The Project Source replacement water filter for my LG refrigerator is perfect. It’s a little more affordable than the factory OEM part. The size and fit were identical. Once replaced, as per instructions, run a few gallons of water through it and the cloudiness disappears as stated. I don’t see any reduction in water flow once the cartridge got ‘primed’ and cleared out. Typical. Can’t go wrong, really.

I received the Project Source 6 month refrigerator water filter. Installation was simple and straightforward. I removed the original filter and replaced it with the project Source filter. The fit was perfect. Simple installation and no leaks.I dispensed the recommended two gallons of water to clear any sediment and air bubbles in the line. The water is now clear and delicious. I would highly recommend this filter!

I had purchased a LT 700P off brand filter for my LG fridge from Amazon. Of course this brand advised it did fit my specific model LG, but of course it did not fit. I observed the top of the filter was shorter than my LG OEM filter. I did an internet search and found RFS. Ordered three OEM filters that fit normally. Good price, delivered in a timely manner, very satisfied.
When I opened the package I immediately noticed that there were directions included. It had been a while since I had last switched up the water filter in my fridge. They were very helpful and detailed, so it took no time to install. As per directions I drew 2.5 gal of water before drinking. Then the taste test, it was good clear water. Definitely found this filter to deliver well tasting water.
I have purchased filters for 1/2 the cost that were not OEM and have regretted it every time. Water would always taste funny and stream would always be much faster which tells me the filter media is insufficient. All filters (even cheap ones) will filter particles and odor but only the good ones filter the harmful chemicals. If the filter does not pass NSF 42 + 53 + 401 certification then in my opinion it is a waste of money. Any chemical that ends in ...ene or ...enol tends to be really bad for you and most likely will harm you over long term drinking. NSF 53 + 401 will neutralize most of these chemicals if you change the filter often. Spend the extra $10-15 every 3-6 months to get safer and better tasting water. Just tilt down filter housing, tilt down filter to about a 45° or as far as it easily goes and pull out old filter. Basically push button to open lid(filter cover), move the old filter downwards (at an angle), pull it out, wipe any small water droplets that may fall out of the older filter, then take the new one and snap it in and push it up in place. As easy as that.Just a reminder that you shouldn't drink water immediately after installation of the new filter. You need to rinse thru about 2.5 gallons so that the new clear filtered water goes thru the system. I did this by filing a large glass from the door water dispenser & dumping each full glass into the sink (one-by-one) rather than filling an empty bottle. That way you can literally see how cloudy the first glasses of water are, and after about the 7th glass the water becomes more & more crystal clear. Afterwards, I dumped my old ice (from the ice machine) and rinse cleaned it.. so it was ready for new clear ice to be made from the water going thru the new filter. You should follow those steps as best you can, depending on your refrigerator model/options, and you'll have great tasting refreshing crystal clear water to enjoy.I learned you should change your water filter every 6 months. Which I'll do from now on. Especially after such a noticeable difference it makes. What's great is~ the new filter comes with a nice clear sticker label that you can see when you'll have to replace it (by month), with lil circles on the months (of install & expected replacement.) You can see this in my pictures. I wrote the year on mine, just in case I forgot by next March 2023. That's just me though lol. Also to note, after you finish, if you have a "change filter" light on your fridge, you can reset it (by following your refrigerators instructions) so the warning light will show when the filter needs replacement. I chose to receive the Refrigerator water filter Project source water filter L-3 model because I like to keep the filter fresh and wanted to see how well this brand performed. The filter fit my refrigerator perfectly no leaking no issues during the replacement process. Six month filter time gives a good amount of run time between changes. The filter did not slow the water flow at all, initial flow had the usual spurting clearing the air as any filter does during replacement. There was no discoloration but initially did have some bubbles clouding the water. Running the expected amount of water through the filter cleared up the water which was then crystal clear and tasted great. I would get another when the time comes in six months.
