s weatherboard house it shook the entire house. I tried it on official LG rubber feet and some after market suction cup style ones. In the end I just had to use it on 800rpm which was fine but a little annoying not being able to leverage the higher spin speeds. In my new house it's on concrete and is infinitely better, but does still vibrate the nearby rooms a little when on higher spin speeds (also on the LG rubber feet). If I was doing this review in my new house alone with it on concrete it would get 5 stars.
Look, I love the machine itself - it’s very quiet, you can fit a lot of washing in, it’s easy to use, it does the job it needs to, but whoever designed the “child lock” on it has obviously never had kids. Who in their right mind would create a system that allowed the kids to switch the machine off, and then attach a nice tinkly musical tune to that particular button? Of course when they get access to the laundry that’s the first button they’re going to go for. Not only that, when they switch it off, it wipes the program, so you then have a load of half washed, wet washing locked in the machine, and you have to completely start again! Please redesign this lock system, or stop advertising it as a feature. Love the look and very impressed with the washing cycles. Some are a little long, but it does hold more washing, so less loads. I have found some cycles are better than others; the Mixed Clothes cycle is great for a good wash with a large loads and the Cotton cycle is way too long for large loads for me. Wifi works well notifying when the load is finished. I've used the machine for about 5 weeks now.
This washing machine is quiet and very efficient. It takes out stubborn stains from whites and darks. It has a number of different cycles to cater for a variety of washes. I have washed delicate underwear to lace curtains and blankets and everything has come out looking almost brand new again.
Far more than just good looks (though it certainly has that going for it), the LG Front Loader is quiet, has a vast array of programmes (with downloadable programmes if you connect it to the ThinQ app - which you should, the remote functionality and Google Home integration is really useful), clothes are washed perfectly and the steam option works a treat and the machine is very quiet in use. Downsides - well, it’s a front loader, so the rubber gasket retains water and needs to be dried after use (or it’ll get mould growth), but that’s common across pretty much all front loaders. Another thing to know is that connecting the unit to your wifi can be tricky - I’m using an iPhone and it refused to connect correctly (IOS15), so I used my iPad and it worked first time. No idea what that’s about (could be the cellular network getting involved in the iPhone as my iPad isn’t so equipped), but one to note. All up, it’s a great washing machine and one you’ll be happy you bought.
Purchased the washer & dryer a matching pair. Look amazing - That's where it ends unfortunately. You will get to know your local LG service tech very very well. Washer has done two water pumps, dryer has done a board and a heat pump, tech has been out so many times he now expects to have a coffee upon arrival, this all commenced within 48hrs of ownership & has now gone on for over 6months. These units particularly the washer are rubbish & simply not fit for purpose. Its has reached the stage where on each washing load we need to await the machine to trip on 0E at the 40min point then have to blow back through the water discharge pipe and reset so that the load will complete.
