Pros: None. Cons: Purchase was made for my Uni student daughter.Unfortunately had to return product as it did not easily play DVDs. It required a multitude of programmes to be downloaded for this to happen.
Bought it to re-install WoW on laptop whose DVD/R drive had failed, easy setup up and installed 7x discs in very short time. Looks nice and feels sturdy, but still slim and easy to tuck into office drawer.
Relive the days of old before USB sticks. :) A great unit. works well both burning and watching DVD's although I did find myself a better burning program than the one provided.
That it's only slow old USB2 is buried in tiny text most of the way down the page (but it's USB3 COMPATIBLE! Because it's USB). So it turns out it's practically identical to the really old one I meant to replace. Also feels rather flimsy. I would have thought such units would be cheaper in 2020
Pros: - looks pro and slim- can connect to a TV and watch DVDs and no need additional power source.- This is an external drive, light weight and slim, great for laptop that has no optical drive.- It's LG.- It's a DVD RW drive. Cons: - I couldn't read the driver CD that came with it. I read the same CD using an HP DVD drive and it read the CD perfectly. So what was going on? I have no idea.
it works perfectly fine, does what it says itll do on the box, my one and only issue is the cable that connects it to the computer is super short, so it needs to sit ontop of my tower or it wont reach a usb port
In order for this external drive to work, you must add an usb-> mirco usb connection for power connection before it works properly, and this unit doesn't come with the cable out of box....
