LG XD5B14WH QuadWash Freestanding Dishwasher

Could not be happier with this dishwasher. Was not intending to buy a white one, but the clean lines and overall aesthetic of the LG convinced me that it would fit perfectly in a modern kitchen. The cleaning itself is excellent and the results, even on baked-in dishes, are flawless. There are plenty of options to choose from to run the cycles including the ability to download other ones. The machine configuration is flexible and ready to adjust. The machine is also super quiet which is great. Service and delivery from Good Guys were great and the installation was simplified by organising at purchase time. Very happy with this dishwasher.

I bought this for 1 week Top rack is miss aligned to the water spout when top rack goes back in and seem flimsy. Layout is bad and not as good as the last one. Last one had fan dry , this one does not and still wet at the end. Turbo with extra dry is 1H40mins, last one was 59mins and dried. The cutlery basket holds water in the handles. Im really disappointed, The cycle takes nearly 3 hours it does not dry the dishes. On a eco cycle it is over 2 hours our previous LG took 55 mins. With everything dry. How is this saving water with such long cycles. . The bottom draw comes off tracks easily when pulled out and doesnt have a good design to stop it from being pulled out too far. I would not recommend it.

I was sceptical at first, given it's price compared to other leading brands, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is quiet, easy to use and achieves a great clean every time. We often don't stack it well but it doesn't seem to affect how good of a result we get. There are heaps of options for putting in odd shaped items like our compost caddy and water bottles of various shapes and sizes. We like not having the horizontal cutlery system in the top shelf. Instead, the old style vertical 'basket' type thing works really well with a variety of hole sizes for different utensils. It would be good to have this basket with even just one small section without any grooves to fit, say, a baby spoon or two that don't fit through any of the holes. The install was easy enough but given that we have to have the machine a way away from the water stopcock and go up through some holes in the cupboard dividers neither hose was long enough which meant a bit of time mucking round trying to get the right extension for each hose. I didn't wan to cut any of the hoses as the inlet hose has some fancy contraption on it which wouldn't work if we had to cut it to install an extension. No leaks or other issues but it was just a pain when I was expecting a fairly simple install. Most users wouldn't have this problem. We just own an old, pre-dishwasher house, I guess.
