I’ve been able to easily customize specific settings (such as bass, treble, etc.) using the remote or side buttons on the unit. Additionally, the sound bar even has a “bass booster” mode that helps increase the bass in your media. The subwoofer is also quite impressive! When I have the volume turned up, my walls began to shake from the power of the subwoofer! Overall, I’m extremely impressed with this sound bar and would highly recommend it to anyone that has been searching for a well-balanced, powerful audio solution! I bought 3 sound bars this sn4, Sony front surround hts350 and Samsung hw b550 to compare and keep the best of this 3. Sn4 vs hts350: the virtual x of Lg gives theathe like feel, sonys virtual technology is garbage. Overall sound quality LG is far superior. Sn4 vs b550. B550 is much louder but sound quality is squeky and poor, i tried lowering the treble on b550 its still poor clarity. Sn4 will not get as loud but the sound clarity is 2 times better. It was time to replace our 10+ year old Sony soundbar. Was a challenge to find a good soundbar with multiple HDMI ports at a lower price point. I figured we have a good LG TV, might as well get a matching audio setup. After filtering the results offered by Best Buy online, this showed up and it was on sale. Quick trip to the store to hear it in person and we were happily on our way. Install was quick and easy. Pairing the Firestick was painless. Audio settings are limited but effective. Plenty of volume for an apartment. Sound quality is quite acceptable. Bass could be deeper but that's probably a minor quibble depending on what you're watching. Overall, we're quite happy with it.

Bought this for the wifes TV. I generally dont watch it. However occasionally I do. Our main TV is set up with a complete surround sound system. This is a secondary TV that lives in the family room, and this room is used for all sorts. For years we have used the onboard sound of the TV and I thought it was getting harder to hear clearly...but then maybe I am slightly deaf. The wife wasnt complaining, in fact she complained more about me buying this for her as she thought it would be messy. Now it is connected and working, mounted to the TV (so it isnt messy), its very impressive. In some ways cant tell the difference between the two set ups, which is a huge achievement from such a simple thing.

So we have to use the TV's remote (also LG) to change the volume or the soundbars own remote. It has Bluetooth and wireless features, but as I'm always after the best quality of anything, this is plugged into a digital optical cable. The sound is clear and impactful where needed, and when playing games it brings out all the atmospheric sounds. Purchased as an open box item, and it arrived looking brand new. Easy to set up and link to the wireless sub and my TV. Optical cable is included, but go with HDMI-ARC for full control with your TV remote. Sound is full, maybe lacking a little high end clarity, but it's not a high end unit. For the price, I'm very satisfied. AI sound setting is the best balanced for TV and music use. With the WF not cranked the sub isn't overwhelming, but it keeps the sound from being too muddied. I highly recommend.
This unit solved most of my problems of an outdoor ceiling mounted TV and at a brilliantly low price! AUDIO PROBLEMS SOLVED!!HOWEVERI have noticed that the soundbar and sub are constantly in communication with each other, even when the TV is turned off. I have no idea if this on/off habit of the soundbar is caused by mis-matching brands (Toshiba TV/LG Soundbar) or is peculiar to my unit (product fault perhaps) and I have not been able to glean answers from the "experts" at the store either. I'm also not sure if it is simply because it is outside the house (YES... it is under cover in the Alfresco area!!) nor have I been able to find a resolution for the "problem" in the instruction manuals from either appliance (or on-line).As I said.... Audio problems solved.... with "quirks" BUT....When I'm able to be sitting outside, in the glow of the evening with a few cold bevvies or a glass (or 3) of red, watching the game or a favourite movie as I am while I write this review, it seems like a small price to pay for a whole heap of pleasure..... and now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to turn off the Sub... It's time to fire up the BBQ for dinner..
Bought this and was initially happy - whilst expensive it offered acceptable performance and good connection options. However, not much more than a year later and the subwoofer will not connect at all. I've gone through all the troubleshooting guides and it simply will not connect, which is apparently a common problem with this product. I've contacted LG and they aren't offering repairs - not even paid for. I've then asked if I can purchase a connection card, but they will not sell this to me either. This is apparently because of "the integrity of the product". Long story short I am left with a fairly new and expensive soundbar which is completely unusable, with no options to get it fixed.
I bought this soundbar for a smaller living room, I have the LG SN9YG for the bigger room, and I can say this LG SN4 soundbar is still great in comparison and the subwoofer still produce more than enough bass. The setup was easy, the same as LG SN9YG, and connected using HDMI cable. The subwoofer is made of wood, but has a carbon fibre looking finish in black. The soundbar is also well made and not plastic like. If you're looking for a cheaper soundbar that provides great sound, this is a great option.

The bad news is that unfortunately for no reason the unit goes into mute mode for around 30 seconds and then splutters back to life this happens intermittently and is most frustrating. I have spoken to LG customer support and followed their advice on HDMI and Optical Cables and also performed a hard reset but the problem still persists. The new Hisense TV I purchased at the same time should be compatible according to LG and JB HiFi. The rear speakers were bought separately and were difficult to get because LG have discontinued them, I bought a display set from JB but had to return them because they were faulty.
